11 Brasserie @ No 11 Ratings and Reviews
An amazing find. Everything at the restaurant was excellent, the service, the food quality, the ambience. Small dining area but gives it a lovely warm cosy intimite feeling. The wine we ordered was excellent as was every single item and we had 3 courses each, including the game bird of the day. The staff were all lovely, attentive but discreet, nothing was too much trouble. Timings were great did not feel at all hurried and really enjoyed a relaxing dining experience. Lovely varied menu choices, reasonably priced for good quality food. Only about a 5 minute walk from the Edinburh Playhouse and they offer pre-theatre dining option. We would recommend and plan to go back again.
We dined as a family, taking 2 University students out to dinner. We all loved the food which was very delicious, with carefully prepared combinations of flavours. It was quiet, which suited the grandmother amongst us. The hostess was very attentive and friendly. The only thing to improve would be the height of the seats - they were very low! However we would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and would go again if we were back in Edinburgh.
We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. Just like others, we loved it. The service was wonderful, with care being taken to adapt food to accommodate special dietary needs. It was our last evening of a holiday in Edinburgh and the perfect way to spend it. The food was delicious, the staff were welcoming and helpful, and everything about the evening was perfect. It was also a short walk from where we were staying so that was also good. If we come back, we'll stay in this lovely boutique hotel, not just have dinner here!
Good food, EXCELLENT staff!!! I took my wife for her birthday treat, so glad she picked here. We both loved the food, the hot smoked salmon dish was so delicious and that hoi sin sauce with the duck bon-bon's....yum. I'm actually salivating just thinking about the food.
The booking process through open table worked flawlessly, the restaurant phoned to confirm booking and any additional requirement.
The food was very good, creative, and well presented. The staff was friendly, helpful, attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant has a lovely feel to it and is most comfortable, even for the single female diner. I thought it was a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience.
Centrally located in Edinburgh's Georgian New Town, No 11 was the perfect place for an anniversary lunch. Before our date, we were called by the maitre d for any special requirements, which was encouraging. No 11 is boutique in every way. The elegant period dining room, with its classic windows and fireplace, was painted in contemporary dark grey. The food was spectacular, every morsel delicious. We had venison and lamb, handcut chips and chorizo cabbage. And the creme brulee was the most divine pot of gorgeousness ever. Mid-priced for a special lunch. Quite perfect.
Having been meaning to come here for some time, I came with my partner for our 20 anniversary dinner and was very pleased with everything from the initial reception, the quality of the food and wine as well as the attentive but not overly invasive service. Great value too having gone for the £25 for three courses option. The pistachio creme brûlée was a highlight and caused serious pudding envy in my other half! We will definitely come back again.
This was the third time in 2 months that we've eaten here as the food is so good!
The salmon tartare starter looked interesting and I was informed it was as delicious as it looked. We both had the hake with asparagus & pancetta & mash which was beautifully cooked and so tasty. I finished with the white chocolate & banana parfait with cinder toffee....Mmmmmmm!!!!
Service was efficient and friendly and their wine list is very reasonable.
We'll be back again very soon.
Enjoyed a fabulous afternoon tea at 11 Brasserie. Booked this as a surprise for my cousins from Calafornia and they loved the whole experience. Service was efficient and staff extremely courteous. Nothing was too much for them. We enjoyed an almost private dining experience in the lounge area and had a good selection of finger sandwiches, pastries, cakes and fresh made scones. it was a delightful afternoon. Highly recommended.
We had a set menu which included a Bellini, which meant it was amazing value. The food was delicious and well presented. I'd told them it was a celebration meal and they surprised us with another dessert with a candle in. I felt they went the extra mile to make sure our experience was more than just a meal.
the food was just great - I have been there 3 times thus far and they have never failed to deliver so far. The food was just wonderful and the staff are so attentive and sincere. I was quite pleasantly surprised that they are child-friendly too (a table near us with 3 kids). I have tried food at the "famous" Witchery, and I personally think the food at No.11 is better.
I would go back there many more times.
We spent a week for Hogmanay and everyone said eating at this restaurant was the best.
We felt welcomed and special and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Food was delightful. Our daughter loved her afters ( dessert / pudding) so much it was hard to share.
So glad we found this restaurant. We would go back.
I booked a table and night as it was my wife's birthday and we were going to the playhouse that evening which is with in walking distance and we had a great time. The hotel was lovely, comfortable and clean and the food was excellent as was the service. I would highly recommend the restaurant and hotel to anyone for a relaxing nights stay followed by a wonderful breakfast.
We went for my husbands 30th birthday, booked the day before and we were so glad we chose this restaurant. The restaurant is so nice, and the food amazing. We had the £25 for 3 courses with a belini, and it was fantastic value for money. The goats cheese tart, cod and chocolate eton mess was fabulous.....
The staff are lovely and couldn't do enough for you. We took our 5 week old baby and everyone was more than accommodating to us.
We will definitely go back and would certainly recommend it.
