11 Brasserie @ No 11 is located within the discreet luxury of a historically significant, Edinburgh Georgian Town House, this award winning restaurant, displays a menu that exhibits some of Scotland's finest produce, infused with flavors that reflect Scotland's stunning natural landscape. The Head Chef, Stevie, has received a AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence -Food that literally looks as good as it tastes! There can be no better local dining experience.

The Brasserie is located on the ground floor and seats around 30 diners.
It serves Breakfast (8:00 til 10:00) & Dinner (17:00 to 20:30 Last Orders) everyday, Lunch (12 noon til 15.30) everyday.


Our menus focus on home made dishes, using tasty, fresh produce from artisan suppliers. We serve a variety of portion sizes, taking into account the different appetites of our guests and visitors.


A selection of alcoholic beverages is available including spirits, bottled beers and an extensive wine list.

    My friends and I are foodies and loved the 6 course tasting experience! Delicious, creative and fresh presentation. The wine pairing was amazing. A wonderful celebration for the last night of our vacation.

    This was one of the best meals I have ever had. The wine was sensational. The staff were very attentive and made sure I enjoyed my experience. This is a must do in Edinburgh. I might go back for a second meal tonight.

    It’s hard to believe there is a better restaurant in Edinburgh. The food was fantastic, including presentation. This was Michelin star standard of cuisine, in my view, at a very reasonable price. The wine list was also excellent. The staff were very hospitable and professional and the dining room very stylish and intimate. A great find for a visitor to Edinburgh and a real treat for any foodie. I will definitely be back!

    Let's face it. Quality comes at a price but in this case...... well worth the expense. Food was utterly delicious staff attentive and engaging without being overbearing. Taster menu was exquisite and thoroughly recommended.

    The food was amazing. The drinks complemented the food perfectly. The service was flawless. The venue is very classy yet intimate. It’s quite expensive, but worth every penny. Cannot fault anything.

    The food was clever and outstanding . Service and value for money very good.The drinks to accompany the menu went very well. Ambience good but very quiet due to we were the only ones in restaurant at this time. We would definitely return to eat again

    The food was excellent and the dessert was particularly good. The waitress was extremely nice and was very attentive. I'd highly recommend the restaurant to others.

    We want for the spring menu and the food was brilliant, tasty and well presented. Beautiful piece of beef and the larget languishing I've had in Edinburgh. Lovely room and great service!

    A fantastic tasting menu and matching drinks. The food was delicious and paired really well with the drinks. We loved the spectacle of the presentation as well. Would highly recommend.

    What a wonderful meal. We chose from the 2 course menu. Delicious. Couldn't fault it absolutely stunning food and so beautifully presented. Decent bottle of wine too at a super price. Our compliments to Stephen the chef....outstanding

    Came for the Mother’s Day lunch and the food was exceptional! The dining room is small so not much atmosphere but may be livelier in the evenings. I’d definitely return and recommend to friends.

    Mixed review. Food was excellent. Tasty and imaginative. Clearly a very talented and creative chef. Not really a 6 course tasting menu, more a 4 course meal with an amuse bouche and a sorbet, Waiter was attentive and knowledgeable - advised changes to the wine pairing and recognised that the amuse bouche would be too spicy for me so asked the chef to make an alternative which was delicious. Two big negatives. Service was rushed and staff cleared and laid tables for breakfast around us even though it was not yet 21.30. Noisy and spoilt the meal. We were the last diners on a Sunday night and it felt like everyone wanted to go home. This chef needs a proper restaurant where he can showcase his food and people can enjoy the whole experience, not a hotel restaurant, which doubles up as a bar for residents and where hotel business seems to take priority over the dining experience.

    Food was fantastic, service was efficient and friendly, great value for money for the two course lunch. Definitely be back. Chef just needs to watch the seasoning, salt was just on the right side of okay, but didn’t detract from the great cooking.

    Was a lovely dinner. Staff tried very hard and were great but sometimes staff a little nosy in the background and could have maybe waiting until we left to set up breakfast and that was quite nosey.

    Food was excellent but we ate in what can only be described as a corridor. Guests being taken to rooms and cleaning staff passing with mops and other cleaning equipment did not add to the experience. Despite raising concerns with staff via this app no response received so don't get your hopes up on having any issues dealt with. I feel sorry for the chef who obviously did his best. Pity the management has been left wanting!!

    We informed them of a shellfish allergy. The fish course arrived in a shell surrounded by mussel shells and dry ice!! When we politely complained we were told that the shells had been washed !! Not good at all!! The manager couldn’t have cared less.

They were seperate from the food served to you and no part of your dish contained shell fish. No11 listens to customers and takes any dietary requirement very seriously.

    Tasty food but tiny portions. Had to get a carry-out on the way home. White Wine was served warm. Not great value for money. Staff friendly although a bit awkward. Not greeted at the door in a warm way and waitress was forgetful. Standards have slipped since our last visit. Overall, a fine experience.

    Poor reception The receptionist saw us arrive through the door but instead of acknowledging us, she took a phone call and proceeded to make a booking We walked to the door of the dining room and the waitress had no knowledge of our booking- even though I had responded to an email the day before to confirm that we were attending I had visited the restaurant website on the previous day to view the menus I understood there were 2 menus of 2-3 courses , one of which was festive fayre But only the festive fayre menu was available with no exceptions Luckily we were able to choose something and all our courses were excellent - thankfully Overall it worked out well but not quite the experience we expected We had visited before in June and it was a wonderful experience and we thought we had found a little gem Sadly- Unlikely to return

    Highly recommend! The staff were extremely attentive and went the extra mile to make our afternoon tea a lovely experience. They did not try to make us order one for each of the children in our party, knowing we wouldn't need it. Extremely good value for money and a very nice setting.

    Good was amazing, just small portions as they are from the taster menu. So I’d recommend three courses not two. Service was fabulous. My only complaint is the tables were close together so private conversation is impossible! However we made friends with the table next to us

    Tasting menu with wine pairing is very highly recommended. Very appealing food on the plate (and some courses appear through the 'smoke' screen of dry ice for extra drama), and very tasty amuse-bouche, palate cleansing sorbets breaking up the courses. Slightly dry/marginally overcooked turkey course and fish course were brightened by the accompanying crisp white wines. Delicious duck course was met firmly by the very acidic and fruity US Napa Valley Merlot; re-checking the menu online today, I see it's changed already, so my advice is; Definitely go and try No.11 Brasserie. It won't disappoint.
