Primeur Ratings and Reviews
We saw in the new year here and would do it again in a heartbeat. The atmosphere is really special: relaxed, informal, buzzy... Everything you'd want from a neighbourhood restaurant, basically. The same goes for the service, which was top notch and super friendly. We really enjoyed the food, particularly the mussels cooked in beer and the beef with broccoli, anchovies and capers, and the wines we were recommended were all fantastic (and great value we thought). We can't wait to try their sister restaurant next. Thoroughly recommended.
I had been to Primeur several times but hadn't been in 2 years. I've always had an excellent
experience and my recent visit didn't disappoint. Great atmosphere, great food and great service. The waiter was super knowledgable/helpful re suggesting different wines to have throughout the meal. Am lucky to have Primeur a 10 min walk from my flat...its a local gem !
We tried almost every small plate on the menu and they were all extremely tasty and not too rich. Even the bread that they served on arrival was great. I asked the waiter to choose a wine for me and he chose a fantastic one that I probably wouldn't have chosen. All in all I had a lovely evening. The only thing missing is coffee!
Primeur NEVER disappoint.
Food is seasonal, well sourced and genuinely tastes amazing, always with new plates and recipes to discover.
Staff is super friendly, yet not overly present.
The overall vibe of the restaurant is just great any day and anytime!
Would recommend it for all sorts of occasions.
Such a great place - warm, welcoming, stylish and fun with fantastic food. Everything we ate was special, the home-cured anchovies, the charcuterie, the fish, perfectly cooked and in a memorable not-too-rich sauce with chanterelles, the braised beef with horseradish mash (what a sensational dish) and finally a fluffy chocolate mousse full of flavour.
Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in London yet one of the least pretentious.
Sad they do not serve coffee! But nowhere is perfect.
