What a stunner!!
If you are ever in London, and would love to try a fine dining experience, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.
The service was absolutely flawless from start to finish, the food was just perfection.
We paid for the chefs experience, sat at the chefs counter watching them cook for you whilst getting the chance to ask them questions and chat to Jason and his team all night, What a pleasure!
Would recommend pollen street social to anyone and everyone!
Our visits have been infrequent since covid hit us and we wondered what standards would be like on our return. We should not have been concerned, the food was as tasty and inventive as ever the service superb and the ambiance restful. All your protection measures for COVID were well thought out and well carried out by your ever attentive staff
Absolutely excellent!! This should have 3 Michelin stars...best dinner all year.
A wonderful experience. Dining at PSS was a truly memorable evening. The menu was innovative and exciting but without the silly ingredient combinations you sometimes get at top end restaurants.
Every course we ordered was superb and the amuse bouche and pre desserts were an added bonus. The tables were well spaced, the noise levels low and the staff were utterly professional but with a good sense of humour, much needed these days.
We loved everything and to round off the occasion, Jason Atherton who’d been busy at the pass all evening came to our table for an informal chat.
Simply superb what more needs to be said..... if there is a single word that could sum it up its balance pure balance.
A enjoy to dine either lunch or dinner if only everybody else were the same.
Go out and support Pollen Street Kitchen!
I found the restaurant to be incredibly over priced and not worth the money spent. I have eaten in similar restaurants in the past and am happy to spend those prices but expect the meal to be exceptional, which it just was not.
Very good from start to finish
Very good food and service
If I had a complaint it was that the set menu was slightly limited for our taste
We are definitely looking forward to return
Lovely food, good service. Would definitely recommend.
A really buzzy experience, food is absolutely unreal. If they don’t get 2 stars this year I’ll never buy another Michelin tyre!!!!!
Great staff, food and atmosphere. Unpretentious and friendly.
The dining experience at Pollen Street is amazing from start to finish. The service is excellent, food and wine delicious - would highly recommend.
The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable - the mask they have to wear does hinder you being able to hear them clearly sometimes, however the food makes up it.
Outstanding experience from food to service to ambience. Every thing we ate was incredible. Would highly recommend and come again. Thank you
Absolutely incredible food - we had the tasting menu and every dish was better than the one before! Highly recommend
Lovely dinner in relaxing socially-distanced surroundings!
as usual, the food and service were exceptional. i've always had a great experience here.
Fantastic as always !
The only constructive comment I would make is that we were seated in a slight alcove (three tables of two people) The seats facing the wall are not good as you cannot see or enjoy the main body restaurant. There is a mirror but it doesn't hang low enough to get a view!!! If this could be corrected it would make for a better experience.
We had the most fabulous birthday celebration, the staff treated my husband like a king! we truly enjoyed the whole experience! On arrival we were greeted by the Main man himself which was a lovely touch.,,... am already planing our next visit!!! Would recommend for a great night of very fine dining and exceptional service! THANKS TEAM!!
Excellent as ever, my favourite place to eat in London.
Chef came and had a chat, which made the experience even more enjoyable
Excellent service, food , wine. Lunchtime set menu was top quality and the little extras were delicious. Been a few times now, never disappoints. Looking forward to next occasion, maybe tasting menu with pairing wines.
Fabulous meal. Good value. With e tea small courses in between. They gave my daughter a birthday card & cake. I met Jason Atherton in the bar, he was working there that day and that made my day. Great day out & thrilled I finally got there.
Absolutely outstanding. Four course A la carte. Chicken and duck liver pie to share as our main. As good as it gets. Bravo Pollen Street. We will be back soo.
Everything about Pollen Street was first class from the hand written anniversary card to the superb cheese board. The food was exceptional and service relaxed and efficient.
Great atmosphere. Attentive staff. Amazing food. Would highly recommend.
Once again, an absolutely outstanding meal. Genius flavour combinations...planning next visit!
Really good experience. Very well managed but it was possible to forget that Covid was still going on
Very relaxed but very clean and all the appropriate measures in place.
Excellent service & staff very knowledgeable about the food & wine with helpful recommendations. A memorable dining experience.
Excellent lunch, have previously opted for the good value set menu but went a la carte and it exceeded expectations. The Quail starter and Chicken (for two) main were excellent. Good choice of wines by the glass, but I think the cocktail menu could be expanded. Service was perfect, the amuse bouche really worthwhile, petit fours no so much. Looking forward to returning.
On your arrival you are made to feel very welcome. With a relaxed atmosphere and knowledgeable staff, and of course excellent food, the whole evening was faultless. It must not be underestimated when such hard work is put into creating a wonderful experience.
Well done everyone at The Pollen Street Social.
I have been to Pollen Street Social many times and have always loved it. However, this visit was very disappointing as the food for the 3 of us was average at best for every dish we ordered. I hope this was just an off day (Jason Atherton was at the restaurant as well) and will definitely give it another try but this visit was a big let down.
Good but expensive
Service was excellent, friendly and bit jokey but always correct and professional. Lovely setting; smart yet cozy. Food - as in our case, the 9 course tasting menu - was a lot more up and down, unfortunately, and the starters here were basically in amuse bouche sizes. Bit weird when the bread comes in 3 times the chunk size. Crab tidbit was excellent, melt in your mouth. Turbot a too salty and rather uninstresting blandish dish where the refinement of the classy fish didn't come through at all. The sea bass was better, but still under par. My partner's lamb was a disappointment. The first dessert course, a rice sorbet sort of - bland and uninspired (sometimes "original" on its own just isn't enough). However, what blew us away was the chocolate dessert. Suddenly the Michelin notes started playing in this marvel of technique and subtle chocolate flavours artwork. The wine pairing (we took the fine version, and ordered a shared one, and with the small helpings of each wine we had no reason to believe during the meal that we actually were given - and paying for 2x the wine flight). It ended being the most expensive Michelin level meal we've ever had (and we've had a few). We don't mind paying extra for the artistry and the sheer joy that a Michelin level meal can be. But when the food just doesn't reach that level other than now and then, and the wine flight is horrendously overpriced, you leave with a sense of being if not ripped off, so sour enough to write this kind of review...
Great venue for a special occasion. JA was q great host.
Sublime. A reminder that Michelin star is a class apart, but with lovely, accessible service in airy, comfortable, stylish surroundings.
My partner and I have wanted to dine at Pollen St Social for some time, so I decided to book a table as part of her surprise birthday weekend.
We were made to feel extremely welcome. Staff were really polite, friendly and knowledgable. The restaurant interior is wonderfully designed - clean, fresh and modern. The restaurant was full and had an amazing vibe.
We selected the 9 course tasting menu and were not disappointed. Course after course of the most delicious food which was perfectly presented. Our favourite dish without any hesitation was the ‘fish and chip’ snack on the ‘afternoon tea’ course. This dish was simply sensational. Another standout dish was the lamb which was perfectly cooked and full of flavour.
The dining was relaxed and unhurried. We’ve eaten in a number of michelin starred restaurants in the past and have sometimes felt rushed and kept to a specific time slot. This was not the case at Pollen Street Social.
At the end of the meal, Jason Atherton joined us at our table and presented my partner with a birthday cake to take home. The cake was delicious. We thought this was a really nice touch and made our day because he had taken time out of what must have been a really busy service to make us feel special.
A big thank you to Jason and his team for a wonderful experience. Pollen Street Social is a must visit if you’d like a gastronomic delight.
We dined at the Chefs table experience and had the pleasure of watching Jason Atherton and his team work right in front of us. To be able to see how he and his team work was great to experience and it’s no surprise he’s one of the best and has 3 Michelin star restaurants. He spoke us through each of the courses which were all amazing. All the cocktails we had were very nice as well. We will definitely be back!
Delicious food, gorgeous restaurant, and the staff are very attentive. Just enjoy the whole experience.
Probably my favourite London restaurant. Fabulous menu, attentive knowledgeable staff, beautiful environment, and Jason atherton is a jolly nice man too. Operating at 50% capacity to maintain social distancing in a very quiet part of London which is usually rammed. So make the most of it.
Just to enjoy a fabulous meal and it certainly didn’t fail - every mouthful was amazing - staff were fantastic - no rush - the value is exceptional - highly recommend pollen street social
