Love this place. It’s an all time favourite. Small, intimate, friendly and very very delicious.
Best chef in London
Small and intimate, the food at 104 is rivalled only by how great the service is. It’s a special little place delivering magic.
Richard is an amazing chef, accommodated all our needs and made a special family celebration just perfect! One of my very favourite restaurants anywhere.
This was an exceptional meal. I cannot believe I missed this restaurant before!. The chef is passionate and inventive. The food was creative and delicious with excellent ingredients, without being overly fussy and showy.
The restaurant's ambience was like eating in a friend's dining room, just 6 double tables. We were out for a date night with my husband and really enjoyed the atmosphere, it was not overly quiet as some small restaurants can be so it was not awkward.
Service was attentive, friendly and the wine list great, a little on the expensive side but plenty of range.
The chef came out to chat to us after the service was complete and it was easy to see his passion. The freshly baked madelaine that came complementary was soooo delicious. Thoroughly recommended.
Excellent address, would definitely recommend.
Superb as always, whatever is serves is always delicious
Really enjoyed coming back to the same site (it was Marianne's before and now is 104)
Richard's cooking is as good as you'd expect given his pedigree (superb langoustine, turbot and lamb) - underwhelming tagliatelle), but it's a few things that let it down for us - tasting menu at £60 is good value but the wine menu had far too few wines at below the three figure mark which really chunks out the bill (added to the already beefy 15% service charge) - the addition of supplements is to me slightly devious given that there were only 2 options for mains and starters!- social distancing is difficult with a room of 14 covers but we would've expected the lone server to at least to have worn a mask throughout (which he didn't).
To me this is still one of London's hidden gems of small restaurants but maybe it's geared more to well-healed tourists that are still frequenting this area (at least 2 tables featured US accents in convo) than those coming in from the burbs in a £10 Uber like us.
Great if not superb cooking in parts (i might add we've been to most 2/3* restaurants in London) but not good value sadly.
Friendly, warm and charming restaurant with great service. 3 course menu for £60 was spot on and Service was attentive and approachable. Highly recommended.
Fabulous food made with finest ingredients with a very respectable wine list. Top it all with great service and a cosy atmosphere and you get a memorable experience. Loved this rather small but fine restaurant and will definitely come back soon. Thank you.
Food was excellent. Fine wine list. Friendly and quiet.
Delicious food, cosy and friendly atmosphere
Superb dining experience! Loved it. A real treat. Wine is very expensive which makes a worthily expensive meal become very very expensive. Remember to expect a cosy 12 seat experience, no huge hubbub, just a peaceful and relaxing environment to enjoy excellent food. The seats have adjustable backs which makes it a really comfy place to be for a lovely evening.
Amazing, one of the best restaurants in town! Recommend it 100%
I have been to all the best restaurants in London. I think this has the best food of all of them.
Typically excellent, look forward to going back in September
Consistently fantastic as always! The quality is always top notch
I’m so happy we discovered 104a.
Great food and atmosphere; kind and attentive front of house!
Amazing find and one of London's best kept secret's - Matt and Richard have created an amazing restaurant. Fantastic food & wine, great ambiance and overall brilliant.
Fantastic as always, lovely service and wonderful food. The sweatbreads and wagyu beef were divine!
One of my best ever dining experiences. I just can’t fault it and can’t wait to return. Delicious food at a good price and best of all were matt the maitred and Richard the chef. 10/10
Best in London. All of the restaurants are a waste of time.
My boyfriend and I have been around the London Michelin scene, and have tried plenty of hyped restaurants, but this tiny cozy 6-seater blew our minds. The produce is of the highest quality you’ll find in London and the dishes are simply excellent and inventive. The lamb, turbot and chocolate moulleux were stunning. Caters to vegetarians too if requested in advance - the vegan main I had was absolutely delicious. Most impressively the headcount of the restaurant is just two people, yet everything from the bread to the dessert is homemade and produce is individually sourced. Having worked at the very best, both Matt and Richard are extremely knowledgeable and you can sense the passion with which they created this gem of a restaurant. A breath of fresh air in London’s oversaturated and often disappointing culinary scene. We will be coming back!
Amazing experience and really good food
Absolute pleasure and joy visiting this sweet and charming restaurant. The food was delicious and at highest quality. Presented in a stunning manner and I just can't think of anything that wasn't heavenly about the evening!
Wonderful attentive service, food was spectacularly good. Dishes Never tasted how I assumed which I always enjoy, but excelled as we ate them.
The wines were paired very well with each course.
It is an intimate experience, charming staff and Chef engaged with us before we left.
When I have enjoyed a meal/ evening as much as this, I recommend it to friends very quickly .. I may keep this gem to myself!!
Lovely atmosphere to enjoy the best food
The food and wine are really good; what really makes it special is the intimate setting and the fantastic service. It is very small which makes it a unique dining experience and an opportunity to ask whatever you want about the food and wine from the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a special occasion with good food and service but not too stuffy
Valentines evening, limited though very tasty menu. Nicely cooked. Venue so small that you can’t help but be aware of other diners. All-in-all a pleasant venue, nice staff, good food. Will be returning
This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The Food is so well thought out, well prepared and is ridiculously tasty.
The restaurant is unique in the fact it is only 6 tables.
The wine list is amazing
You will love coming here.....
Simply the best restaurant in London. Remarkable ambience. Exquisite food. Fantastic.
Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Great food, and atmosphere. Made us feel so welcome, to quote the owner they’re serious about food without taking themselves to seriously. Will definitely go again!
Outstanding restaurant. One of the very best in London if you like quiet, intimate places.
Such a special place, you feel like you have your own sommelier and chef in your own dining room. The food was beautiful, seasonal, delicious, pink champagne, buttery white chardonnay, smokey red, great choice of dessert wines, the atmosphere was fun, the front of house was personable, knowledgable and generous and the chef came out after our meal to make sure we enjoyed it all, we did and we'll come back with friends and family - go!
Went for dinner here with my friends and we had such an awesome time! I don’t always take photos of my food but felt compelled to because it looked and tasted soo good!
This is affordable fine dining in a lovely setting with amazing service. Matt was awesome - friendly, engaging, and just generally awesome. I’d read other reviews about how lovely he is and he definitely lived up to the hype of customer service.
The food was .... smacks lips, drools and then licks that too. Very well done. Menu changes daily as well so keeps things interesting. I loved the amuse Bouche and the fresh bread. I ordered the turbot and had food envy when I saw my friends beef, but my turbot was incredibly tasty and the best dish in my view. The chocolate fondant dessert was incredibly rich and not too sweet which was a nice change in my view. Madelines at the end was a nice touch but I was super stuffed at that point.
It is a tiny restaurant - 12 seats so has a very lovely intimate feel to it. Amazing! CANNOT RECOMMMEND ENOUGH. Wish I could shout about it but I almost don’t want too many people going there so it remains my awesome little secret place😉.
Such a gorgeous little restaurant! My husband and I really enjoyed the experience and the food was superb.
Amazing place, awesome staff, great food, love it, will come back soon
We celebrated my birthday with a few friends, and we couldn't have wish for a better restaurant. We the intimate atmosphere, the delicious and very well-prepared food, the fantastic wine & the very lovely and professional service. I would absolutely recommend the restaurant & will definitely visit again.
Amazing food and amazing service!
