An amazing meal with excellent service, the attention to detail was second to none.
Amazing experience and atmosphere, food is just about art. Best restaurant.
Great food, fantastic service, food and wine. Really looked after us and catered for all of our various allergies incredibly well. The herb tae trolley was unique and very enjoyable. Table in the bar area was nice and made chatting very easy as noise level was fine.
Lunch menu for £37 for 3 courses was exceptional alive for the quality of the service and food
Couldn’t fault the experience in any way. The service from the moment we walked in the door was excellent and the food was exceptional as was the paired wine. We have been to a number of tasting menus throughout the world and this is up there with the best we’ve had. We will be back.
This was my second visit to Pollen street social. The first time I had the tasting menu and this time we went for the a la carte for Valentine's day. As always the service was great. You feel so looked after but it doesn't feel 'stuffy' like some high end restaurants are. The staff are personable while still being professional and you feel like you can have a chat and connect with them still. As always the food was perfect. We shared the steak which came with the most incredible ox cheek mac 'n' cheese and even the roasted carrots were the best i've ever had. I'll be coming back here again and again - though the price point does mean it'll only be for special occasions. I'm ok with that!
Fantastic food and service, friendly but professional. You get the feeling they are able to give you any dining experience you want. Would highly recommend.... in fact already rebooked for next month
Food was incredible as to be expected.
We were sat at a table just by the bar which was extremely noisy with people waiting prior to being seated, also extremely hard to have a conversation due to the noise and a bit uncomfortable.
We had 2 x waiters serving our table the guy was excellent and very knowledgeable regarding the menu etc. the girl let the side down as she spilled the mushroom tea everywhere due to not concentrating on what she was doing, she also dropped the champagne granita on the free canapés.
She then had trouble pouring the cream for the Eton Mess to which her colleague had to come and help her out, not what I’d expect from a 1 star venue. On leaving the lady had trouble locating our coats, no one had asked us how our evening was nor did they say thank you for coming etc, left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth. Shame as we flew from Australia and were looking forward to the experience here. Food excellent. Service so so.
extremely loud dining room
Wonderful food as always. Catered easily for gluten free diet. Best gluten free bread in London. Left feeling that we had a great meal. Thought snails were slightly superfluous in mashed potato but otherwise fab. Shared pistachio soufflé which was a good move - way too much for one. We keep coming back to Pollen Street Social
We had the three course lunch with sommelier selected wines which was just incredible. Amazing food, beautifully matched wines and superb service. Highly highly recommended
Booked for a pre-birthday celebration - would highly recommend,
The set lunch menu had enough choice for us, and a great mixture of courses - both my partner and I really enjoyed all.
To top it off, we had our dessert while over seeing the pastry chefs at work - another real treat! Our dishes were prepared and explained to us by the pastry chef - along with an extra soufflé as a surprise. It didn’t end there, with further treats for us to try while we sat a watch in the comfort of the restaurant. Just before we left, another treat of a birthday cake was presented to us - it’s these small touches that make the difference
Outstanding lunch experience. Fabulous menu, great service and really comfortable environment. Comfortable chairs, enough space between tables and not too noisy. Loved the attention our GF guest received. Enjoyed the gimmicky mushroom tea and wonderful petit fours- too much but we just had to have them! Will definitely come back to Pollen St.
We had a lovely dinner with superb food, the little extras are fun and add to the experience. Every element of the dishes is delicious and the attention to detail really shows in presentation and taste.
The service at the bar was quite slow and the choice of wines by the glass seemed limited.
It was very noisy, it's a large space with nothing to break up the noise and we found it difficult to hear each other at times.
Upmarket but unstuffy. A wonderful venue in central London offering innovative food flavours and presentation. Attentive service without being intrusive, and very easy atmosphere inside. A great treat for the night we went, and look forward to visiting again.
It was lovely last day in London !
Awful service wrote in to complain and received no response.
No apology from waiters.
Trendy restaurant. Pork was nice. Would want to try the tasting menu next time.
Would have enjoyed a perfect meal had the light level been a little higher and the noise lower.
Hard surfaces reflect and reverberate the noise.
That apart will certainly come back.
Been here for both tasting menu and lunch and on both occasions food was excellent, served by very knowledgeable, efficient, polite staff in a well presented restaurant full of atmosphere.
Special mention to Andy who entertained us at the desert viewing bar, a real treat.
Service was sporadic. Much better last time.
Fantastic food in a very relaxed setting
This is our second visit and we were even more impressed this time with the food; we had the lunch menu which was absolutely amazing value for money. We were made to feel really welcome and the entire experience felt relaxed, looking forward to my third visit!
Service is great and thoughtful. Food is delicious.
A wonderful birthday treat. Food was excellent and service also very good. Particularly enjoyed the option as part of the vegan tasting menu was to sit at the kitchen bar and engage with the chefs whilst they made our desserts. This also included a fun game of naming the flavour of the sorbets.
Great date. Great view
Fantastic in every way. Bright and airy with superb food and service, meticulously prepared with skill and love. The mint tea trolley was divine! Quite the prettiest thing.
We had lunch at the pollen street restaurant and opted for the set menu with the sommelier's choice of wine . we both thought the the meal was a lovely experience and for a Michelin stared restaurant £55 was very good value. Nice buzy atmosphere and good service ...i will return
I was really looking forward to my lunch at PSS, as the restaurant is beautiful and has a nice vibe, but I left frustrated and disappointed. The food was nice, but the service was not Michelin star quality, it was disorganized which created lots of delays, and quick and cold interactions. Also, my main cod dish was served raw in the middle and the time it took to get it back plus the earlier delays meant that I couldn’t complete my set menu cause I had to leave. No concessions were made and my server didn’t seem to care. In fact she was quite rude when she told me “it was done correctly, but maybe you just don’t like it cooked that way. I’ll have it done well done for you”. Okkkk...not rushing back to PSS.
A fantastic meal and day out!
would just like to thank the young waiter (did not catch his name but was wearing a blue tie and glasses) that served myself and my fiancè on Wednesday. Straight away he brought up my dairy intolerance and assured me he would converse with the chefs to make sure I got the same standard of food and I was not disappointed it was all amazing! He knew what he was talking about and always double checked with the chefs which reassured me, throughout our meal myself and my fiancè kept saying how great he was and we would like to thank him for making the experience better as at the end he asked if we wanted to have a look at the kitchen which my partner was so happy about as he could ask the chefs how they made that mushroom tea! the waiter is a credit to the restaurant! please pass this on to him
I'm sure we will be back in the future!
Great, imaginative food cooked to very high standard. Portions not large but paucity is offset by three lots of "extras" between and after courses. Problems with bread not arriving which annoyed a few people. Exceptional wine and drinks list . . . at exceptional prices! Set lunch at £37 is delicious but with wine and a few extras the bill will rocket to £150-200 for two. A la carte would be much more.
Really disappointing, poor service and underwhelming food.
Excellent food as usual
Outstanding birthday experience in PSS. Will back to there again, especially thank you for the staff and chef for a lovely bday dining experience. Will definitely come back again.
Outstanding as usual! Welcome myself, wife and 1 year old son (whose birthday they remembered!) warmly and provided a brilliant and discreet service throughout. Wonderful food and maintains its spot as our favourite London-restaurant. Thank you again team Atherton!
Went as a treat for mine and my wife’s birthday’s had a lovely meal. Birthday card at the table and surprise extra desert course really topped it off. Though we had to take the extras home as we’d already filled up on the pistachio soufflé which was amazing!
Very nice food and ambience. Service was also top notch! 👍
Fabulous service and delicious food in a great environment. The small touches make it an even greater experience. All team members where attentive and happy which made for a perfect birthday treat. We chose the tasting menu which we tweaked for one dish without a flutter. We had our dessert courses at the dessert bar which was unexpected but a further delight. Thank you to the whole team. Can’t wait to go again.
Service a bit slack on arrival and first ten minutes trying to get water and wine. Lots of young waiters nattering to each other and not taking notice. Then it picked up.
Our second visit here for their set lunch. Lovely spacious restaurant beautifully decorated. The set lunch at £37 for 3 courses (although the amuse bouche afternoon tea dish is like a 4th course) is outstanding value. Everything beautifully produced, very well cooked with well balanced flavours. (The crab salad starter is outstanding) There are plenty of staff too - all friendly and attentive and making a relaxed atmosphere. The cheese was a delight - an entirely British selection served by a highly knowledgeable waiter. We will go regularly from now on.
