Best in London. All of the restaurants are a waste of time.
My boyfriend and I have been around the London Michelin scene, and have tried plenty of hyped restaurants, but this tiny cozy 6-seater blew our minds. The produce is of the highest quality you’ll find in London and the dishes are simply excellent and inventive. The lamb, turbot and chocolate moulleux were stunning. Caters to vegetarians too if requested in advance - the vegan main I had was absolutely delicious. Most impressively the headcount of the restaurant is just two people, yet everything from the bread to the dessert is homemade and produce is individually sourced. Having worked at the very best, both Matt and Richard are extremely knowledgeable and you can sense the passion with which they created this gem of a restaurant. A breath of fresh air in London’s oversaturated and often disappointing culinary scene. We will be coming back!
Amazing experience and really good food
Absolute pleasure and joy visiting this sweet and charming restaurant. The food was delicious and at highest quality. Presented in a stunning manner and I just can't think of anything that wasn't heavenly about the evening!
Wonderful attentive service, food was spectacularly good. Dishes Never tasted how I assumed which I always enjoy, but excelled as we ate them.
The wines were paired very well with each course.
It is an intimate experience, charming staff and Chef engaged with us before we left.
When I have enjoyed a meal/ evening as much as this, I recommend it to friends very quickly .. I may keep this gem to myself!!
Lovely atmosphere to enjoy the best food
The food and wine are really good; what really makes it special is the intimate setting and the fantastic service. It is very small which makes it a unique dining experience and an opportunity to ask whatever you want about the food and wine from the knowledgeable and friendly staff. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a special occasion with good food and service but not too stuffy
Valentines evening, limited though very tasty menu. Nicely cooked. Venue so small that you can’t help but be aware of other diners. All-in-all a pleasant venue, nice staff, good food. Will be returning

Such a special place, you feel like you have your own sommelier and chef in your own dining room. The food was beautiful, seasonal, delicious, pink champagne, buttery white chardonnay, smokey red, great choice of dessert wines, the atmosphere was fun, the front of house was personable, knowledgable and generous and the chef came out after our meal to make sure we enjoyed it all, we did and we'll come back with friends and family - go!

This is affordable fine dining in a lovely setting with amazing service. Matt was awesome - friendly, engaging, and just generally awesome. I’d read other reviews about how lovely he is and he definitely lived up to the hype of customer service.
The food was .... smacks lips, drools and then licks that too. Very well done. Menu changes daily as well so keeps things interesting. I loved the amuse Bouche and the fresh bread. I ordered the turbot and had food envy when I saw my friends beef, but my turbot was incredibly tasty and the best dish in my view. The chocolate fondant dessert was incredibly rich and not too sweet which was a nice change in my view. Madelines at the end was a nice touch but I was super stuffed at that point.
It is a tiny restaurant - 12 seats so has a very lovely intimate feel to it. Amazing! CANNOT RECOMMMEND ENOUGH. Wish I could shout about it but I almost don’t want too many people going there so it remains my awesome little secret place😉.

We celebrated my birthday with a few friends, and we couldn't have wish for a better restaurant. We the intimate atmosphere, the delicious and very well-prepared food, the fantastic wine & the very lovely and professional service. I would absolutely recommend the restaurant & will definitely visit again.

Amazing little restaurant with very few tables, a good set menu changing almost every day and a very good wine list too. We were lucky that they had just received black truffles on that day, which they often have on the menu during the season. Better value than a famous Michelin star restaurant around the corner and more quiet

Delicious food, chef went out of his way to provide a dairy free meal for us. One of the best I have had this year. Great front of house too. Wonderful, cosy and quiet with great atmosphere. We will return.
After being warmly greeted by Matt on solo front of house duty, we ordered champagne and looked over the menu which contrived to be both short at two pages and yet still full of dilemma for choice. We were sorely tempted to go for the £110 five-course tasting menu, liberally laced throughout with Alba white truffle and Schrenkii caviar but, as most of the dishes were also available in alternative forms (without truffle or caviar although these could be added at extra cost) on the £42.50 three-course menu, this seemed more than adequate so we went that way and it was the right choice for us. As we dithered, Matt brought out tasty cheese tartlets with the thinnest of thin pastry as a pre-starter and he supplied home-made dark sourdough bread, excellent butter and chatty interaction at just the right frequency. As first course, I had Scottish langoustine, meaty with spiced puy lentils and a rich bisque emulsion and my companion had a beautiful, golden-yolked, poached Burford Brown hen's egg with shiitake mushrooms, an earthy jerusalem artichoke puree and a sprinkling of piment d'Espelette. As main course, I had red deer loin, perfectly cooked with creamy caramelised celeriac, sweet brussels sprouts and rich grand veneur sauce and my companion had a light and pleasant dish of Cornish turbot with spinach and champagne sauce. We split our final course in two. First, sharing an excellent selection of four cheeses, one soft and mellow in flavour, one soft and full in flavour, one hard and very deeply flavoured (like an aged Gouda) and one blue and spicy. Then, finishing with an indulgent Valrhona warm chocolate moelleux with Madagascan vanilla ice cream and Matt brought another extra treat to go with it, two light and fluffy madeleines warm from the oven. At the end of the meal, Richard came out of the kitchen to thank us for eating at 104, a nice touch, and, at £100 per head, including 12.5% service, my companion and I both felt the meal had been excellent value for money.
This was everything we could ask for in a restaurant meal. The restaurant is small enough that every dish is prepared perfectly and served immediately. Both the fish and venison main courses were the best we've ever had. We're not dessert people, but we've been craving 104's not-too-sweet rum baba ever since we had it, and we would have been craving the chocolate moelleux if we hadn't been so busy craving the rum baba. The restaurant space is the best marriage of cozy and minimalism. Service was excellent and all our needs were met and then some. We will definitely be back.

Cosy, intimate and yet unaware of other diners conversations albeit a small bijou restaurant.
Well chosen lighting, Lovely white linen and gleaming glasses add to the atmosphere. The food and service is excellent
from start to finish the foie gras was sublime.

Tiny restaurant (seats around 15 people) so exceptional service from the sole waiter/sommelier/proprietor. The excellent chef and assistant are visible in the tiny kitchen. Beautifully prepared, thoughtful but non-fancy food. If anything the restaurant is better than in its previous incarnation as Marianne's. My one criticism is that while the food is well priced (compared to it local high-end competition, the Ledbury and Charactere), the wine list is skewed towards doubtless excellent but very expensive wines. It would be nice to see some decent wines under £100.

A wonderful restaurant in the most beautiful, intimate, calm dining room. Perfect food, wonderful service, and as it’s so small it’s very personal. A lovely evening out for all occasions, I had my birthday there with family and have returned with friends. Go, enjoy.

Its very small dining area gives it a wonderful, cosy, inviting feel. Matt who owns and runs it couldn't have been more warm and welcoming. He also went out of his way getting in touch, as soon as i'd made an online reservation, to ask if I'd like him to order a sulphite free wine due to a sulphite allergy. And with no obligation to drink it on the night. We did drink it... half as experiment half as a way to relax and enjoy the evening. We didn't polish the bottle off and as such weren't charged full price. Tell me which restaurant does this? Amazing!
The food was utterly delicious. The BEST beef i've had in ages. My only VERY minor critiscism and it wasn't an issue at all, was there could have been more veg rather than three blobs of veg puree.
The generous helpings of bread were also seriously good as were the madelines Matt and his chef produced right at the end as an extra offering to mark our celebration.
We look forward to returning very soon and next time not mid week!

This place is an absolute gem of a restaurant. From the stunning food, quality ingredients prepared with skill and dedication, to the exceptional service, attentive without being overbearing, making you feel relaxed and welcome. 104 get everything right.
