A lot of waiting on the servers from start to finish, unfortunately. So after pondering and waiting a long time we decided to not have desserts. Though they were all well-mannered and prompt when we requested more gravy and the bill.
The food was ok, we had the Weekend Brunch (roast beef), was ok (cooked as per requested - medium rare) but wouldn’t say best Sunday roast we’ve had. Ordered a cocktail (Blue Velvet) foam had already disintegrated by time it reached our table, the amount of lemon in the cocktail masked all other flavours I had hoped to taste.
Great food, great service, and beautiful place. Thank you.
Lovely food as always here!
Excellent food with a great atmosphere. Brilliant restaurant.
Fabulous lunch at Plum and Spilt Milk...we loved it!
Nice place very professional staff and lovely ambiance. A hidden gem
W had a very good time at Plum and Split milk. Food was lovely and creative, our waiter was very nice and efficient. Overall, a great place to visit, and very accessible to both St Pancras and King Cross's train stations.
A very special meal for a very special occasion. Would highly recommend, this is the second time we have been and will definitely be going again.
The Sunday Lunch was excellent from starter to desert!! Very tasty food and service was great - my wine glass was never empty!
Lovely food. Nice decour. Friendly enough service but not clear who the main waiting staff for the table was. Lacking wine advice. No apparent sommelier. Was difficult to get attention for wine menu.
Overall quite lovely. Food quality reasonable but you’d expect so for the price.
The food, wine and service were excellent.
The only one complaint was that we weren’t aware that the a la carte doesn’t start until 4 pm on a Saturday. However the situation was recovered well as they did arrange for us to order from the a la carte. Not sure why they have that ruling. Apart from that small blip it was fantastic.
One of the best restaurants I have been in for a while, the food and service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a romantic meal
I was encouraged to try Plum and Spilt Milk and I am glad I did! The room is very inviting, with tables spaced appropriately. The meal itself was very good with interesting combinations of flavors. The service is top notch — everyone was very accommodating and friendly. Will be back.
The service was perfect! Attentive without being too much. Didn’t ask how the food was when we all had mouthfuls of food! Always a sign of good service. Great atmosphere. The food was faultless! Absolutely delicious and made my mum feel very special knowing it was for her birthday!
Had brunch with some friends and our baby. Food was very good, staff were very helpful and accommodating. They gave us a table in the corner with space for the pram which enabled the baby to nap for over two hours so her parents could get some much needed adult conversation. Drinks including cocktails were very tasty.
We stayed for over 3 hours and the staff were fine with this and just periodically checked on us.
Will definitely be returning here in the future.
Really enjoyed every part of our meal, including the wonderful ambiance of the restaurant. Crispy duck salad with spiced blood orange and turnip, carrot and parsnip slaw was a fragrant, light, delicious treat that left us wanting more. My main was roast loin of venison, perfectly cooked, pink and yielding in the middle, on a bed of creamy truffled celeriac peppered with picked mushrooms to cut through the roundness of the flavours. Dessert was a winner, a firm but creamy block of iced peanut and salted caramel mousse that ended an indulgent yet not at all heavy meal. Would definitely recommend.
Beautifully designed restaurant, fabulous food and wine, great service. A bit pricey (£60 per head all in), so a special occasion place. Great location next too the momentus St Pancras. Almost impossible to find though with tiny signs.
Wonderful meal. Fantastic service and food. Great experience for Sunday Roast!
My absolute favourite restaurant in London. I've been there a few times now with my boyfriend and have always been blown away by the quality of the food and the service. It's pricey, so not an everyday option for me (unfortunately!), but Plum & Spilt Milk is always our first option for special occasions. This time, for instance, was my boyfriend's birthday. As if the food and the service weren't already good enough, we were surprised by a lovely treat from the house: a beautifully decorated plate with chocolate truffles and a little candle for his birthday. I say "we" because I don't remember mentioning it was his birthday when I made the reservation, so I was just as surprised as him! We had an amazing evening and I can't wait to be back. Absolutely love this place.
Fab from start to finish!
Went to Plum + Spilt Milk for Sunday roast. Was a bit hard to find the entrance (go into the bar and up the stairs) but it has a lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing. Location was perfect for me as well, just across from St. Pancras to get on my train back home. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in London.
Excellent experience. Great food, great service - made my mother's birthday very special.
Took mum for a birthday dinner and she loved it. Great service, staff were engaging and helpful and food lived up to expectations- I have been here a number of times and it’s not let me down yet. Thanks very much.
Belated Valentines night. Food was ok but steak with creamed spinach and peppercorn sauce not the best mix. Service and ambience very good as usual. Served a cognac in a small port glass but disappointing but overall I do like place for special occasions.
Beautiful restaurant just outside Kings Cross Station, staff are professional and very polite. We went for Saturday brunch all our food was delicious. We had a little issue with one of the meals but the staff dealt with it immediately and there was no reason for us to complain. I would highly recommend this restaurant, fabulous place .
Lovely decor and building. Really nice feeling in there. Champagne brunch for two is great value and the food was delicious!
Lovely setting, good food and a relaxed vibe. Only thing that let it down is the serving staff - who could do with a better knowledge of the menu!
We visited for my daughter's birthday and gad a lovely evening. The service was excellent and the food great apart from the vegetarian onion tart which we felt was disappointing. But overall a lovely evening was had by all
Very friendly, polished and attentive waiting staff. We had the bass and gnocchi for our mains, with sides and the iced peanut and salted caramel mousse, for dessert. Great food, lovely table and good service.
Good rendezvous for business lunch. A bit pricey but service and food are very good.
The service is unbelievably slow, but the food is good
A lovely restaurant in a very convenient location in London. The staff were friendly and welcoming as well as professional. It's beautiful establishment and we were lucky enough to book a last minute table. My friend and I had a lovely lunch.
Amazing decor, fantastic overall experience and would recommend this restaurant to people who enjoy good food and wine, excellent service and relax ambience
The decor and overall hotel entrance design look great. Service was very good and prompt. Food was very good, went for brunch and was very happy with a combination of both classic breakfast options, but also more interesting/unusual small plates. Coffee was also good.
Wonderful birthday dinner. Excellent food, service and ambience
An excellent dinner in attractive surroundings; full marks to the staff and the chef. The food was consistently tasty, and the beef wellington was perfect.
A great setting, with stylish decor, tasty grub and well crafted cocktails.
The waiting staff were extremely attentive, giving knowledgeable recommendations of cocktails and keeping the drinks topped up.
Would most definitely recommend, and would go back for dinner.
The restaurant was good quality - but with a price to match.
Quiet and interesting dining room.
Service not really in keeping with a venue of this standard - spilling water - bringing main course whilst starter dishes still on the table. No check to see if all was well.
Then all staff disappearing for a 'briefing' when time to leave - had to seek out a staff member - then go to the bar to pay. The restauant was not full by any means.
Little things admittedly - but sloppy.
This is an excellent restaurant with good food and good service
