Pollen Street Social
Wonderful staff, amazing food couldn’t ask for better
Fantastic food, fantastic service Do i need to say more!
Excellent meal in beautiful surroundings served by very helpful and professional staff.
Outstanding Lunch Menu with quality cooking throughout - the advised white and red wines provided, a little disappointing bearing in mind the excellent Wine List and detracted from the food somewhat.
My first visit in about a year. The food was good and the service exceptionally good but the portion was very small and my god it was really expensive (three course dinner for 120 pounds without alcohol). Overall you can find restaurants of better value elsewhere with food equally good.
Great place for business meeting, good food - highly recommend.
Great lunch, the food was delicious, lots of nice touches. The birthday cake surprise was amazing! Loved the cheese and tea trolley!
Had the vegan and vegetarian tasting menus - both were absolutely outstanding. Only two minor suggestions to improve: (1) it would be good to add a wine that is a bit less expensive so people who are there for the rare treat can make a bit more of a night of it - min glass of red was £15; (2) Service was a little slow (start to finish we were there for about 3 hours). Other than that it was excellent.
This was a great meal. The amuse-bouche was a great taste of what was to come. I had the crab starters which was lovely. I thought it was small but the dinner was the opposite! My friend had asparagus and I have never tasted asparagus so well cooked. We shared the bouef which was lovely and the carrots tasted like none I've had before. Everything we ate left a taste explosion It was well worth the visit and a great treat.
Outstanding food, wine, service and ambience. Creative, delicious and beautiful food using ethically and nationally sourced produce. Chefs were also happy to stop and chat. Will definitely return.
Overall my friend and I had an excellent experience. We did think the hand towels seemed a bit out of place - the last time I was given one was on a premium economy BA flight. We both had the lamb which was delivcious but the portions were tiny... I thought the decor, the staff and the ambiance were great and nice touch opening the door when we came and left. Will be back!
Delicious food from the first mouthful to the last. Interesting menu. Great ambiance and also lovely to drink out of fine glasses with a god sommelier offering advice.
Food very good but entree tiny(pig)
Wine poor was absurdly small. I complained (which I never do) And they admitted they under pored and gave me a slight top up
Plenty of excellent dessert
Service nice but somewhat disorganized
Amazing subtle and delicately crafted food. Outstanding service by David. We will be back soon.
Great food without being over the top fancy. Nice location and fantastic value for lunch!
The finest lunch in London every time. Every guest I’ve ever taken has been blown away by the experience the team at Pollen Street create. Apparently this was my 19th visit, it won’t be the last!!
Very attentive service and the food is exceptional. Highly recommend.
Just one of our best restaurant experience - lunch menu is an incredible value.
Amazing service and incredible food, thank you Pollen St!
My wife an I visited Pollen Street Social for our Anniversary dinner; we are visiting London from San Diego, and wanted to enjoy a fine dining experience. There are a selection of Vegan options in London, and we picked Pollen Street Social. We have had the opportunity to experience a few vegan fine dining experience in a few places around the world, and Pollen Street Social did not disappoint. We enjoyed the Vegan tasting menu, a nine course extravaganza of flavor and wine pairing that took us from our reservation time of 6:30pm through to around 10:30pm. Each course was beautifully prepared, and in many cases represented flavours and foods that were delightful and unexpected. There were several courses, that had they been on an a la carte menu, I would not have ordered; but they came, and I ate, and they were some of the most enjoyable food I have ever experienced. Pea sorbet was one such example; a cold dish that does not sound appealing to the untrained eye, which would represent me for sure. Yet it arrived, and from the first bite, I was thrilled by the delightful flavors and textures that amused my mouth! The wine pairings throughout were wonderful, and the sommelier gave us a wonderful exposition on each wine, and I came away with some great new knowledge and some wine styles that I am looking into.
Overall, the experience was quite wonderful, the food was exquisite, and I would definitely recommend this experience to others. As a Michelin star experience, it was not inexpensive option, which was to be expected. Having said that, I felt that it represented great value, and will be an experience that will live with us for our entire lifetime.
There was a constant flow of delightful surprises from the welcoming staff throughout the visit, right from the point where we were just a bit too early for our reservation, to the never-ending flow of desserts that just made the experience even more memorable.
The food was pleasing and creative, and the natural flavors of the ingredients shined brightly. Constant attention to our table from various staff was much appreciated.
If you're offered a chance to sit at the dessert bar, please do so. Seeing the team conjuring up various desserts with high levels of attention and care just gave us even more confidence of their quality. The interaction with the crew was also top-tier here.
At the end, we tried at least 4 desserts, if not more. They were all amazingly delightful and not overwhelmed with sweetness. By the time we left, we found we were in Pollen for nearly 4 hours. Time passed so quickly when you're being entertained by a top-class crew, food and dessert. The wine recommendations were top-notch too.
Amazing restaurant that really gave value for money. Wonderful service, fantastic food, excellent wine pairing and a special gift for my birthday celebration. Definately one of the best, not only in London!
£43 for about 100g of John Dory, probably justified by the amuse bouche and the petits fours, is not my style of dining.
Fish is fish. A grill is a grill. Sauces and decorations are only the wrapper for what’s inside. Waited for the bread that arrived half way through the main. Had to chase for pepper few times. Only the bill came promptly.
Such an enjoyable experience.
The restaurant is well designed for the staff to serve their guests efficiently & is stylishly decorated.
The staff are friendly, experienced & the sommelier who served us was very knowledgeable, as was to be expected.
We chose the Tasting Menu with the Wine pairing - EXCEPTIONAL in every way.
P.S. The Toilets are also very stylish & regularly maintained.
Had an excellent set lunch at PSS yesterday.
With the exception of my wife’s Lemon Sole, which was a bit bland, every other dish, snack, pre-dessert and petit four was first rate, beautifully presented and professionally served.
‘Washed down’ by a lovely Italian Rosé, it was good value for around £55 a head.
Absolutely amazing food! My friend and I went for lunch. We took the set menu with accompanying wine, it was superb. Many little appetisers and petit-fours are added, which make the whole experience very pleasurable. Can only highly recommend this restaurant.
Outstanding in every way; the quality of the food, the amazing amuse bouches, the impeccable service and exceptional value.
High on my list of one of my favorite Michelin Star restaurants in London, my wife and I love everything about it.
This had to be the longest lunch ever and not through choice. The service was extremely slow and we weren’t impressed when the waiter wouldn’t give us the wine menu and preferred to suggest alternatives. Also think £24 with service added isn’t acceptable for a 175ml glass of average wine.
They’re a bit slow to start and the staff were overworked but service is super friendly. The food here is clever and flavors so complex yet balanced. Our 2nd visit coming in from Australia. Recommended
Having been here previously a couple of times, I was looking forward to a nice date night with my wife. However, the food took a very long time to arrive (due to a kitchen incident) and was average - tiny portions, nothing special on the taste front and very expensive. I was disappointed as this was a previous favourite of mine, and I probably won’t return.
Amazing food and service. Highly recommended.
We had a superb anniversary meal with amazing food and great service. I would recommend this restaurant very highly.
The food was great, but service not at the level at all, which you expect from a Michelin-restaurant. Think we had 12 different waiters at our table during the night, and only a few of the really understood what they were doing. Really noisy room too.
Another great lunch at Pollen Street; great welcome, service ( though rather slow on this occasion) and wonderful food on the set lunch menu. Our only reservations this time are the increasingly top-end wine list....it’s become impossible to find a reasonably priced bottle , and wines by the glass are also too expensive. Enjoyed the half bottles suggested with lunch at £18, but some of the wine prices are becoming a little over the top. Food remains fabulous.
My lunch experience at pollen street social has been fantastic.
The food was fabolous and flavoured , the service very attentive and the ambiance cool and comfortable .
Overall a very good experience
Amazing food and service. Perfect for a special occassion or even just a catch up with friends over a drink as the cocktails were delicious!
Our lunch was superb in every way. The food is certainly very special indeed, with sublime flavours in fascinating combinations that left us wanting more with each delicious mouthful. Each dish also looked amazing, without distracting away from the essential taste and flavour of so many really innovative combinations. All of the staff attending to us were exemplary, without any of the fawning that so often seems to accompany fine dining. We were made to feel extremely comfortable in a wonderfully calm and stylish room that had us leaving some three and half hours after we had arrived. It surely must have been a very good lunch indeed, so many thanks to all involved. We look forward to our next visit.
The meal was excellent, as usual. We had the tasting menu that allows you to experience how amazing the cooking is.
Overall the restaurant met my expectations. However I felt for a restaurant of this standard and reputation that the menu was quite “safe” and did not have any stand out flavours. The service was generally good but a little unnecessarily snooty at times. For the price, you can do better and so it would not be a place I would rush back to try again.
