Not as great as I was expecting it to be. It’s just a local restaurant which is run poorly with decent food. The starters are better than the main. My wife ordered butter chicken from the menu which stated with bone, arrived with no bone and the guy serving us was pretty much like tuff luck. However the lady serving us later was very kind a rectified the issue.
We had a lovely evening, the food was the beat we had all tasted, the staff were friendly, so polite and made us very welcome. We could not have wanted any better.
Lovely food, great service and very reasonably priced
Food was amazing and staff were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately we ended up waiting 45 minutes for a starter which never turned up and then our mains came straight away. Sad about the starter as it looked good and far too long for the mains to be ready.
The food was really nice :)
They can improve on customer service. They were too busy talking to each other rather then serving customers.
A superb meal with outstanding service.
Just a short walk from Chester Rd station. It's definitely worth the short trio on the train from Brum to get an authentic meal.
Plus the people who run it are charming.
Excellent food and service
All in all it was the best curry I have ever had .. Will definitely be going back very soon
Excellent Food/Service and Value!!
Having been to many expensive and 5 star restaurants in the past but not really enjoying authentic indian food from any. We tried 1580 two weeks ago, as a takeaway, and the food was simply amazing. We followed this up yesterday with a visit to the restaurant and the food was delicious again. The service was fantastic and to top it all off, the value for money is great!
This was my 2nd time at 1580. The staff immediately recognised me, which was impressive. This is not your usual curry house, indeed there were things on the menu that I've never seen in a curry house before, such as pork & game.
The food was very tasty and reasonable value.
The only slight downside is the location, which is a bit off the beaten track. However it's well worth seeking out. I will return.
