Very good. Waiters were extremely attentive
The food was great !Thanks to Antonio , our lovely waiter who
Made my bday dinner so special! My friends and I enjoyed everything! 5 stars ! Highly recommended!
we waiting 25minutes for our drinks and 15minutes of those was waiting to be asked what we wanted. The front of house was very polite on arrival however a couple of female waitresses thought they was better than us. Also like to point out you should let people no you are a cashless restaurant as nothing was said till we wanted to pay half our bill in cash and half on a card. They lady was very rude and said it states on the table which I replied to say it doesn’t it only states we now offer apple pay and contactless therefore implying you never used to not stating that’s the only method of payment. But we didn’t have a problem with it we was police and she was unnecessarily rude.
Great place, great ambience, great hosts. Thank you for a great time.
Beautifully decorated for Christmas - such an amazing experience. Service was wonderful and food was so yummy!!
We went here to celebrate our engagement. It was an okay restaurant but not worth the price. Also, I had put down in my booking that we were celebrating our engagement, this wasn’t acknowledged. We were also rushed to choose our meals because of the 2 hour time limit on our table (this was 20 min into us being seated).
I personally wouldn’t come here again.
It was our 1st time at 14 Hills and took advantage of a Brunch offer, overall good value with generous portions for the price, drinks and wine had good selection and were reasonably priced.
Positives;
Comfortable seats, nice furniture & great decoration, very sensible table spacing and COVID guidelines being very carefully followed so we felt safe & comfortable.
I was pleased to be offered decanting by the sommelier for the wine choice which greatly benefited from more air despite being modestly priced, showing good knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile.
Really enjoyed it here loved the decor and would certainly return.
Daughters 18th . Waiter really made her feel special , Thankyou . Did ask to seat in booth but advised only for 5 people ......20mins later there were 4 people sitting there .....
First of all, we had asked in advance for a table with a view for our Birthday celebration. We didn't get one and we couldn't see any skyline from our table. Couldn't tell you if we were high up or not. The starters went down well and were really tasty. But, things went downwards when we watched our mains being sent to every other table but ours! By the time we received our food it was cold. We told the staff and got a discount off the food bill which we were thankful for, but it's left us with a bitter aftertaste. Ruined the Birthday experience.
The setting is beautiful.I sat by the table next to the window with the lovely view of London at night.Highly recommend this place! Good food, setting, service & staff.Thank you for enjoyable night.
Amazing place, very cozy atmosphere with a delicious food!
Very nice evening, Food was well presented, service was very attentive, we really enjoyed ourselves me and my partner😀
Had a lovely anniversary meal with my husband, such a gorgeous restuarant with great food and cocktails. Would definately recommend.
Poor service, average food. Extremely pricy, excellent ambience and venue.
Really great. Friendly but professional service. All perfect
Wasn’t really impressed by the food menu every limited choice if you don’t eat sea food but everything else was lovely.
Beautiful decor and excellent service
Food was not fresh and this has caused a very bad stomach issues for the next couple of days for me and my girlfriend
I wouldn’t recommend this place for food. Definitely not worth the price you are paying for. We’ve booked dinner for a special occasion, ordered different meals such as the 2 risottos (pumpkin and truffle) the bavette steak and the burrata and all of us left very disappointed.
The risottos were exactly the same, just plain white base rice, one with some truffle on top and the other with some pumpkin on top for decoration. Very disappointing couple of plates for £23/25 as you could barely taste any of the ingredients. The bavette steak from the set menu was very average and the rose sparkling wine included in the set menu wasn’t good. So if you get the set menu for £40 you will have to spend another £10 min for a decent wine glass.
I have to mention though that the atmosphere of the place is very nice. Maybe visit again for a cocktail only
I was expecting the October festival menu to be available and this is not clear on website that it is only available at certain times of the week. Also, was overcharged on the kids menu. Service was mediocre for price paid. Much better value at some Michelin star establishments. Quite disappointed to be honest despite the lovely setting.
It was amazing. The customer services was great and the views are amazing
The ambience was great, also beautiful location. The food nicely served, fresh and tasty. We went for the set menu and surprisingly the quality, compared to the price, was excellent. Shame, the service was extremely inefficient. We were left waiting for ordering our drinks more than 20 minutes. The staff seemed to be on another planet. The welcoming hostesses appeared more like bored nurses waiting to take our temperature. The sommelier looked like the ‘joie de vivre’ had abandoned him even before he was born. I would go back for the food and the location, but definetely not for the staff. Pity.
A lovely evening with exceptional service. 14 Hills catered to my allergies were friendly, helpful and observant being very clear on what I could and could not eat. The venue was beautiful with a vue of the Shard from our table near the window.
14 Hills is a gorgeous restaurant and a very convenient location for me as I get the C2C. We did the Back to Work menu which was of outstanding price - every course was fantastic & succulent. The only reason I marked Value as being good because I don’t think I’d return for the full price menu... it is too overpriced for me. Definitely grab the Back to Work menu while you can though, actually amazing.
14 Hills is the perfect example of how mediocre service and a bad attitude can ruin the entire restaurants experience.
I booked 14 Hills with high hopes based upon photos, ambiance description and recommendations from several “Best Brunch” columns only to be greatly let down.
My reservation was for 5 on Sunday for brunch, in celebration of a special occasion. From start to finish the entire experience was off, less than average service for a restaurant at this level.
As soon as we were seated, we were met with an unwelcoming, cold and negative- too good for you attitude from our waiter. He was very unwilling to explain the menu or provide suggestions as to possible substitutions as we do not eat pork. When asked if it’s possible for bacon to be removed from one of the menu selections, he displayed an attitude, became very resistant to help with suggestions to accommodate our dietary preferences. His abrasive, cold attitude made our strict 2 hr time slot on the table to be quite tense and really unenjoyable.
As our time at the restaurant progressed our waiters level of care and attentiveness declined, when we kindly brought this issue to a managers attention it was then that we understood why most of the staff we encountered had a nonchalant, cold attitude as she displayed the exact same carelessness.
It’s a shame really, this restaurant has so much potential to be great yet at the hands of the staff it’s really falling short!
I would recommend 14 Hills on a normal day but during COVID-19 I won’t bother due to lack of service. This was a dinner for my cousins birthday, we booked for 4 people at 8pm. Immediately we were rushed to order with a limited menu as they had ran out of a few items. We had to request to order drinks from 4 different waiters. We had to get the manager involved who was apologetic and did not charge us for the drinks. My cousins visited 14 Hills prior to this dinner and was served bigger portions with the sea bass, seems like the divided the sea bass this tome round. I will try 14 Hills again next year.
The service was great, staff very personable and attentive.
Food was outstanding, thoroughly enjoyed it!
Our server Sara was fantastic. Very helpful and great at communicating
with customers.
Excellent service and Covid secure. We enjoy the brunch options and opted for 3 courses. All the food was tasty and well presented.
Fantastic food and great service, thank you!
It was an amazing evening, the staff were very friendly and the venue was incredible. Unfortunately, the food was not that great, it was very bland. The plaice was served on bone and tasteless, and the steak was very average.
It’s so lovely here, the staff were so great and attentive! I had a wonderful evening, it’s very safe for COVID too, there are plastic shields between each table and hand sanitizer stations. The views are insane as well especially when it’s still light out. I would definitely come back here!
A lovely venue, with great choice of food, great service and cool decor.
Me and my girlfriend loved this place! Lovely food and cocktails! Will definitely be returning
The staff were really welcoming, kind and friendly.
The food was lovely especially the custard tart desert.
Food was delicious, although we were seated in a section of the restaurant with no other tables and it felt like our server neglected us. For the price I expect better service but the food was great nonetheless.
Great location, food and service
Ambience and location is amazing. Great place for drinks, but food was disappointing, had to send a meal back unfortunately.
The staff were positively welcoming.
The three course meal was very much worth it.
They had a little surprise for our special occasion and it was rather a very nice gesture.
We’ll definitely come back.
