Located in the heart of the city centre in Trinity (behind Marks and Spencers), we are set over four floors with vibrant décor evoking the feeling of San Sebastiàn and an intimate outdoor seating area.

The restaurant is closed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After booking this restaurant through OpenTable and receiving an email to confirm my booking only 2 days before, which I confirmed I would be attending. To travel and turn up for the restaurant to be closed and looking as if it had for some time! Not what was needed when trying to celebrate a birthday and therefore had to quickly find somewhere in Leeds at prime time on a Saturday night to eat!
Restaurant had closed down. Good job I checked my booking directly before turning up. Won’t be using this site again
This restaurant now shut. Turned up and all shut down. Very annoyed.
They're permanently closed, would have been good to be informed before turning up for our reservation
We arrived at the restaurant only to find it in darkness and closed, no notification from them to say it was closed, ruined our anniversary evening as trying to find a table in Leeds on a Saturday evening without a reservation is near impossible
Booked for husbands 30th birthday. Arrived in time for our booking and it was closed. Only had an email to confirm the night before. Shocking
When we arrived the restaurant, it was closed. There was no sign on the door or any message sent to us from the restaurant. In fact we received a message the day before, asking us to confirm our table. This is clearly not a serious establishment, as they do not see fit to let their customers know that they have closed.
The restaurant had closed down when we arrived! We then had to quickly find another restaurant on a busy Saturday evening.
I was appalled to find Pintura abandoned on the day & time I had booked a table. The restaurant had obviously closed recently but not only was I not informed, but I received an email only the day before asking if I was still planning to take my table. Open table have now asked me to review a restaurant that Is closed. Ridiculous. Have they gone out of business??
When we arrived for our table the place was shut, no answer on the phone. Please update your website
Difficult to review as despite confirming the booking the day before the restaurant was closed when we arrived so we had to go elsewhere which was very disappointing and annoying.
When we arrived the place was SHUT! We booked a table and the place was Shutttttt! Horrendous service by open table and pintura.
Can't really review, we got there and it had closed down, not good and Open Table should have known this.
The food came out really quickly and the servers always explained how we were supposed to eat the tapas or suggested combinations of flavours
Just so sorry to hear you are closing !
It’s a few years sincewe have been . There were several items not available on the menu and it didn’t seem as extensive but that could be my memory.
Fantastic meal. This restaurant is a real superb choice and centrally located beside Marks and Spencer
Delicious food and wine
Best tapas around by a country mile, very creative menu and top level service.
I am a regular visitor to Pintura. I have a different experience every time and I can’t wait to return. Amazing food, good variety of drinks and a great atmosphere.
Tasty as ever and great service! Always a fave.
Good food, good staff, good atmosphere.
Just be aware to book the cubicle seats in advance.
Excellent venue with modern decor and fitting ambience, but unfortunately comes short with the quality of the food, especially compared to other tapas available in the city.
Lovely food, well explained by a knowledgeable waitress. Tapas style of delivery explained ( if you didn’t know how it worked you’d be eating cold food) offered specials and bin end wines both of which were delicious. Thoroughly recommend 😊
Nice environment and service but some of the food let’s it down. Specials are over priced.
The food was poor
The service average
The prices ok
I would not go again
Having read impressive reviews of La Pintura I was expecting high quality, authentic Basque dishes in a cool restaurant with excellent service. Unfortunately, this was not what I experienced. Following a warm and professional welcome from the maitre d’ we then had a 10 minute wait for our cocktails and a further 15 minutes before we asked if we could order food.
The tabla casa was in fact delicious and well presented, though showed no culinary skill - merely good choices of cheese and charcuterie. The brandade de bacalao barely tasted of fish at all (perhaps a smoked fish would lend a stronger flavour); the sweet peppers (from a jar) and the burnt edges of the toast completely overpowered any flavour of cod. The arroz de marisco was topped with delicious prawns (though still with head and shell on) but I’m glad I had my reading glasses with me to spot the tiny rice-sized slices of calimari. Worst of all was the patatas bravas, a Spanish basic - most of the cubes of potato were burnt on the outside and still crunchy raw in the middle. A particular Basque technique perhaps?
This was a wedding anniversary meal out for us which involved sorting out babysitting, taxis and a train journey. La Pintura was a real let down. I can’t believe they offer a ‘gastronomic experience’ so customers can learn to replicate this food. The chef must have an opinion of himself even higher than the prices and as misjudged as other reviews.
Fabulous Tapas, wine and great service. Lovely relaxed restaurant.
Had a fantastic night with friends. Great value for money and some real stand out dishes. Special mention to Vinnie who works on the bar for his great cocktail recommendations.
I regularly have business clients over from Holland and they won’t eat anywhere else in Leeds... it’s that good, food, gin and friendly staff
Visited during Eat Leeds week. Lovely food. Great cider and beer. A nice mid-week treat. I'm sure we'll be back.
Love Pintura. Great tapas and good service. We had the meat platter which was lovely.
We love the food here especially the hake, which was delicious. There is also a good selection of wines.
Lovely food and drink as always! Nice staff and atmosphere
Really nice food in a convenient location. The staff are very helpful and friendly. But the food was fantastic. We went in on a Sunday evening so it was quite quiet. The staff happily went through the menu for us, having not been before it was good to know what was on the menu. Well priced for what it was as well so would recommend this to anyone who wants tapas in Leeds
My husband and I booked a table here before going on to Leeds Grand Theatre. We started downstairs in the bar while we waited for our table as we were abit early. If you love gin then they have an extensive selection of gins. I tried a blueberry gin which was gorgeous. We were shown to our table on the 2nd floor. The service was excellent and we were looked after by a lovely young man. We ordered two starters from the special board. First they ran out of one of them and we were offered an alternative but then the second one had run out. To make amends we were given alternatives on the house. We started with gambas in tempura batter which were especially nice. We went to have a sweet potato dish which was the nicest sweet potatoes we had ever eaten. A crispy pork dish and another prawn dish with rice. All were freshly cooked and were excellent. We finished off with chocolate cheesecake and coffees. All in all a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely be returning.
First visit but it will not be the last … brilliant experience and the staff were so helpful … wonderful .. Thank you
The food was good and freshly prepared and we didnt have to wait too long. Staff were attentive
Fantastic food and good service, with the exception of the bar downstairs who lied about their ability to make cocktails, this as a disappointing start to an otherwise brilliant dining experience.
