We came for our anniversary and the food was delicious. Service was great. The noise level was way too loud. We couldn't hear ourselves speak because there was a large group of women at a table that was so loud.

Hostess was great, very accommodating. Although the food took a little while, the waitress came over several times to check on us. When the food came, well, I knew why it took a while. It was fresh, hot and d-e-l-i-cious! If you have a show at The Gateway, get to Porters by 6pm (with a resi), you will have plenty of time to enjoy. Oh, the main courses are large enough that you don't need any appy's.

It was ok until We Ordered Desert And Hot Coffee And When We Asked For A Refill The Waitress Stated that There were No Refills . If You Wanted A hot Coffee Refill You Would Have To Pay .

This is a pretty restaurant conveniently located near The Gateway Playhouse. We had reservations for an early dinner following a matinee. To start, we waited far too long for our drink orders and bread basket. My husband ordered a salad with medium rare fillet mignon, a $17 add on. I ordered a steak sandwich. Another long wait for our order. My husbands steak came out very well done and my sandwich was tough and unmanageable as a “handheld” and fries were cold. Waitress checked in on us and we mentioned our dissatisfaction. She did offer other entrees, but we’d already been there over an hour, so we declined. She did apologize saying “everyone came in at once”. I have no issue with the waitress, but would suggest that is NOT the thing to say at a restaurant that attracts guests coming from or heading to the Gateway. She offered desserts on the house, and while we appreciated that, we were passed the point of staying. When bringing the bill she told us the drinks were covered. Appreciated again, but after a really great show we walked in very hungry and were looking forward to a nice meal. Sorry to say we will go elsewhere the next time.
