Pizza East - Shoreditch
we were a 5 people table and we got a delay between the same order of 15 minutes. I got my pizza when my friends end it theirs. Not a good service.
First time for me and it didn’t disappoint.
Pizzas and cocktails were outstanding
Annoying we couldn't all sit together. Music was a bit too loud, but otherwise it was a good place!
Amazing as always. Food is unbeatable! Not cheap but absolutely worth it. Service was friendly and efficient.
A bit louder than usual but that's expected on Valentine's Day! Food was excellent as usual. Just one small thing where they told us we had 1.5 hours at the table but they told us to leave 15min early when we were finishing our mains which made it feel rushed towards the end.
We went there on Sunday and the staff were friendly and great. They were efficient. The roast is wonderful but is huge - you could easily share the chicken one we had! Lovely place for kids too as quite spacious and good acoustics
Rude manager and passive aggressive when telling us we’d need to leave the table as he had other guests who needed it.
Extremely attentive staff, lovely atmosphere and great for children. Pizza was incredible!
Delicious white pizza, attentive service and just one of the best pizza restaurants in this area.
I've been here several times, everytime the food is outstanding. The service this time was a little lack luster, we asked for a few more minutes to order then actually it was about 15 minutes later when the waiter came back again/I had to ask "can we order now". We didn't order any alcohol so after that we were kind of left alone until again we got someones attention to get the bill. It was a busy night though so can't complain too much
Lovely afternoon. Service a too much in your face for me but I had all afternoon so wanted a more chilled experience - guess if you’re busy that’s exactly what you want. Starters (lamb meat balls & mussels) & desserts ( sorbet & cheese & biscuits) delicious, salmon for the main a little dry for me.
Love the whole ambiance & location very much like being in Berlin. Would visit again
Pizza East had been recommended to me by the client that I was meeting for lunch, service was incredibly slow and seemed quite disjointed in the fact that it took forever to get the attention of the waiter and once the order had been placed it was really slow to arrive at the table.
I didn't think that the food was of a great standard, I was recommended one of the pizzas by the waiter which I had and was really disappointed - barely any toppings and the base seemed burned in some places and completely raw in others.
Has the potential to be a really good place to go for food but certainly wouldn't return if it stayed as it is at present.
Really good food atmosphere and staff.
Will be happy to come back again and recommend this place.
Lovely food but wouldn’t recommend as I feel like you can get much better value for money elsewhere.
Always a good place for lunch with a big group. It’s bright, busy (in a good way) and the food is consistently good.
Great as always, trendy, stylish, but not too over priced.
The service was tentative even whilst busy. The food was amazing and a few of us had tweaks to the dishes which was no problem. We will be returning.
Great food and great service! Will definitely be back
Far too noisy. Music turned up during the evening. Spoiled the experience. Starters were tasty. Pizzas needed another minute in the oven. Service very good.
Went for my birthday dinner, service has taken a turn for the worst, has to ask the waiter where our drinks were 4 times and then asked to speak to the manager about it and she said she would but did not and was not offered an apology asked to for it to be taken off and they didn’t.
Will be writing into the management about how bad my birthday experience was.
This once was a great place, now suffers from a huge ego, mediocre service and food.
This was my seventh or eight time in this restaurant and I will definitely come back as I love their pizzas (in particular the San Daniele, Burrata and rocket one, which is really an interesting combination). However, this time we ordered a bottle of wine and I must admit that their mark-up on wines is pretty "aggressive": we ended up paying 25 pounds for a bottle of wine which you can probably buy for around 7 at the supermarket.
It is common knowledge that basically all restaurants make money on wine, but this felt more of a rip-off than usual.
In a nutshell: go there, enjoy their tasty pizza and drink their beers or non alcoholic beverages :)
I had dinner with a friend and it was nice and yummy!
£8 for a tiny slab of tiramisu was disappointing. Saying that I loved the food & will be dining again soon. 8/10 !!
Foot ok but we had to wait more than 20min for the pizza to come
Service was clumsy and the pizzas were either burnt or under cooked.
Service was so slow. Shame, because the food is decent!
Not sure I would describe the noise level as "Energetic" -- It's almost too loud to hold a conversation.
Always consistently good. I’m great value and great atmosphere for any occasion.
The staffing was a shambles, no one seemed to know what table to work on.The menu had less choice than it used to have, considering the place was hardly rammed, the orders arrived late. The drinks arrived even later. The quality of the meal was very poor.which is a shame as we have had some fantastic meals in the past. What made everything worse, having to wait such a while was being asked to vacate our table as people were waiting(in a partly filled room)
You seem to be on a downward spiral, which I find very sad and you should find very worrying.
Delicious Sunday roast but sad to see the photo booth has gone !
Good pizza, and nice location. A bit noisy otherwise great place.
Great food, wine and service - so in my eye, great value for money. The pizza's are always consistently good, the toppings are fresh, tasty and the combinations exciting. It's consistently excellent and mixed with the friendly/attentive but not overbearing service - I would highly recommend.
Warm welcome in an industrial atmosphere. Amazing starters and wonderful tasty pizzas. In another life if I wouldn’t be obsessed by my kilos, I would eat every day at Pizza East and maybe yearly rent a table to live inside the restaurant. Very inspiring borough. I love you guys.
Nice atmosphere and good pizza.
Delicious truffle cheese pizza, and roast is a decent size with cheese cauliflower served as a side.. Very kids friendly with crayons and puzzles and colouring to keep kids occupied.
Really delicious food, great place to celebrate my birthday with some friends
Amazing food, atmosphere and service. Will be back very soon!
We had a good time during our Christmas lunch for colleagues. Our waitress was very friendly.
Pizza East is a fun venue; has been a few years since I've been there so wanted to check it out again, and the pizzas were still very yummy (had 4 cheese and truffle). The service was sporadic; in fact I think I had to call over every single waiter for every single order / thing we needed (drinks, food, dessert, bill) but they're pretty pleasant. Would like to go back and try another pizza.
I always enjoy having dinner in Pizza East, actually when someone is visiting me in London I always bring them there. This last time but the pizza was cold when starting eating. But apart from this time, the service, environment and food are always great! :)
