P.J. Clarke's DC
In our nation’s capitol, the story continues as oak and mosaic floors, red leather banquets and walls lined with eccentric portraits and nostalgic photos contribute to a reassuring familiarity that is classic P.J.s, but also construe a distinct Washington sensibility. Seasoned bartenders make favorite classic cocktails the right way; dexterous shuckers ply the freshest shellfish at a marble topped Raw Bar; and the old-school, convivial dining room welcomes government A-listers, students and their families and visitors to our capitol.

One of the best stores in this chain. Creative, tasty lunch menu along with reliable staples; excellent service and fair price/value. Will return again.
Reliable, decent food presented in a high-end manner in a casual setting.
Excellent service and food
Drink order fell through the cracks, server needed to be reminded
Good food and attentive service.
Nothing about the restaurant is memorable -- while not bad, not worth a return visit
Food was very Good. Steak s and burgers were Great! Cream spinach was bland.
Our waiter Travis was excellent!
Only issue was that it's a bit dark in there. Food was outstanding. Homemade tater tots!! And the brussel sprouts as a side is amazing. Great service and quality.
The service was great. The food was delicious. Our waiter, Bobby, was attentive and knowledgeable about the specials for the evening. We will be back.
Experience was solid. I will visit again.
We were at lunch celebrating a co-worker's last day. We enjoyed the food very much. It was a wonderful lunch and the service was excellence. Our server was very polite, courteous, and attentive. thank you,
Possibly the best oysters in DC. A rotating menu keeps return visits interesting. Consistently excellent. We meet here monthly for lunch and it never disappoints.
One of my favorite eateries when I'm in DC.
Convenient, friendly, well trained staff, and well prepared food.
Great wait service, nice table settings and great mixed drinks from the bar. Very affordable with good variety of food options. Waiter made great recommendations. Very attentive and left us nothing to be desired. Perfect location across from The St. Regis hotel
Solid food, good service. Recommend. Great for after work drinks.
The food was very good. The service was inattentive and very slow.
Mediocre food, small portions and fairly high prices. A disappointing experience. On a more positive note, the room is nice and the sever was pleasant, but no need to return.
This is the second time I’ve been to this restaurant and it was not the best experience. The raw bar is great, but the service was slow even though they weren’t that busy and the food tasted like it had been sitting out for a while before arriving at our table.
My advice, stick to the bar!
EXCELLENT DINNER, PECAN ENCRUSTED TROUT WAS A HUGE HIT! THE CHEESECAKE AND THE APPLE COBBLER WERE TERRIFIC. THE SERVICE WAS VERY GREAT!
I was in town on business and just wanted a quick bite. The wait staff was super. They were very polite, answered all my questions and were delightful to talk with. I spent most of the time catching up on email, they were attentive without being intrusive. I will definitely come again.
P.J. Clarke's and Hamilton are my two downtown go-to places for a solid meal and smooth service.
Casual and simple menu. Good quality and even though they mixed up one if our orders they were very quick to correct the error.
Nice ambience, quiet atmosphere and good service.
Seating location, holiday decor, ambiance and food quality
Very good food with excellent service!
We used our $50 OpenTable certificate and it did not reduce our service at all.
We will definitely return.
Losing its touch a bit. Soup was cold and the salad was way over-dressed. Still a good atmosphere.
Service was exceptional, food was very good, but not sure it was worth the price.
We sat in the downstairs area, the upstairs was much more festive but extremely loud
Waited 58 minutes to be served a soggy cold sandwich. Very disappointing, as I’ve really enjoyed dining there in the past.
Kevin our waiter was wonderful and always very attentive and friendly. Restaurant was decorated beautifully and our overall experience was wonderful.
The holiday decorations were beautiful. It's a good looking restaurant with a great menu and excellent food. I will return when I am in DC again.
We went to P.J. ‘s for brunch. A member of our party had the omelet I did not care for the eggs Benedict- over cooked.
Excellent restaurant and food/drinks. One of my favorite go to restaurants in DC for business or personal. Great for lunch also!
If the food were as good as the service. This would be a worthy spot. Unfortunately the food is mediocre.
We booked a late reservation for our last night I Washington after a hockey game. Been many times at P.J’s restaurant I NY and have always been satisfied. This was our second visit to P.J’s in DC and the first time was really good so you expecting the same but it wasn’t. Service could been better and when we just started whit a starter the main course was served, was the kitchen closing? Ordered some gravy but the chef couldn’t have taste it and it almost ruined the steak, the waiter agreed something was wrong but no more. So little fan of PJ’s I hope this only happened ounce and We still going to pay them a visit.
Good food, noisy, waiter was a bit ditzy and wore too much perfume.
The burger wasn’t that flavorful. The bun wasn’t toasted.
Food was great, it’s a little loud for easy conversation but overall a great choice!
