Such creativity and sumptuous combinations of flavours. Finely balanced dishes that delight and entertain and delicious extras between courses. 5 star service.
A great meal and great service.
Great ambience and the food and presentation amazing.
My first proper meal out since before lockdown and what a treat! Wonderful to see Pollen Street open again and so much thought and care has gone into this reopening. Jason Atherton was busy cooking at the chef’s table and all the staff were welcoming, friendly and professional. The new 4 course menu concept was superb in every way and the addition of canapés and other treats between courses were delicious and creative. Noteworthy dishes were the John Dory fish course and both the desserts we tried - a hazelnut financier and a zingy lemon dessert.
Great place for a special dinner. The food was beautiful and delicious, and the service was excellent.
A fantastic experience. The COVID restrictions meant that the restaurant tables were spaced in a way far better than usual. We had people on either side but didn’t feel at all bothered by them, the new spacing distances meant I couldn’t even hear their conversations. The food was absolutely fantastic. The menu is varied and the small extras that they bring were just lovely. The food was cooked to perfection and the service exemplary. If ate the Brill with courgette flower and the Soufflé for dessert, both were sublime. The whole experience from entering the restaurant to leaving was first class.
Very fancy and calm great service especially when you’re picky and don’t eat much food and the ice cream selection box was very satisfying - F aged 11 1/4
The new table arrangement works well and has not affected the ambience. Much of the credit of course goes to the welcoming staff and the food, excellent as usual.
Wonderful from start to finish!
A real treat to spend an evening meal at Pollen Street Social.
Superb food delivered with excellent service under the current challenging conditions. Very happy with everything.
No problem that choice was limited to 4 course or 8 course set menus but at close to £100 for even the 4 courses it would have been nice to be told ahead of booking. However, our main complaint is the 4.5 hours it took to serve those 4 courses, including over 30 mins for dessert to come. The food to time ratio was ridiculous, service was not at a level to be expected for a restaurant of any quality, far less one pitching for the top end of the market. There were lots of staff drying glasses at the bar but we had to ask repeatedly about the possibility of food arriving. We are no strangers to Michelin starred restaurants but the portion size was bordering on farcical: we certainly didn't expect to leave feeling still vaguely hungry. Despite all that, what was served was delicious.
Visited on reopening day following lockdown, having been several times in the past. New menu is excellent and we really liked the change in the a La carte menu to a fixed price 4 course menu. The brill, the duck and the pork were particularly good, whilst the strawberries and cream dessert was divine. My only criticism is the wearing of masks by the staff - it's the first restaurant we have visited where staff wore masks and it was difficult and sometimes impossible to understand what they were saying.
Booked a lunch on the first day open after coronavirus lockdown. We both had the tasting menu and the food was all wonderful. Every course was absolutely delicious and interesting - all that I would expect from a tasting menu. The tables were well spaced and I actually found the dining experience better then being elbow to elbow with other diners. Highly recommend.
Absolutely outstanding. Jason and team were fantastic and the new menu is superb! Highly, highly recommended.
great value for money
Utterly joyful dining experience hidden in the heart of London’s West End. Treated us like royalty, were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Delicious food.
I was on a short trip to London from France for my birthday and Pollen Street Social was recommended by a friend. It was a really great experience and one I am hoping to repeat in the near future. No negative feedback at all, everything was excellent.
The food is to die for, not only tasty but also beautifully presented! Very creative, lots of flavour and really reasonable in price considering Jason Atherton has one star Michelin! Not to be missed!
Wonderful dining experience; especially enjoyed the clever take on afternoon tea for the appetisers.
Staff were very friendly and attentive; couldn't fault anything.
This is the 4th time I have been, this time with my daughter. It is my favorite place.
The food is so delicious and I had suckling pig (again).
Fantastic meal and service.
Great to see the restaurant busy in light of current situation. Wonderful atmosphere.
What an evening! This was certainly the best dinner I have experienced in a long time, nothing was too much trouble and the food was just out of this world. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and looked after, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
Amazing food and amazing service. Genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had and I’ve been to many high end restaurants across the world. The lunch menu is also great value. Would recommend the chicken for main.
Very enjoyable food and good cocktails and wine. I had the crab starter, lamb main and hazelnut financier desert all very good. My wife enjoyed the cod main and the kids enjoyed the chicken main a lot also although perhaps not quite as tasty as the other two mains while still very good. I loved my desert and preferred it to the chocolate ganache taken by the rest of the table.
Canapés, amuse Bouche and petit fours good to excellent.
All very enjoyable.
Total cost of 265 pounds including service and drinks probably par for the course in London for a Michelin starred lunch for 4. I would quite strongly recommend and place it somewhere between a 4 and 5 star out of five experience.
