The best meal I've ever had. The service was incredible. I ordered a house "old fashioned" with mezcal and it was the best cocktail I've ever had.

Beautiful new space, and for great decor, gave up intimacy and a quiet environment. Acoustics are now terrible. Service remains impeccable and top notch. All plating is gorgeous. Choose your courses wisely. The meat courses were good but not spectacular.

The staff was warm and welcoming , beautiful feng shui setting with incredible service . We dined for over 2 hours and enjoyed every minute of the experience . For a 7 course meal the portions were perfecto ! A little costly but all in all a great experience . Yolanda

Went to Pujol with perhaps too much anticipation. 6 course meal - started strong, but fizzled out for me. Perhaps I just made bad choices. I would go back and try again, as a couple of the dishes really didn’t hit the mark. I left the last 2 (2 moles and a chocolate ganache) mostly uneaten. They weren’t my thing.

All that said, at current exchange rates, it’s an incredible bargain for Americans to go there.

Came because of Chefs Table-the Netflix series that profiles the world’s best chefs and their glorious restaurants We were not disappointed! Pujol was our best and most memorable meal in Mexico City. Loved the fact that Pujol offers a tasting menu. Each course was wonderful w the worse among fabulous courses being the dessert. My sole complaint is that each course wasn’t a bit smaller! Great memory!!

My wife and I flew to Mexico City from Pasadena CA to experience the amazing food explosion happening in the City right now. Pujol did not disappoint. I have to comment of the beautiful building where Pujol resides.....to us MidCentury lovers....it was magical!
Where can I start with the food.....the presentation, the flavors, the harmony of stages and of course the Mole!!! My wife says she could have had 6 courses of mole- ours was reheated 1509 days!
I know Chef Olvera has a brand new place in NY - I hope some day soon we on the West Coast(Los Angeles) will be able to enjoy Chef Olvera's magic.

Buena comida y concepto. Sé que se trata de un restaurante top pero el precio de los aperitivos (2 caballitos de mezcal) fue un abuso (casi el precio de una botella de vino!), deberían al menos concertar con el comensal si está de acuerdo. Acogedor y servicio excelentes.

Pujol is overpriced and over rated. It is a great room, very modern, but the food was uneven and not what we expected in terms of great taste.

I had great expectations at Pujol and they were mostly met, but not entirely. The overall experience was wonderful. The staff bathed us with lavish attention. The food was a little hit or miss, though. I guess it depends on what you choose... and I did not choose as well as my partner.

The "street food" is a smoking pumpkin filled with an exquisite baby corn elote- truly mesmerizing for every sense. I chose poorly for the next dish- I imagined "Rice, geoduck clam, scallop..", that was also described as raw seafood, to be sushi or crudo-like, but in fact it was risotto. I make really good risotto so I was aghast that I was eating a too-al dente lemony-seafood risotto that was tasty, but in no way special. Plus it was a really big portion of starch for a tasting menu, so I was set up for not being able to enjoy the rest of the meal, being full so early. My partner, on the other hand, had a lovely octopus dish that was small and perfectly tender, with tasty sauces.

The server helped me choose the next dish, a wonderful cauliflower with almond salsa- warming chiles, crunchy almonds. My partner had a deeply satisfying mushroom soup. For the next course, again I did not choose well. My grilled sea bass was perfectly cooked, with a crispy skin, but had a somewhat tasteless blue corn puree underneath, and a sauce that lacked acidity. It was practically a dish one would get at a normal American restaurant where you'd bring your parents at College, you know what I mean? Not special enough for the special overall experience and price. The duck, on the other hand, was perfectly medium rare, and had a dance of fruit and earth flavors in its accompanying sauces.

The 1,504 day mole was accompanied by a new mole. Exquisite in complex flavors but soooo rich.

The highlight, along with the opener, was the closer: roasted pineapple with molasses and cilantro. A perfect complex taste boomerang that hit the many spots on my tongue that needed a bounce.

The first time I experienced Pujol was in 2014 and it was one of the most memorable meals of my life. This experience in 2018 was dramatically different. the food seemed highly systematic , there is no change or altering of the tasting menu and you are sitting so close to your neighbors that if they are one course ahead of you, the excitement and anticipation is gone because you hear the entire explanation over and over again because everyone has the same food and the tables are so close. The first three course were okay. nothing our of this world and everyone is really just waiting for the mole madre. We tried to deviate from the wine pairing and try different wines but that was difficult. the wait staff did not seem as hospitable as they were when the location was smaller. overall, for the experience, i thought the price was out of this world high. we had much better service and meals in different places in Polanco for much less expensive. we ended up paying over 7000 pesos for 2 people.
