Whilst the food choices were good, we felt it was extremely expensive for the mains, which needed to have sides then added to them. We didn't realise that until the food arrived and saw we would still be hungry. Although they said it would take 5 mins, we then had to wait 20 minutes for a small and expensive portion of chips to arrive, by which time we had finished the mains. We ordered the asparagus and goats cheese tart, and the chicken schnitzel. We also then felt that the 12.5% service charge was a lot given that the service hadn't been fabulous (it took 25 minutes before our food order was taken). It has been one of our favourite places to eat in town, but we will think twice now.

Good food from a sensibly sized menu, delivered promptly; truly excellent selection of beers and helpful advice from the staff. All in all a very good experience indeed.

Went in for the Sunday roast. Was quite happy with the choice, the beef dinner was very nice. The beer selection is quite impressive and they have a decent wine list. Service was pleadant as well.

Great venue, great service and great food. We were a little disappointed by the dessert (the cheesecake - baked and a bit dry) but other than that, it was a great experience. The rest of the food was amazing, a gorgeous selection of beers and ales, and a great view onto the streets of Cambridge. Will definitely go again. But only on special occasions as it is quite pricey.

We have eaten here before but will not be again. The food was O.K. but very small portions, no vegetables included. My son, who is a very slim build, could have eaten was consisted of his dinner as a starter. The cost was exorbitant.

The service from the waiting staff was poor, it took them ages to seat us and we were just standing there waiting. The establishment is also extremely loud as in headache inducing load. It was so bad we had leave early. I will not be going back

Second visit to this place and it doesn’t disappoint, quick service and polite staff, the Sunday roast is the best eat out roast I’ve had in years, can’t say anything about the rest of the menu as I have always been focused on the roast!!

The place and location are fabulous. However the food was a let down. They took the food off the bill but I wouldn’t go back there again and disappointed as I took friends and family there.
