Mains were not served hot.
We had a simple request to exchange mash for dauphinouse on one dish, seemed pretty simple to me. Seemed the waitress thought otherwise.
Excellent food and staff, no charge for the two drinks due to my mother’s birthday, looking forward to my next visit
3rd visit and booked it for a family christmas get together. Everyone very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food for the price. Will deffinatly be returning in the new year.
Usually lovely place to meet up. However people seem to get very excited close to Christmas and the noise level was unfortunately too loud to enjoy better.
Prix FIXE a jewel in soho; sensibly priced, excellent cuisine and beautifully run by Lawrence.
Worth a visit!
A very good find, great value for money with a lovely ambiance. Very good choice of food, when it did arrive it was all delicious. Staff very friendly and always someone around if you needed assistance. If I am ever down watching a show again in this area, will be sure to book this gem. Make sure you do book as was very busy and people couldn’t get in, if didn’t have a table booked.
Very good food reasonably priced.
Did not have something I wanted on the menu however the one I picked instead was fantastic!
Excellent food, good portion size and fantastic value
Lively French Bistro. Nothing negative to say! Been many times and never disappointed. Superb set menu great value and portion size. Great friendly service. Definitely recommended.
Attentive staff, varied menu, nice atmosphere – great location
Absolutely lovely meal here! We had the pre-theatre menu and it was all delicious and brilliant value! The staff were friendly and helpful, the food great and it's like a proper French bistro in there! We will definitely go again.
Food was brilliant. Lovely wine and coffee. Cant fault it.
Excellent value as usual. Service was fine even on a busy lunchtime. The competition for custom in Soho is fierce, yet Prix Fixe always rises to the occasion. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending this restaurant to anyone looking for value and quality.
Excellent menu, food well prepared and served by courteous professional staff.
Lovely little place on Dean Street, we got there early as had theatre tickets. The food was very nice actually, I had the goats cheese on bruschetta on a bed of salad with pear, which was very pleasant followed by the confit of duck which fell off the bone, the jus was rich and delicious. My husband ordered the Dorset crab on sourdough, it looked lovely so I had a touch of food envy. For main he had the bavette steak which was cooked perfectly, still nice and pink in the middle. We accompanied this with 5 glasses of house wine and the bill came to under £85 including service charge. As we arrived early it was fairly quite but by 7pm when we left the place had a lovely hum of activity. My only negative would be that the 2 staff kept themselves behind the bar and I had to try and grab their attention twice, I felt they could have walked around a bit more to see if any customers needed anything. Apart from that, had a lovely meal and evening.
Have been coming to Prix Fixe for the last 3 years whenever I need somewhere with great food quality in a central location. The pre theatre set menu provides exceptional value for money. I have brought friends and family here in the past and have never had any issues. However, my last visit here was marred by poor service.
The old spot and apricot meatloaf was a very appetising seasonal addition to the menu, having been added within the last month or so. I personally highly recommend the duck breast Magret, which comes in a rich, slightly spiced red wine jus. The duck is always superbly cooked. I opted for another seasonal addition, beef Stroganoff. The beef was very tender, and the sauce not overly cloying as Stroganoff can be on occasion.
I usually order the Cote du Rhone from the wine list which I thoroughly enjoy, although the Malbec is a strong contender.
Cannot fault the food or ambiance, but the slow service was a disappointing experience as I have always previously enjoyed excellent food and service here. Would certainly return and continue to recommend.
Excellent service and the food was fantastic lovely restaurant would highly recommend it to all .
Many thanks to the staff really focussed on customer service and very friendly thank you
An excellent reasonably priced restaurant in Dean St. Plenty of choice on the menu and the option of having a fixed price for either 2 or 3 courses. Service is prompt without being rushed and an excellent choice of wines to suit all tastes and pockets.
Booking, Welcome, and Ordering was very good. Service was very good and as this was a first business meeting we chatted and took a while to order, which was not a problem for staff.
Food was good and as expected... and reasonably priced. I will be back again. Thanks
Fantastic friendly service, good value for money and well cooked food
We go to Prix Fixe fairly regularly and its always good, great fixed price menu and very reasonable for Soho.
We've been to prix fixe on and off for the last 4 years..mostly special occasion and it never disappoints!! Staff is great, food is excellent..its really one of those places that makes me leave generally..happy!
Booked for 6pm on Saturday prior to going to theatre and arrived 5 mins early. Very busy and place was virtually full. Menu had selection of choices and food presented was fresh. However, service was very slow and so we ended up having to ask for mains to come asap as we needed to eat and leave! Mains arrived at 7.15 and we rushed to eat it and leave as we needed to be in the theatre. Some of the food was good but beef bourguignon was only lukewarm and veg a bit too al dente. Real shame as portion size was good, taste good and reasonable price given location. Staff said that we should have told them we were going to the theatre! Didn't think we would need to.
I pre-booked a table for 4 for 3.30pm on a Saturday. I picked this restaurant because of the varied set menu especially as two in the party are vegetarian. The choice was great and the cost amazing considering you are in the centre of Soho. I doubt you could find cheaper in the area. There was a nice ambiance in the restaurant with dimmed lights and background music. And the Staff were helpful, friendly, very welcoming and full of smiles. A real treat and I would highly recommend.
Very nice staff and atmosphere. The food was well prepared and ample. Overall very good.
Came here for my son’s 22nd birthday, mainly because the reviews were so positive and we weren’t disappointed. Lovely food, plenty of it and reasonably priced. The wine was very nice too!
The main thing we all liked was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They brought the desert menus quite soon after we finished our mains but we said we would have 5 mins and they happily left us alone, unlike some other restaurants who keep coming back. Really recommend Prix Fixe.
The service at Prix Fixe was friendly and professional. The two waitresses serving me that evening were attentive, but not intrusive and made sure that, as I was a singleton, that I had an occasional chat. The food was very good. I had crab on sourdough toast to start and a perfectly medium rare tuna steak for main course, served on a bed of fresh sauteed vegetables. I enjoyed a glass of Picpoul with the crab and a French regional Pinot Noir with the tuna. The ambiance is good, but not perfect. I have a liking for banquet seating, which Prix Fixe does not have. Hence, the tables are a little close together. Otherwise a highly acceptable experience. I would recommend and return to Prix Fixe.
Slow service and very ordinary food
Excellant! great food and service. Would highly recommend
One of my favorite restaurants in London. Always a wide selection of options and you cannot best the 3 course menu. The duck confit is especially a favorite!
Wonderful food and lovely staff, we would definitely return.
I went there to celebrate my birthday. Me being an introvert, I loved the chill vibe. The small little cake, and a quiet "Happy Birthday" by the waitress was enough for me. The food was incredible, very hearty and robust, very French. The sauces were just so lovely. The service was great, we were looked after. The restaurant was cosy and the ambience very nice as well. Would highly recommend.
The people, the food, the place. If this place closes so do I.
Another lovely meal at Prix fixe. Thank you to Laurence and his team for looking after us.
Have been a few times before and will definitely go again. Excellent value for money - a set menu with plenty of nice choices
2nd time coming here and just as good as the first! Would highly recommend
Great food on the set menu, love how it changes seasonally. Just sad there was a very weak selection of vegan options!
Good food at a good price on the Prixe fixe menu. Staff very friendly . Other food looked very good
Perfect for a pre-theatre dinner, very good value for money and high quality of food. Would definitely return!
Very good service, lovely food, and the pre theatre menu
is amazing value.
This is the third time we have been, and would recommend to
anyone going to the theatre.
