It was a delightful evening, the live band of the evening suited the atmosphere and the service was at very high standard. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a romantic getaway.
I booked a stay in the hotel for my partner and I for this 30th birthday. Best decision I ever made. Even with or without london eye view the rooms are incredible, staff from the bar and restaurant are incredible! We really enjoy our stay here especially the breakfast, lunch or just for dinner or just mid night snacks are do die for! Thanks chef!!!!!
My daughter and I had the Paw Patrol afternoon tea. Amazing service and really lovely set up. Shame it is only temporary as it would be nice to see it as a regular event.
We went for paw patrol afternoon tea. It was average. Quite a soulless bar, but nice staff. Might be more ambient in the evening.
We attended the paw patrol afternoon tea and had a great time
We went for the Paw Patrol afternoon tea and it was fantastic! Great value for money and they really looked after the kids. Thank you.
Nice bar with good atmosphere for live music.
Food service was an absolute disgrace! Ordered G&T with slimline tonic! What is lemon tonic asked the waiter!!!
Ordered sharing platter. After 30 minutes, we had to ask for food again. Apologies offered and given a free bowl of olives! Hmmm! Food arrived 40 minutes from original order being taken. The food was great, very tasty and fresh! Ordered 2 Jack D’s and coke for night cap! Only one arrived ?? Head barman spotted our frustration, came and apologised and explained the staff were new, foreign and under training! I think they need more! He did reduce the bill slightly and offered to take off the included 10% service charge, but it was still added st the till !!!!
Pity as the live music was very good, Mandy and the Mood Swings! Very good! They were main reason for staying until the end.
Doubt if we’ll be back
The Paw patrol experience was a let down, it looked nothing like the pictures & wasn’t a child friendly environment. We expected a room not the actual bar where we could hear business meetings. It’s took 5 members of staff to finally direct us as no one had a clue about this. And when we were taken to our seats nothing was said apart from please be seated & we just sat & waited for the rack to be delivered. A place mat & edible stickers is what I could’ve done at home, you advertised scones there were none just muffins & has any of the staff tried the layered jelly? It was so sour & other parents were all in agreement. Also there were fruit flies hovering around spent my time flapping them away & this is inside! It’s all laced with sugar but no drinks were provided & had to be bought separately. Luckily enough my son is a bit young to remember this disappointment unlike the other family who were evidently upset & left most of of their food untouched. Had you set this up like the paw patrol play room then that would’ve been the experience but this had no atmosphere what’s so ever & I feel I wasted my money on this
We had a brilliant evening. We were only going to stay for a drink but we loved the acoustic duo - Niixo or Nicoletto they were so talented and he was an amazing singer so we stayed until late! We enjoyed trying the different sharing platters too - a great night!
Wonderful environment. We had a fantastic evening and we were looked after so professionally by Alex making our Birthday treat so very special.
After so many years of visiting, the Primo has maintained its service, Entertainment a style. The whole Experiance is one I would recommend to anyone.
Alex thanks again.
Very nice, good music, tasteful food and good drinks.
Great ambiance on a Monday night with live music. Very attentive staff and the nicest whisky sour my husband has ever had!
Great cocktails and atmosphere, and the live band were fantastic. Not overpowering.
Prices were a little steep but not excessively so.
The service was excellent so I don't object to the service charge being included in the bill, but 12.5% is rather high.
The bar is beautiful, with stylish furniture and nicely laid out. The drinks were great and the chairs comfortable. The only slight negative is that despite booking a space for 5pm, no one came to take our orders once seated, despite been told we’d have a waiter. In the end, we waited 20mins and then asked to be served, which was a bit of a let down. Overall though, staff were friendly, and it’s a cool venue.
Was staying at the hotel with my husband and really like the idea of the love band while we had drinks and food. Had a lovely lady called Maria looking after our table who was very helpful while I went back and forth over the menu trying to find something I could eat. Also came over to see if everything was ok even when it got very busy. Will be going again.
Don’t allow people to bring children to a cocktail bar...
Our seats were at the bar area. Not easy to eat a proper meal where the table is knee height. Overpriced bar food.
Food was amazing, drinks were well prepared and the service was excellent
First time at Primo Bar. Excellent entertainment. Very nice surroundings staff were nice and helpful. Would recommend a night at Primo Bar
It’s a hotel bar in a sleek, corporate hotel in a desolate spot by the Thames. The singer & musician were good, but the atmosphere was what one would expect in an impersonal hotel bar. The wait staff seemed exhausted. If you’re not a hotel guest, don’t bother.
This was a described as a hip and trendy bar, but in fact it's just a hotel bar! The Park Plaza is just a bog standard conference hotel. Sorry Primo but you're not being honest with your advertising.
Amazing music, only low table to eat food so very impractical for a curry with rice, naan and salad! Got a back ache!
staff really unmotivated - only a very friendly blonde waitress made our stay agreeable / thanks to Maria!
food was good but if you don‘t feel welcome, you don‘t enjoy it...
Absolutely enjoyed our time at Primo bar Park Plza. Lovely place, food, live music, and the service. Will be coming back definitely.
My honey and I were visiting from the states and found Primo by chance (because they have live music)...the band alone made every minute there amazing. The food and drinks were a bonus!
Took my team here after dinner for drinks and to listen to the live music. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed the singing.
I received confirmation of my reservation the day before, but when I arrived they told me that there was a private function and I couldn't enter.
Lovely Saturday evening spent drinking cocktails and trying the sharing plates.
My hint? Book a table!!
Great location good atmosphere great live music food basic & priced reasonably
The bar was fun and well designed. It was at 8pm still full of families with children. The band looked good at 8pm but in an hour and half they did no more than tune up. I’m sure with the right band and a bit later time slot this is a cool evening venue.
Very nice venue and pleasant surroundings as part of the hotel. Comfortable seating and good noise level, still able to have a conversation while listening to great music.
Will definitely be back.
On top of everithing, the pianist Autumn was great!
Another fabulous evening at my favourite live music bar!
Took a friend here for drinks and live music. Lovely atmosphere as usual. Drinks and snacks are quite pricey, though not much choice and they ran out of certain snacks.
Primo Bar. Met friends for lunch. Having made a booking in what I thought was their restaurant I was told that the restaurant was closed and that the booking was for the bar area. Not ideal, but given that we had tickets for a matinee show we decided to stay. The service was a bit slow. Food was average. Underwhelmed.
The main course was OK. We normally look at the dessert menu after the main course and decide. More often than not we don't order dessert but felt a little hungry still, so were open to persuasion. We waited for our plates to be cleared. We were the only customers in the restaurant area when we arrived. Another couple arrived later, but guests were still outnumbered by staff. Nevertheless, there was not attempt to clear our plates for about ten minutes whilst our waitress chatted to a colleague or passed by without stopping. We weren't offered a dessert menu, which is unusual, and didn't feel like asking for one. We're not really fussy but we got the impression that no one was really that bothered. We bought some puddings in the Coop on the way home, so saved some money!
It was the second time we came here. The group that was performing was amazing, couldn't say a bad word about her performance. She was full of energy and great song choices.
Came here for my partners Birthday and it was one of the best nights we had. Jnay was our live act and he was amazing!
Lovely band with a great atmosphere. Reserved a seat before so it was a good view. Waiters and waitresses were very attentive.
Great venue, great staff, great cocktails and great live acoustic set up. What I didn’t realise was that this was the hotel bar and as a result guest were downstairs dressed very casually with their kids....there were a lot of kids which came as a surprise. I also made an effort with my attire so to be there with people wearing tracksuits was a little off putting but as it is a hotel bar this is to be expected I guess. The live singer was awesome but she only did covers to cater for the hotel crowd. She actually has recorded some great original material but I guess the hotel wanted to cater towards its wide array of guests hence only pop covers. I may come back but it will be for a more causual affair than a date.
