Best pizza in town. Another great meal at this local favourite
Soggy pizza, very overrated and miserable staff. Swerve and go to Yard Sale...
The food was good but over all it was nothing special
I treated my boyfriend to dinner here one snowy Sunday. The waiter was really lovely, the burrata was delicious, my wine was really nice and both our pizzas were very tasty. We were served very quickly by a very friendly and polite member of staff. I would definitely come again and definitely recommend.
Not Neapolitana (sourdough) which is amazing because London is full of pizza alta (tall).
Great pizza, very good service! Staff are friendly and made good suggestions. Very satisfied, also good value for money.
Really great service, and wonderful food. I ate way way too much, it was so delicious. The wine was really nice too.
I wanted to take a young Sicilian friend out for authentic pizza in London. I had read the buzz surrounding L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele but was put off by the long waits, inability to make a reservation and the limited menu. Instead I read up and tried Apollo. My Sicilian friend was not disappointed; he loved the authentic pizza, antipasti and organic southern Italian red wine. This place is a gem. It mixes authentic pizza and bread cooking with interesting locally grown ingredients in a wonderful very small and casual setting. We will return.
One of the best pizzas we've had in london, neopolitan style! The only strange thing we found that even though the ingredients were authentic, no one who worked there seemed to be Italian! That being said the food was delicious and reasonably priced so will most probably come again! Thanks!
Food is acceptable but nothing special at all. Small restaurant, that's ok for a quick bite
Hats off to Pizzeria Apollo ... tough competition for best pizza prizes, but if you like sourdough pizza and appreciate an imported Neapolitan wood burning pizza oven, you'll love what the team are doing in Stoke Newington.
Love the pizza here. There are always interesting specials. Burrata is fantastic as a starter although our pizzas arrived before we'd finished starters and there was no room on table so we just had to abandon them. That could have been handled differently by the waitress. I've got used to drinking wine out of tiny tumblers now. Overall it was good as always and is my go to pizza place in Stokey.
I only had one egg on my shakshuka pizza pie and it looked a bit sorry for itself. The shakshuka was a bit cold too. Wish I'd ordered a pizza. Will try again.
Amazing pizza, whitout any doubts on the top 5 pizzeria in London. Priced fair, good atmosphere but be sure to book in advance as the week ends are very busy ...
I reserve a table for my birthday there, we was 3 kids and 6 adults.. they put us in a table next to the pizza oven area , very small room we couldn't move anywhere one of the kids is 1 year old and they didn't have a high chair so we keep her on our lap and she was upset and some time was screaming because she couldn't sit properly.. so one waitress (blonde) and pizza chef come to us few time to ask us for the kids to be quiet.. all of us we fill very anxious to make them quiet all the time .. and we didn't enjoy the night at all ! Obviously not kids friendly. Never go back
I love going to Pizzeria Apollo as the pizzas are exceptionally good and it feels like home. It also happens to be very convenient for dining pre-concert at The Waiting Room
Great shakusha pie pizza that kept us happy and full
Very nice pizza and lovely ice-cream/coffee for desert.
the pizza was awesome but they were very light on toppings... like 5 small pieces of pepperoni on a giant pizza..
Second visit to Apollo and although it was not as convenient as other options that I had I chose to go there because the pizzas are delicious. Service is delightful and it is everything a favourite neighbourhood restaurant should aspire to be - not fancy or fussy, just a lovely welcome and tasty food.
Great place, always good staff and drinks. Better than most pizza
I love Apollo the food is a great price and the staff are always friendly and welcoming!
Great food - good quality ingredients and plenty of them. Also got to sit on a round table for 7 people, which is something you seldom get these days. Service was a tad slow and would've liked more options for pizza toppings & drinks.
Best pizza in London!!! Absolutely delicious. As good as in Napoli. And great staff.
Overall it was ok, pizza was good but service was quite slow and upstairs dining is much better than downstairs. Enjoyed the music. Need more vegetarian options.
Excellent pizza as always, I don't know where you can get better in London. Good service and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. We were impressed this time with the range of unusual Italian aperitifs/digestifs. A nice change from the pizza chains you see everywhere. Highly recommended.
Thank you to Pizzeria Apollo for making my birthday meal a great occasion. The basement dining room is perfect for larger parties, the food and wine were top notch and really good value. These guys deserve your custom - support your local independents!
So much better than the pizza chain open a few stores away, Apollo's pizza and ambience is in a league of its own. Great atmosphere and great food in a charming decor.
Best pizza in London, lovely staff and great drinks
Great food, atmosphere and happy staff
we sat outside and it smelt of toilets. pizza was good though.
Definitely some of the best pizza I've had in London, maybe anywhere.
Decor is cool and just the right side of pretentious. Staff are welcoming and friendly, atmosphere is relaxed but intimate.
Just needs it's basics tidying up a bit. Service wasn't quite quick enough and a bit sloppy. It's a bit too hot next to the oven too.
Overall though I'm a big fan and will definitely come back.
I arrived late due to transport problems and as I was going to a concert nearby I had very limited time. The team at Apollo did a great job to make things happen for me without at all sacrificing on the high quality of the pizza I had. It is really difficult to get a simple dish like a pizza right but this one was delicious. Very happy to go back if I am again in the area. Full marks for spirit and cheerfulness of the team too.
Food was delicious good ingredients however, during the night we all became v dehydrated and sleeping was difficult
Delicious pizza, welcoming staff and a nice range of cocktails too!
I love this place. Seriously good pizzas, good friendly service and great value. It's small and cosy and gets my vote as one of my favourite Stokey dinner venues.
Best pizza I've had in London, just edging out the also excellent Sodo in Clapton. Dark chocolate tart is superb too. Very friendly, helpful staff and great value. Would go back every day if I could.
I really don’t understand what all the fuss about Apollo Pizzeria is about.
The pizzas are decent but I wouldn’t say they are the best in the area and we were really disappointed with the wine list: only one choice of red, a bad organic one; and two (or three?) organic white wine options, all served in water glasses.
We will not be going back there.
Small cute place. Pizzas are great! And staff very professional. Totally recommend
