Slow service, got a starter portion of steak tartare despite having punctually ordered a main dish....
A birthday celebration for a friend, it was lovely and they really made her feel special. We were given a lovely table by the window, although the restaurant was not full, we were sat by a large table, which was not great considering the restaurant was not full. As we had some business matters to discuss as well.
One of D&D's diamonds. 3 course menu is great value for money for well considered menu.
Great location and view over Canada Square. Good value set Brunch menu but would be even better if you got at least 1 side included with main course.
Starter was a little tepid but very nice. It was fairly busy but nevertheless, the service seemed a little slow and not as good as on previous visits. This was especially apparent once we had finished and wished to pay.
Overall, good value and great food (particularly the steak).
While to food is fine the Bar & Grill gets really busy and noisy with work functions. It is actually hard to have a conversation as it is so noisy. The service is also slow. Good view over Canary Wharf and reasonable wine list. I don't think we will go again though.
Nice views with very attentive staff. We enjoyed lunch lunch there.
This place never fails. Food is always good and very reasonable for Canary Wharf. Great place to catch up with friends with a fab view thrown in :)
We had a table for 4 for a working lunch and choose from the set menu. It took and hour to get the starters, which were tepid at best and 45 mins more for the main, also Luke warm. Had to chase for food about 5 times and staff were fairly indifferent. Ended up not paying for the food but we were late back to work and it ruined the meal. A shame for one of CW’s better restaurants.
Food lovely. Went for the set menu and all dishes delicious.
Service very good too.
Really horrible service, essentially had to get up and call the waiters to get any attention. Service was ridiculously slow and the food wasn’t up to scratch and simply put, just bland. Great view however with a lovely ambiance, apart from that, not worth the effort getting here.
All staff here were so friendly and took care of us. They made the experience very relaxing and enjoyable. I’ve been before and always enjoyed it. Came for weekend brunch. Good menu and good value. Took my friends for a first visit and they are already planning their next. Thank you!
I will definitely be returning to this restaurant again. While there was some confusion with the set menu. When we booked it through Open Table the deal stated that for an extra £3 we can get a glass of wine. The manager apologised and stated that the wine offer was no longer available as of Monday. Nevertheless the set menu was a great value and extremely delicious. The restaurant is so beautiful and all the staff members that we interacted with were very welcoming. They brought out a special birthday treat for my boyfriend and even helped sing the happy birthday song. Thank you Plateau for making this special occasion absolutely perfect.
Very good. Have dined the day precious at the IVY in Canary Wharf. I thought plateau knocked spots off the whole experience. I’m already looking fwd to my return.
Excellent dinner at a a very nice venue. Congrats to the chef!
Was a very lovely experience. The setting was nice but I didn’t get the anniversary cake I requested which was a little annoying. Overall, it was lovely and I’d defo come again.
Mixed impressions from our visit. The Beef Bourguignone was delicious, but the steaks were overdone. The service was mediocre with staff forgetting our requests and having difficulties with spoken English. It is a bit overpriced as well.
The dinner was really nice and the food was great, also we were sat at a table at the window with a lovely view. The only issue was the waiting time between meals in a virtually nearly empty restaurant. we ordered cheese for desert and waited half an hour for it to arrive which was a bit disappointing especially it took no time to prepare. Would be back for the view though and the quality of food
We always try and get into the Plateau when we’re in Canary Wharf; as usual, we weren’t disappointed.
Great value for money. Saturday brunch menu was great. Staff very friendly too.
The restaurant was virtually empty at 1230 on a Saturday afternoon. One would expect the service to be overly attentive with such a paucity of diners, but no. We had to wait for a break in the staff’s conversation to order.
Even with the set menu, the food is over-priced for the quality and portion size.
The staff were wonderful. We had the set menu which overall was good quality and the right amount. Great location, view and ambience.
Good food, decent ambient, ok service
I went for lunch with a vegan colleague and we both had lovely food ! Excellent presentation and delicious dishes. Service was good but for some reason we weren't offered any bread (other tables were) and the chairs really need a good clean/changing..apart from that, plateau is still one of my favourite restaurants in Canary Wharf!
Very bad acoustic, def not the stunning view as promised.
My friend and I had a lovely time at Plateau. We had the 3 course set menu which came with a glass of wine. The superfood salad was fab as was my chicken. My friend had the pasta which she said was lovely too. The staff were attentive and very friendly and we had a very enjoyable evening.
Service was a little slow, but it was very busy. Apart from that it was excellent!
Overall good but I wouldn’t expect these fries from a restaurant like this. They were like macdonalds fries for £4
Good food and good value on set menu with a glass of wine at lunch
Was very good
Delicious steak tartare, sea bass cooked to perfection.
Friendly and efficient service, great wine list!
Incredibly friendly staff and quick service. Highly recommended, nice view and nice interior.
We went pretty late in the evening in the weekday, so it was not busy at all, which made the experience great! Dinner at the table and the drinks plus desert in the terrace. It was lovely!
We were in the Grill Bar not the main restaurant. We were a party of 4. It was a shame that all the window seats were for tables of 2 only so really we could have booked any restaurant. The chairs were also a little uncomfortable and we were all quite pleased to get up at the end of the meal.
We ordered a bottle of sparkling water and a jug of still water but were brought bottles of both which seemed a little naughty.
Someone ordered veal for the main course but weren’t told that you needed to order sides. So they literally just had a plate of meat. I ordered tagliatelle and although it was really nice it has to be the smallest bowl of pasta I have ever seen. I have had larger starter portions. Very poor value.
We only ordered one dessert. A baked cheesecake. This is typically a very deep filled cheesecake but it was the same depth as one you would buy as a standard variety in a supermarket. I little disappointing.
Would I go back. Yes. I’ve pointed out the bits that could be better but overall we did have a really nice meal.
2 course lunchtime menu was very good value - I had the beetroot and goats cheese salad and grilled chicken, both of which were delicious. The view from the restaurant is very nice!
The staff were extremely professional, attentive and friendly, and really welcoming. The venue is lovely, a great view and the decor is very tasteful. It’s a shame the food was very average, and it did not add up to the ambience or price range. It was bland, except the fish cake which full of salt. I would go again for a drink but not for dinner.
Food was not hot, had to wait a while for the food. Then told one of the items we ordered was no longer available
Beautiful restaurant. Cuisine was not my favourite but that may be my personal taste
Very average food
1. Nice place.
2. Slow service
3. Food inconsistently cooked. Ordered medium rare angus steak, what they gave me was some medium well, some medium rare.
