16 ON THE PARK
The food at every step will complement the area, the beverage offerings, and the venue with fresh, composed, and distinct options for a bite after work, a special event, or an introduction to the new area from visitors near and far. A signature oyster bar is situated at the entrance of the Rooftop Bar and Grill and pays homage to all that the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding areas have to offer.
This is a great restaurant unfortunately we had a few mishaps today that were quite disappointing, however the food and service what great and I will return once again! I believe in second chances. They just had so.e organizational mishaps today.
It is always a great experience there. Thank you so much!
Lovely location in hotel with outside area. High ceilings with hard floor make it a noisy space with only a few people. Service from staff was excellent. Food was late arriving, appetizer and entree arrived at the same time one dish was cold and another over cooked. Wine and other drink excellent.
First time visitor. The appetizers took a long time to come out. I ordered chicken wings and crab cake sliders. If the wait for food is more than 20 minutes, they should inform the guest. The main course came out right after the food and I didn’t have an appetite to eat it because I was still eating the appetizer. Food was very very very delicious. For the main course I got the salmon BLT and the shrimp and crab Alfredo. I was surprised to see children running around. Overall for the experience I’d give it a B.
First timer def will be returning😉loved the atmosphere. Got a little loud later in the evening when it was more crowded.
This was not AT ALL what I envisioned of a rooftop restaurant that came highly recommended. It was way too noisy. I requested a table outside but when I arrived I was advised the outdoor patio would be closed due to the ‘possible’ upcoming storm. There were way too many staff associates just hanging around but the bartender not sure of her name was extremely nice & welcoming. My Brussels sprouts came out scorched and the wine tasted watered down. Yes, it was house wine & $5 for happy hour so I should’ve passed on it because it gave me a headache. The menu was limited which would have been ok but between the noise level, the cheap wine & burnt appetizer we gave up & chose to go elsewhere. Maybe it’s good for out of town hotel guest or happy hour for those that work in the vicinity but I won’t return. Maybe my expectations were too high......so I’ll pass! And let me add....the description of the view is what made us decide to want to try this place. What a joke!!!! Metal towers in which steam escapes off the top of a building...hardly what I call a view of the skyline. It’s safe to say I won’t be returning!
I work in The School of Public Health building and we frequent happy hour. My favorite place right now.
The service was great and I loved the food. Beautiful scenery I’m glad I had my birthday dinner there
My first time here food and service was excellent i will be returning
Great service great food friendly environment wonderful scene will be coming back real soon
The overall experience was okay. As an Event Coordinator for Coppin State University, my position is services. From my arrival to campus, the process to get to the restaurant was an issue. The elevator would not go to Level P without a badge however no one was in place to provide that service.
Once I reached the restaurant I had to greet the host and that should never be the case. The host is the front line of your establishment, their appearance and demeanor is critical to the experience for guests; they set the stage. I had major issues with their attire. 16 on the Park is listed online as a 4 star restaurant. I would say that is a not accurate. One host had on jeans and a green t-shirt and the other had on jeans and a random top. Most 4 - 5 star restaurants require all black attire or some form of a uniform. Once seated the waiter did not bring water. I had to ask him for waters all the way around the table. Once the food was ordered it took 25 minutes for items to come out. Once they arrived the Shrimp and Crab Alfredo was more like mac and cheese with seafood on top. The consistency of the crab dip was of water. Overall based upon this last experience I would not recommend this location. I am suggesting change of management or retraining for the front of the house. Back of the house requires adjustments to cooking technics and or possible menu changes. Also a dress code for guests
should be put in place.
Tried something new for our Anniversary this year. Amazing little place in the part of @Baltimore you don’t hear about on the news. Great food, ambiance and service. Our hostess Aaliyah was the best. I even commented to the mgr because so often they only hear the bad news. Can’t wait to go there again...... #16onthepark
Excellent service. The food was outstanding. The crabcakes sliders were awesome. The wings were flavorful and tasty.
Everything is always superb at 16 on the Park. JHTV uses them quite regularly and we like them a lot.
Awesome views from the rooftop deck Love love he outdoor seating options. Food is affordable and delicious.
Great Ambiance and the drinks were very well made. It would have been great if the television was on outside on the patio, but other than that, it was a nice place.
Amazing seafood to pasta ratio! The crab dip was pretty good too (very filling)! Our waitress Juliana was great! I randomly thought to go to a local spot in my backyard and check the place out and will definitely be back again, and very soon! Whewwwwww
Decent price point too considering how much food you get, and the view is very nice. I wonder what it looks like at night!
We went to 16 on the Park before attending an event in the city. First, the menu online is outdated. The restaurant looked more like a hospital cafeteria than a restaurant. The food was bland and unseasoned and the service was terrible. We got our food before we got our drinks. The manager was accommodating and apologetic but I’d never patronize this establishment again. Not even if the food was free.
All of the food was great! We shared several appetizers (Deviled eggs, Brussels sprouts, crab dip) and two people had the shrimp and crab Alfredo and the rest of us ordered more crab dip a d Brussels sprouts. Service was very slow but we spent our time talking so it wasn’t too bad to us. However it wasnt busy at all so I’m not sure why things were moving so slow. Will definitely come back!
Love the service and the food was awesome!! Not too pricey.
Our server was AMAZING!!! Emmanuel made sure that he was very transparent about the food and even met our needs as we were a little picky about the way we wanted our food cook. The ambiance we calm and serene. Will definitely be going back.
Had a great time, service and food were top notch. Thank you Dawn for making our dining experience great
Beautiful rooftop views and nice outdoor seating. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks, service is slow. We had an 8pm reservation and as the night got a little later guests were dressed in club attire. Didn't like that vibe. Food was fine.
This place is nothing but poor service and the staff look dirty and unprofessional. We waited 30 mins for drinks to only get the wrong drink. The appetizers came out 15 mins later after the drinks and they tasted poorly like they just threw it together . Me and my guest decided to not wait anymore and we left. Never again!
I stayed overnight at the Residence Inn at the Johns Hopkins Medical Campus because I had outpatient surgery early the next morning. The hotel was new and marvelous; the rooftop restaurant was not. I ably chose to eat there because it was convenient. Never again.
To sample the food I ordered three appetizers plus s vegetable side dish. The Maryland crab soup never came, which tells all regarding the service level. But, considering how bad the other dishes were, they probably did me a favor.
The best appetizer was the crab sliders, which were borderline good. The problem was they were dry and bland tasting. Some Old Bay spice would have helped and possibly some red cocktail spice. But really, one should not have to doctor up a chef’s mistakes.
I also tried the fish tacos, which were downright bad. The fish was deep fried, dry and tasteless. The two fillets were served on small tortillas so one could not wrap the tortillas around the fish and eat them by hand. I have eaten fish tacos on both coasts plus in Chicago. This was the worst - worse than those served in fast food restaurants like District Taco in DC.
Lastly, I tried the grilled Brussels sprouts, which received high grades from some reviewers. One forkful was enough. Nothing there to write home about.
I thin it is shameful that Marriott would build such a nice hotel in a needed location but then serve crap food in its only restaurant. The management should be replaced.
I surprised my husband with this restaurant on daye night, we loved everything on the happy hour menu. We plan to come back again!!!! Great prices!!!
The view is amazing! Very friendly staff from the waitress to the manager. Brussels were AMAZING!!
Absolutely loved the dining experience on the rooftop of 16 on the Park. It was beautiful, food was delicious and the orange crush was amazing!
OMG! I hope this beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views atop a Marriott was having an off day. Hubby and I ate here for lunch. With hardly anyone in the restaurant, we heeded the sign that said to wait for the hostess to be seated. Problem is, no hostess ever came. Wait staff was walking back & forth, but no one addressed us. After about 15 min. we were told to seat ourselves. Waited an unacceptable amount of time to order. Both ordered the Cobb salad with lump crab meat. Nice portion of salad, but the crab meat was minuscule & tasteless. Went I went to the restroom, the hostess sign was still there! I asked to speak to a manager, but none could be found. To her credit, the server did remove the cost of the beer from the bill. Still, we’d rather have had good service and good food. If our experience is any indication, this appears to be a poorly run restaurant. As previously stated, I hope this was just an off day.
Nice atmosphere, my Server Joy was amazing and accommodating. The food was just okay and for the price it could be a lot better.
The view totally makes everything worth it!
We had a really great waitress! I forget her name but she was very down to earth. She recommended great drinks and she was a great photographer for me and my boyfriend! I really wish I knew her name and I hope she sees this message! She had blonde dreads which were beautiful!! We definitely will come back just for her to be our waitress!
My overall experience was awesome my waitress Tamara was amazing although it took about 15mins for our table to be serviced after we was seated. The manager on duty that night was rude to my boyfriend over a chair but other than that it was a VERY nice restaurant and I have already recommend to other friends.
I have been to this restaurant before, and had a good experience, but this current visit was awful. The place was packed so I think that the staff struggled to keep up. Our waited was the issue....I know he was trying, but he forgot our drinks and then after wait 45 minutes for food he came and told us there was a glitch and our food never made it to the kitchen through the system. We strongly believe he forgot to enter it in. At that point we said to make the food "to go" because we wouldn't have time to eat. When he spoke with the manager we were only given 25% off the bill. If you ask me, it should have been free! I will return in the future, but if it appears crowded, I will turn around, leave, and find another place to go!
There was a very long wait time to get drinks, food, and appetizers with no explanation. Once the main courses arrived, 2 of them (both crab and shrimp alfredo) were cold. Otherwise, the drinks were great, the crab dip appetizer was amazing, and the view on the rooftop is incredible, but everything else was sub-par.
So, I heard about this rooftop bar. I wanted a seat near the window none were available. Our waiter seemed alittle "off". My husband had to repeat to him bring me water ..he only brought one. He was lingering almost hovering near our table doing nothing. My drink was made incorrectly I asked for sugar rim , it had salt. The bartender apologized. My crab cake sliders had shells. The rudest thing for my husband and I was when we got our check the waiter waited until we pulled out our credit card and again while I was signing . We had no privacy or a moment to discuss. I have never had a waiter do that. It was uncomfortable and wierd.
The scene and view is the city was probably the best part of this date night! The food was meh we order the crab deviled eggs which were decent... I order crabcakes for my entree which I’m from Maryland so I expected better, the meat was gummy. My husband order shrimp and crab Alfredo and stated it tasted like a frozen dinner, when u tasted it I was highly disappointed as well. The young lady who was our server which I still don’t know her name because she didn’t tell us seemed as tho she didn’t like her job, speaking very low and unfriendly. We heard great things about this restaurant so u was quite surprised, we likely won’t return!
I love the scenery was outstanding and the staff was wonderful! Rynell Jones is outstanding!
I was celebrating my 50th Birthday with family on the outside patio. It's a Beautiful place, the food was good. The Server was nice, she was an older lady. The prices weren't bad. One thing my cousins pasta did come out cold & it was a very small portion, so she had them to take back to heat up, she didn't care about the portion size but the cook did add more pasta & heated it up good. I have a couple suggestions, you all should expand your Menu a bit more, also for Vegetarians & Vegans, also we were there to watch sunset & it get dark. A bit more lightning outside would be great as well. All in all my 1st experience was great, we all walked away pleased!
Wanted to try something different and it was worth it
The food and drinks were great, it just took forever to get it.!! The service was horrible. Ambiance was amazing, it was the best part of the experience. Unless they get new management/owners I will not return.
