The food, ambiance, and wine selection were all spectacular. I would definitely recommend to a friend, and I hope to go back again!
Food was delicious. Very busy night should have had more servers. The creme brule custard could have been colder.
The atmosphere was great, wonderful food, great drinks. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t great. Our waitress was so-so and the staff at the front desk was almost comically rude. I didn’t say a word, but my husband also noticed. We laughed on the ride home about how rude the young ladies at the front desk were. They were almost sarcastic. We’re still pretty young, definitely not old and stuffy customers. Those girls really need a lesson in hospitality and manners.
Delicious, innovative food and great service! Loved it!
Great food, service and ambiance. Just 1 1/4 hours from Rochester.
Food and service was excellent!
Great food and service. Attractive and comfortable setting. Well done all!
The service was incredible and Tammy our server was a pro. Our meal from appetizer to main course was delicious. It was great way to celebrate a birthday! The only thing I'd change is for the restaurant to lose the canned and loud lame violin cover muzak.
Both the food and the setting were outstanding. From the appetizers to the main course the food left you wanting more. Krissy was our waitress and was both professional and personable. She explained everything well and gave us enough time and space that we didn’t feel rushed but we never had to find her to ask for something....she always sensed it and was right there
We had dinner and then breakfast at 1833 Kitchen & Bar. The meal was great, but it would be unfair to just consider the meal - as the restaurant is just one prong of a multi-faceted renovation and restoration project that is the Aurora Inn and its sister inns in the town of Aurora, all under common ownership. Each property is more meticulously restored and maintained than the next. A visit to Aurora would be a highlight of any trip you might be planning.
We enjoyed a very nice day in Aurora and we ate at the Inn. We were greeted warmly, felt very welcome and the hostess steered us to a cozy table for two. Our waitress was wonderful also. The only very small matter was the bar. We were there early and didn’t feel quite as welcome by the bartender but I realize not everyone is having a great day. It turned out fine.
Excellent food and service. We mentioned earlier in the day at the bar that we were celebrating my husbands retirement.. Later at dinner, the waitress showed up with a glass of champagne for e@ch of us to celebrate. Very thoughtful.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at the 1833 Kitchen & Bar. The ambiance and view of the grounds and lake were spectacular. The food and service were excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy a pleasant dining experience on Lake Cayuga.
Wonderful meal from salad to dessert. Beautiful views of Cayuga Lake.
Very comfortable dining room. Welcoming staff and service. Flatware was placed directly on tabletop which was wiped off with same cloth used to wipe seats etc. . Straws for water were unwrapped and plastic(not paper) and handled by waitress. Great restaurant but needs to attend to possible unsanitary concerns.
We had lunch and breakfast at the restaurant and both were wonderful. Delicious food, great staff and a beautiful view of the lake. I highly recommend the restaurant!
Never disappoints!! We got married here and come back each year for our anniversary dinner. Food is fresh and delicious!!! Ambiance is second to none in the evening on the deck overlooking the lake watching the sunset. I don’t know if you can get a better restaurant experience anywhere in Upstate NY.
The hostess was great, telling us that there were bees outside.
The server had a strange demeanor and her appearance was somewhat sloppy.
I had a cobb salad thst was limp and tasteless.
Attentive staff, lovely setting and delicious food. The plethora bees didn’t bother us and we didn’t bother them😊
Ben, and Katie our server, were amazing!
The tenderloin was cooked to perfection!
What a perfect evening.
We had to move inside on this beautiful day because yellow jackets were all over the terrace. It would be nice if management could do something about that. Enjoyed our brunch at a nice window table though, food was fine, service was good. Nice place to drive to on a sunny day.
Brunch was lovely. Food delicious, service very attentive and pleasant. Ambience was very nice but the noise level a bit high. The yellow jacket bees were quite a nuisance and a bit distracting. A bit of a concern as my FIL is deathly allergic to them. Overall a very nice time. We will come again.
AMAZING brunch out on the deck!! Stunning views of the lake. Fabulous staff. Exceptional food! The crab cakes benedict was the best I’ve ever had! Kudos to the chef.
Wonderful experience and can’t wait until our next visit.
I' ve never had a bad meal at the Inn. We used to go consistently but haven't been for at least a year. We went back for the first time in a year or so the other night. First time since the change to the dining room. Lots of old standbys on the menu and some change ups, especially the specials, that was nice. The managers there, especially Erin, are not just knowledgeable and professional, they are lovely people as well. Everyone there seems so happy to be doing what they do, it makes the experience so much more memorable.
Enjoyed our Dinner in the dining room and Lunch on the patio. The food was fabulous and the service was excellent. We would highly recommend to visit here.
A great lunch overlooking Cayuga Lake starting with complimentary champagne (it was our 35th wedding anniversary) with a bloody mary and blueberry margarita next. I had the crab cake benedict and my wife had the chicken wrap. We finished with coffee and shared a hot fudge sundae. It was a delightful brunch!
Beautiful ambience on the deck, but the DJ and music at the wedding below was intrusive!
Great spot for a special occasion meal. Service is excellent and food is outstanding. Thursday night wine specials make the wide selection more affordable. Always enjoyable, as one of the best restaurants in the Central NY region.
Excellent food and service. Our wait staff was prompt without being intrusive. Food choices were divine.
Everything was wonderful, for the most part. Because of the weather we had to eat indoors, which was fine. But there was a table where a male was speaking pretty loudly...it was a bit disruptive. Also, we were done with our meal waiting for the waitress to either bring a dessert menu or to tell us what was available. We all remembered having a wonderful dessert the last time we were there. She did neither....she just brought us our checks. We were disappointed in that. But I must say all of our meals were wonderful, as usual!
What a wonderful way to celebrate our 1st anniversary! We sat outside on the beautiful terrace - overlooking the lake; it was exquisite! Great service. The appetizer of stuffed dates and the salad with vanilla ricotta were amazing! Couldn't have asked for a better experience!
My wife and I dined here on Saturday before going to see South Pacific at Merry Go Round theatre and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Our server was extremely helpful in assisting my wife with her food allergies (gluten & dairy). In fact, my wife was even able to enjoy having both bread & dessert - something that rarely happens. Can’t say enough positive things about our experience.
Wonderful food. Beautiful setting. What more can you ask food.
We had a beautiful dinner outdoors while regaling in the perfect sunset. There was a band playing downstairs but it wasn't too loud to interfere with our dining. The wine list is outstanding, we just had wine by the glass. For starters we had a cheese and meat plate that was excellent with the wine. For an entree I had the gnudi with puttanesca sauce which was delicious. The artichokes, capers and olives were perfectly incorporated into the sauce. The bone in pork chop was tender, very flavorful and highly recommended. We had no room for dessert.
Our lunch was very nice. Requested an outside table since it was a beautiful summer day. Perfect weather under umbrella overlooking Cayuga Lake. Food was excellent. Salads nice and crisp and handmade chocolate brownie ice cream was a fabulous finish for a great lunch.
Great food, wonderful staff
Relaxing with enjoyable view.
Loved the stuffed dates and smoked salmon appetizers. The scallops entree was divine, but the pasta bolognese was disappointing - overcooked pasta, not enough meat and meat was not ground. I would definitely not recommend that dish! Otherwise, the inn and dining room are beautiful, the view was lovely and overall it was a great dining experience!
Amazing food and great service!
