Really excellent food and great service. Lovely restaurant
I booked the restaurant for a birthday meal for myself and 3 friends... was a great choice.
Excellent value for money, a nice choice on a limited menu.
Food was great, good size portions beautifully presented.
Service was top notch - we had a fabulous waiter who didn't mind all the questions, and even joined in a rendition of Happy Birthday to me, when he presented me with a complimentary brownie at the end!
Highly recommended... we'll be back!
I brought my family at Plateau and the service was stunning.
Thank you to Robert that very well looked after my family on the night :)
Food exceptional and very good value :) Can't wait to go back and try the Saturday Brunch!
The location is amazing. We had a table near the window so the view was very good.
There is a set menu which is quite cheap. The quality of the food is very high, unluckily the portions weren’t particularly big.
I will go back.
Went with family for mother’s birthday and ordered the set spring menu. There was a group of office workers having drinks so it was quite loud. Service was good. Food was okay, nothing to rave about although one guest really disliked the duck risotto main.
I went for my Birthday, nice place but I think the food was a bit overpriced, you can’t have a burger of without a chips and be charged if you want it
I really liked the place, my guests not so much..
Great views into Cabot square
The pea soup was great and good flavours. The fisherman’s pie very decadent and creamy. With chunks of fish and other fresh seafood.
Great service! The waiter really went a great mile to ensure we enjoyed our evening. Food okish. We thought the salmon was a healthy option whilst it was drenched in cream.
Three of us all had 2 courses from the set menu. Starter and main. We all enjoyed it. First we were given a nice table in the bistro. The food was very good and good value. Two had the flat iron steak and chips which very popular and good portions. I had the chicken dish which was tasty and tender. Service was very good and friendly staff. All in all very enjoyable.
Food is good
The food was not great. The service was extremely slow. It took an hour for the food to be served. We asked to have our dessert to take away because we had go back to work. They didn't have any take away boxes so they packed the desserts in aluminum foil.
We went to Plateau for a team lunch, 8 people, and ordered food straight away. The food was only served 1,5 hours later. My colleague who ordered a ‘medium well’ beef steak got her steak raw inside, she had to return it and also to cancel her dessert as we hat to return to work. My Thai red chicken curry was average, rice was over cooked. Beef tartar was good though.
Very slow service.
The restaurant is nice enough but very quiet on a Mon night! They had two nice but over zealous waiters who both kept coming up to our table. Probably because it was so quiet and they hadn’t much else to do. Our main waiter was obviously newly trained and was too attentive! We were trying to have a very sensitive conversation and he was at the table interrupting us every few mins. He was obviously enjoying his new job, which is all very good but these waiters also need to learn good service should be invisible.. i.e. on hand when you need them and not when you don’t. I could understand if it was busy but it was so quiet, if we needed them it would have been so easy to get their attention. Also, I did say several times, ‘we will call you over if we need you, thank you’. Another point is when clearing the table the two waiters could have come together and done it in 1 visit, instead they visited 3times.
At the end of the night, the other waiter even came to the table to clear the cocktail menu! Why? Could this not have waited until we left?
Such a shame as the food was good. Small potions though and ingredients not on the menu such as; the veg with my pork belly was not named and it did not stipulate chilli! Which I can’t eat so had to pick out. My friend had the salmon which just said ‘in a caper butter’ and yet came out on a bed of orzo risotto which I would have ordered had the menu stipulated this.
I say all this as constructive criticism and hope it can be helpful to improve what could be a really fantastic place to eat.
Did not enjoy the food at all only drinks was good
Another excellent meal at Plateau.
It was on 14 of February, my boyfriend and I ate a fish (cod), steak (rare), drunk a bottle of wine and took starters. All was exellent. After all, the waiter presented to us compliment from the chef - a small pice of chocolate cake. It was so cute. By the way, the view was fantastic as well. Thank you so much.
Boy disappointed. Burger wasn’t great. Should have gone for the steak
The deserts were perfectly fine but the main courses were not that good at all (cod served cold and lacking seasoning and the beef and huge dollop of potato mash boring and excessive). It's a very pleasant setting and waiting staff are friendly enough, but a restaurant has to serve decent food first and foremost.
Visited Plateau Bar and Grill on a busy Saturday evening, bit too much noise coming from the bar area. Good view of Canary Wharf ice skating rink. Food was generally very good, smoked salmon, lamb tangine, steak, wild mushrooms and scrambled eggs. Not the best burger ever. Reasonably good service, friendly staff.
Chose Plateau to celebrate my birthday with family, in advance booked a table for certain time. When we arrived, nobody was at hostess place so we needed to wait about 7 mins when finally somebody came to us, lady told that our table is not ready yet and we can wait at the bar. We agreed, sat at the bar, received cocktails menu straight away and then waited 15 mins more till somebody finally came to take an order. Already spent more than 20 mins there without anything drinking or eating, so I went to talk with the lady when is our table finally going to be ready, when she told me that we were late so they gave up our table?!?! I’m sorry but everywhere you have to keep a table for client for 10-15 minutes. After almost 40 mins we ended up finally sitting at the table, and that’s only when we finally received our cocktails as well...
Food was good, cocktails were alright and wine was fine.
Unfortunately, never coming back and probably don’t recommend this place.
Solid place on canary wharf. Good food, great service. Really nice atmosphere. Catered to the banking crowd for sure. Still nice and recommended for a night out. Had the evening standard menu and thought was good value.
Often come here for business lunches, food and service is always good quality
Ideal casual dining for lunch. Food is excellent, service is very good. It is a bit difficult to find though and not obviously located... You have to go in to Waitrose entrance, turn right and find the lift to the 4th floor - it's not advertised on the outside of the building at all.
Took my partner here for his birthday and he loved it! We came during a quiet time in the week but the service was amazing however there wasnt much options for the standard menu. Overall a lovely experience!!
We visited Plateau Bar and Grill for the third time on 27th December and had a table by the window overlooking the Canary Wharf ice-rink. Service was friendly and professional as usual. We chose the smoked salmon starter, followed by the cod main and had chestnut parfait for dessert. All were perfectly cooked and well presented. The (included) glass of house wine was very drinkable. Once again visiting Plateau was an enjoyable experience which we would recommend.
As usual, a lovely experience.
Food was spot on and the service was great. It's always nice to see the staff smiling and giving energy to the customers.
This is definitely not a place you go to for a lunch meeting- 2.30 hours later - service whilst friendly was slow and food was average. There are much better lunch venues in the wharf to hit up if you are looking a tasty lunch with nice quick lunch service.
Excellent business lunch for 5 people - food was delicious and the service was extremely efficient given we were in a rush. The restaurant was quiet but that was due to our early booking time.
Decent place - bright airy with a good view and delivers well for a business lunch.
Noce food good set menu options
Our second splendid dinner at this excellent restaurant. The staff are so attentive and friendly, the menu well crafted and not too large, the food superb — all enhanced by dramatic view over Canary Wharf and its open air ice rink. We thoroughly recommend it for a great dinner.
The welcome and service was excellent. A lovely venue overlooking the square and ice rink. Food was good, the only very tiny gripe was that the waitress asked if I wanted mayonnaise, but had to ask three times before it arrived as I finished my meal. Would still recommend this restaurant.
Plateau never fails to be anything other than excellent!
I enjoyed a relaxed Saturday brunch at the Plateau Bar -)
Always a pleasure to dine at Plateau.
Always a great place for food & dribble. Service is always on point, no complaints.
It was a bit loud for having business conversations
Always ask for a window table. The view is spectacular especially in the winter whilst the ice rink is open. The food is very good, always excellent ingredients perfectly cooked.
Food was great but service a bit slow.
Lovely restaurant with a very reasonably priced set menu. We booked this venue for the location and we required something relative quick but nice prior to attending an event at the o2. This venue didn't disappoint. We had alovely meal, wasn't rushed but everything arrived in good time and as a whole, a very nice experience.
