Lovely decor and ambiance. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection but a quite bland for my taste buds. Portions was good. The cheesecake was very disappointing and tasteless. Very welcoming staff.

Food was very good. Not a great choice for vegans but chef did suggest a few options available. We were the only ones eating - I am guessing because it is very expensive ! Music was really not my cup of tea.

What a lovely restaurant. Friendly, welcoming staff and the food was excellent. Sunday roast pork belly and the beef was delicious and our waitress Twinkle really was a ray of sunshine. She helped to make our Birthday extra special, as did the lovely front of house lady (sorry her name escapes me) who reserved us a nice quiet table. We were treated like royalty from start to finish. Thank you!

I had a lovely dinner with my cousins. We very much enjoyed the seating, the food, the service and the care, taken with food intolerances, offering nice alternatives. The wait staff were very friendly.

Overall disappointed, was not happy with the choice on the menu being different to online, then was disappointed by the main course, when you order a steak medium rare and it comes out well done it’s never ideal, cocktails were bland and another disappointment, then desert was just as poor, wouldn’t recommend and the staff were not particularly helpful apart from one lady but cannot remember her name

Father's Day was made very special by the staff at 1269. We enjoyed the 3 course meal which included a glass of wine or beer. The staff were extraordinarily attentive and the food was beautifully presented and prepared. The roast (including vegetables) was delicious and the Yorkshire pudding spectacular. We will definitely return to sample some of the dishes we saw being served at other tables.

This was our first return visit to this restaurant for many years. We found the menus confusing in that we had opted for a set menu, however, there was no information on what the menu was offering, so impossible to choose. We chose to use the al a. carte menu which was rather limited. I has the veggie burger which I found to be inedible and was burnt and I sent it back. I was not charged for this which was correct. I did not like the ambience of this restaurant, thought the tables very small and there was no room for the dishes. We will not be returning.

We usually visit at least once every two/three weeks. This occasion the food was of a very poor standard, over cooked chicken. Under cooked chicken. Salads for the kids non edible. Not an enjoyable experience.

Very disappointing. I booked the restaurant as the menu looked really nice. We were given a menu that was totally different, it was basically overpriced poor pub food. When we were arrived we were sort of greeted by a miserable looking lady wearing a Christmas hat, she then ignored us and answered the phone. then a waiter came and said we could pick any table (the restaurant was empty at lunch time). I asked for some tap water, waited more than 5 minutes for the water and decided we didn't want fish and chips at that price so left without ordering or eating. NOT WHAT WAS ADVERTISED ON OPEN TABLE.

Really enjoyed our meal on New year's eve, we had a steak which was lovely. My only tiny issue is that we felt like the restaurant was understaffed, it was understandably busy day and I think staff could use a bit more help ( e.g had to wait a little bit longer to get our bill) . However considering how busy it was, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

We returned for our 1 year anniversary and sat in the same spot which was very lucky and yet again the restaurant did not disappoint us, food was amazing our waiter was lovely and friendly and to Finish it off with great live music in the background see you for our next anniversary.

Lovely restaurant and food was really lovey, much better than expected! Only thing I thought was odd is no toilet on the first floor where the restaurant and bar are. You have to go down to ground level, reception area. Not too much of a problem normally, but I was with my mother who is 87 and in a wheel chair. Odd to to not have toilet facilities with the bar and restaurant...

Our booking was made for the restaurant at 2045. When we arrived we were advised we wouldn't be seated in the restaurant and would have to sit in the bar. This was due to the kitchen closing early. We were not given any advise this would be the case prior to arrival. We were rushed in the bar, asked if we wanted our starters with our main??? Why would we! We ordered a bottle of prosecco, which we had to open ourselves...our starts came and we hadn't even been brought our cutlery. It was so rushed and we weren't offered dessert. All this was because of extraordinary circumstances...aka staff halloween party! We all have to let our hair down but the very least, guests could have been advised ahead of time this was the case and the guests that did still dine could have had better more friendly service rather being preoccupied on the excitement of the Halloween party to follow!

End to 1269 for my birthday dinner with the girls, we were staying at the Crowne Plaza. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner the staff were lovely, dinner was 10/10 and they even prepared a complimentary birthday desert Will definitely recommend both 1269 restaurant and the Crowne Plaza Spa and Hotel

Afternoon tea. Not very good this time. Was amazing in March 22. This time the menu was different, the scones were dry/hard, soft drink option was not included if you didn’t want tea/coffee, the service was non existent, the sandwiches were dry/hard, some of sweets were inedible. Would not recommend this time.
