Lovely dining experience. Food excellent and felt safe and spacious. Our only minor criticism is that on the day the service was quite slow. We had booked at 1pm , starters came at a good time but it was a long wait then for our mains. That won’t deter us coming back as the quality was very good
Beautiful food, and fantastic service! The food is quite pricey but it was worth it!
All round, very good, thoroughly enjoyed, but due to new COVID time restrictions we felt rushed to leave table not allowing us time for after dinner drink. But overall very good. 👍🏽
My dining companion and I had a lovely evening here. We were courteously shown to our seats and water provided straight away. And our drinks order was taken soon after. A good start!
The staff were very attentive and our food arrived quickly. My only wee gripe was that my lamb was a bit fatty and chewy. But my companion's stuffed pepper disappeared quickly!
Our drinks always came quickly too. Always a good sign!
There was a bit of trouble paying by card which was something to do with a new machine apparently. But luckily I had enough cash to settle up.
11 Brasserie is a great place and we've already booked in for October!
Food was very good and staff were attentive and courteous.
Excellent menu with some fantastic choices.
The food was excellent, I could not find fault.
Service was first class with a courteous and friendly waiter always on hand.
The environment felt safe and Covid safe.
Value for money was off the scale!
Excellent food, not much atmosphere in rear room we were put in and had to put lights on ourselves. No music, no banter and no recommendations from young waiter. Forgot my drink order so not overly impressed. Real shame as beautiful building and location and main restaurant area at front looked lovely and inviting so may have been a different experience in there but all our food was excellent. Okay overall but could be amazing with a little more thought, ambience and attention to diners. Wouldn't write it off altogether and may consider a return in case it was an "off " night. Thankyou for the wonderful food.
We had high hopes that the food would be good!
It was the restaurant guys first day and he was the only good part of the evening.
Unfortunately not the case With the food we ordered bread & salted butter
It came and the bread was beyond
“ Stale” It was rock hard, and then worse to come we then find green mould on two of the pieces of bread!
Restaurants response , I will let the chef know!!
I ordered Fillet Steak and yes the meat was acceptable but not worth £30, but it arrived with freezing cold vegetables nearly in-cooked!
Again we complain and this time the chef comes out takes a quick look and me & the wife smiles then disappears .
Simple, probably the worst meal we have had in Edinburgh no way is the quality of the food and care of what’s being served worth the money .
They whole experience was disappointing and a waste of hard earned money.
Your restaurant was recommended to me. I wasn’t disappointed truly amazing food it made my wife’s birthday so special.
Everything was excellent. Good portion size, incredibly delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. Both waiters were lovely and attentive.
We need to go back more often as we love it. Would highly recommend.
A small but cosy and nicely decorated dining room at the ground floor front room of this boutique hotel. Had a lovely starter of watermelon, feta and quinoa followed by venison - perfectly cooked. Lacked a little in atmosphere but good food at a reasonable price.
2nd visit and a bit disappointed - shown to an ugly room at the back not the main dining room so were sat whispering alongside another couple at there was no atmosphere, the table was a desk and very uncomfortable night. Food was fine. Service wasn’t great with being in a separate room, no glass provided for my coke, no side plate for bread, no receipt from card payment given. Would only go if you ask for a room in the main dining room. Felt a bit cheated and like a second class diner!
Friendly welcome, great social distancing measures making us feel very safe and comfortable to eat out. Sophie our waitress was very helpful and efficient. There was also a more experienced waiter nurturing and supporting her development (we didn’t get his name). He also gave us great tips for things to do whilst in Edinburgh. Food was exceptional. Would definitely recommend
Would definitely recommend the deep fried poached egg and the trio of lamb.
From the posting this was not as expected .... maybe my fault. Looked like a chic bistro in the new town ... we were shown into an unattractive room in a hotel that I wouldn’t have stayed in. We didn’t stay to eat
Good service and nice food- we had venison and a desert. Well presented with excellent service. It was a bit dark and gloomy in restaurant which made reading the menu a challenge.
This was an unexpected pleasure . Food was really enjoyable and everything worked really well.
Lovely meal staff were very helpful clear partions between each table
Outstanding. Stunning food, well done Great staff
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. What more could you want?
The food wasn't great tbh, the steak was quite a sad affair and for £24 I was expecting a lot more. The crispy fried poached egg, wasn't very nice, it had some dough around it but it wasn't crispy at all, also the poached egg was very flat.

No 11 Brasserie is excellent the food is always nice the staff are friendly and helpful making you feel very welcome and nothing is any trouble for them.
There is a nice relaxing ambience too
A little gem, friendly welcome, lovely menu and fabulous food! Ideal location for walking to The Playhouse. Wish we'd had more time for dessert would definitely visit again.
Cozy little brasserie with good choice of food for pescatarians.
Great meal. Owner /manager was having a tough night with a couple of the guests who were staying there who had way too much to drink. This provided some entertainment but clearly rattled the staff. Overall great and would recommend this place
Thank you and well done to all the team at No. 11 for looking after us so well last Saturday. Excellent choice of food and drinks - all delicious and enjoyed by entire party. Service very friendly and attentive. This was my second visit and I look forward to returning in the future. Best wishes - Ross.
Fantastic meal, great service and value.
Certainly be back
On the basis of the service we received, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant which is a shame due to the standard of the food which was delicious.
It wouldn’t take much for the staff to be a bit more attentive to their customers, we felt dismissed due to the fact that we had a voucher.
Excellent food and excellent service. Wee bit noisy on the Friday night, but enjoyed it all the same. Will be back
Very poor. The tasting menu was like M&S buffet food at eye watering prices. What made the evening much worse is that the price of the New Year’s eve fixed menu advertised on Open Table more than doubled between making the reservation (and paying the 50% deposit) and on the evening itself. We paid a 50% deposit of £95.25 for the meal and yet the food bill on the evening (for the fixed menu) was £381 (just over double what was expected).
Amazing food amazing service and a great comfortable place to eat! Very snazzy but a great vibe too!
Lovely, quiet little restaurant that comes highly recommend. The food was lovely, very tasty and nice and warm.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Will def visit again.
We visited on Christmas eve. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. We had the best Christmas dinner we have had for a very long time. Freshly cooked and delicious. Thank you
We had a reservation early since we went with kids, got even a little bit early and could be immediately seated. The service was really very friendly and the food was awesome.
It was a very busy day and we could see that the personal was a little overloaded, which led to the service being a little slow. Nevertheless it was really not a problem, since with the good ambiance we were having a good time in family.
Oh i absolutely loved the ambience and small intimate dining experience this was!! Would totally recommend to any visitors.
Elegant surroundings in quiet dining room allowing for conversation which was very refreshing from the bustle of the crowds in the centre. Food was lovely, served hot accompanied by a very nice wine. Reasonably priced for the quality. Would definitely go back and happy to recommend.
the reception was very poor from both members of staff. once seated we where offered drinks, and asked if we where ready to order food, which I thought they seemed to be rushing us. I appreciate that we where around 20mins late, through no fault of our own, and this was explained. the starters were not that hot, and who serves food on slates still... 3 of our mains arrived and we waited for the 4th and the sides by that time our meats where Luke warm at best... we were then rushed in to ordering desserts and it then became apparent that the two staff members where rushing to empty the restaurant, it was 9.50... while eating our desserts our host whipped napkins of our table, paper ones I may add and at 10.10 proceeded to inform us he was going off shift...not sure if he was hanging around for his tip but the very nice night porter saw us off the premises after we paid the extortionate bill. very over priced. Mark's out of 10...2
Nice quiet venue with nice atmosphere and decent food. Staff efficient but could’ve been more personable.
Great place to eat and very comfortable. The Chef is very good and all meals were excellent.
lovely meal, great service and friendly atmosphere
