Portland opened in 2015 and received a Michelin star the same year - which we have retained to this day. We try to offer the best contemporary example of fine dining in London – the finest produce we can find cooked with precision and a high level of technique led by our executive chef Stuart Andrew and head chef Chris Bassett and his team.

We offer a la carte and also a Tasting Menu at lunch and dinner.

Wine is as important as food and service at Portland. Our main wine list aims to offer brilliant value on interesting, different wines which we hope you seldom see on restaurant wine lists. Our Single Bottle List contains bins of some of the world’s finest wines and also more accessible offerings from our favourite producers.

Apart from the main restaurant, we hope that our private room and its offer of secluded and separate dining is just the thing for special family events or business meetings.

Had the 3 course a la carte. All dishes were perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. I will come back again.

Your waiting staff were excellent. Lovely service but just too slow. We arrived at 1.15pm and left around 4.00pm, despite chivvying them up a few times. Will definitely return though!

We have been to multiple Michelin restaurants. The quality of this food wasn’t as good as we are used to. It was nice, but not Michelin nice. I booked an table at 18.30. Everything went very fast, it felt like the waiters were looking at us the whole time. When we took the last bite, they allready took our plates away. The next plate came a few minutes later, when we haven’t finished our wine from te last dish yet. After our dessert they gave us the bill without asking, the table was double booked so we had tot leave. Overall it didn’t feel personal at all. It was an expensive meal but it didn’t gave us good memories.

Had such a lovely meal yesterday. The food was delicious but it was alll the little extras that made it special. The mushroom mousse that was brought out was so good and I loved the little mulled wine biscuit bites at the end. I'll definitely be coming back, ion fact have already booked another table!

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Food was full of complex flavours and looked beautiful without being pretentious. Sommelier chose an excellent bottle of wine that suited a challenging range of dishes, and was great value. The Portland will become a regular haunt.

Very enjoyable Saturday lunch with a good standard 1 Michelin star level of food. Love to go for an early lunch before football here and will definitely be back. A lot more expensive than pre-covid days but still decent value for a fixed price lunch. The food would have to be pushing a 2 star standard to get a 5 out of 5 overall rating from me but this is a strong 4 out of 5 meal.

Another great visit to Portland Restaurant. The menu was an amazing selection of dishes that used the very best seasonal ingredients and the service was as wonderful as ever. It's not surprising that there wasn't an empty table in the restaurant.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Some may find it loud once full of diners. I didn’t think it was excessively noisy and was perfect for the ambience.

Wonderful dining experience, unpretentious, very high standard food, drink, and service with a smile. The staff went the extra mile and wrote me a birthday card signed by everyone and a birthday cake gel that really was another course in its own right. The best in London, in 10 years of birthday treats, by far.

A wonderful lunch with great service and most importantly delicious food. All courses were excellent in their presentation and taste. I chose a black truffle panisse snack followed by burned leek with fennel lyonnaise, braised shoulder of iron age pork, and a desert of burned cheesecake. In addition to taste, the service was excellent value for money. Some excellent wine suggestions complemented the meal perfectly. Would certainly highly recommend.

Love Portland but they are very slow recently. We waited around 30-40 min between our starter and main. All in all it took them a little over 1 hour and 30 min to serve us only 3 small courses for lunch.
