Delicious brunch food, beautiful setting overlooking the fingerlakes, delightful historic small town, easy parking on the street, We always love coming back to this wonderful place!
Wonderful meal and wonderful atmosphere
Great waitstaff and excellent food. The Inn is a treasure just down the road!
Very nice brunch with a great lake view. Salmon bagel was tasty and served with excellent fries.
Service was excellent, attentive. Food exceptional.
Excellent dining experience. Food, drinks, service, decor, and lake front views make.for a memorable evening.
We did not have a full meal just wine and seafood chowder. Chowder was very good and the mini dutch ovens used to serve the chowder kept the soup hot all the way to the bottom of the bowl.
It was a lovely way to spend the evening. The staff were so courteous and attentive. The suggestion for wine was great! I can’t say enough great things about the beef tenderloin. Holy crap that blue cheese addition was everything. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Valentine’s Day celebration! The atmosphere and ambiance were lovely and the staff was exceptional! The sommelier and wait staff were very knowledgeable and my wine selections were on the mark. They even presented GF bread which is a rarity. Sadly, every dish was almost good but always flawed to the point of disappointment. My fiancé loved the chowder. The pumpkin risotto served with scallops was also delicious. The pumpkin candy that topped the amuse Bouche was amazing; it’s too bad it was served on a soggy cracker and that we hadn’t even finished it when the first course was served.
Valentine’s Day dinner was great!
Absolutely amazing - from beginning to end!
We will definitely be back!
Enjoyed the breakfast skillet and views. Very quiet, pleasant atmosphere and staff!
It was our first visit to 1833 Kitchen and Bar. The dining room is beautiful with a gorgeous view of Cayuga Lake. We sat at a lake view table on a partially cloudy but relatively bright day. The staff was friendly, service was excellent, and the food was outstanding.
The two best servings of French Toast I’ve ever had were here and at the Plantation Inn in Maui.
We went for valentines! We thought everything was delicious and loved the presentation and service! Def a pricy meal but worth it! We hope to come back over the summer so we can enjoy what is sure to be a beautiful view of the lake. The early evening dark this time of year made it hard to see! Great night!
The food was absolutely delicious and beautiful presentation. The service and atmosphere was romantic and quiet.
The service is superb and not stuffy. The dining room is lovely, casual, two gas fireplaces and a wall of windows facing the lake. The menu is limited--my favorites the charred shishito pepper (get extra bread to enjoy the sauce). The portion is big enough for 2 or 3. I also loved the steak option--served perfectly, with smashed fingerling potatoes, spinach and mushrooms. The frisee salad was surprisingly good with pomegrante ariels, smoked blue cheese, and toasted pecans.
Their house made ice cream was deliciously creamy, esp the salt maple.
Their wine list was very interesting. We have looked at a lot of wine lists and this was one was special--we found two lovely wines, both and a red and a white that we had never heard of before--both French that we would definitely order again.
Waitress Laura was very attentive.
Everyone was masked, tables were immaculate, hand sanitizer available on entry.
It was a lovely evening with good friends and good food.
Great food and lovely dining room. Great service with Ben!
Great venue to experience a wonderful Sunday brunch. Very clean, safe environment...good to see BJ Simmons and excited to hear about the new spa...hope to visit soon.
Table request was not honored NOR was a request for birthday candles.
Service was spotty at best and experience was disappointing.
Went here for my birthday. It was absolutely amazing! All of the staff are friendly and exceed dining expectations. All of The food was wonderful... we ordered pretty much everything on the menu. The Boston seafood chowder and the homemade popcorn ice cream were definitely my favorites.
Great food
Never disappointed
Already have suggested to return with friends! Great view of Cayuga Lake and it was a bright winter's day.
The food, the drinks, the service. All was exquisite at 1833 Kitchen & Bar. Had a thoroughly enjoyable dinner experience here for a special occasion and would gladly return.
Food was yummy. Server was very good and helpful. Sat by the fireplace. Great ambiance.
We went for brunch. Food was delicious. Service was good. View was spectacular. The only criticism is that our table was located less than a foot from another table.
We had brunch, it was great and very tasty.
Dinner was outstanding, best we have had in a long time!
The food was average. It seemed as though they were short a waitress. The host was running around trying to take drink orders and then food orders. Food was not cooked thoroughly as though they rushed it out. Have been here before and it was great so I think a staffing issue.
Our service felt a bit rushed after a table of 6 was seated nearby. Food was very good and we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine as well.
Would have loved to see white linens on the tables for dinner and it's time for a more comfortable chairs as well. Both would enhance the dining experience which is close to excellent but just off a bit. Perhaps a candle on the table as well for dinner? This is a special place and these little touches would help a great deal.
We had a spectacular evening at 1833 Kitchen and Bar! We felt safe and comfortable dining there, as Covid-19 safety precautions were adhered to and enforced, with mask wearing and social distancing. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly host, who was also seen multi-tasking and happily fulfilling a variety of roles in the operation of the restaurant. He offered us our choice of tables, each near a beautiful fireplace, which felt cozy on a blustery winter evening. The menu was very appealing...it was very difficult to make a decision on what to order, because everything sounded great. Fresh ingredients were used in creative combinations to compose colorful and beautiful presentations and delectable, complex flavor profiles. My husband I I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, so we were very happy to receive professional, caring, efficient--yet not hurried--service. We ordered a bottle of wine that was brought to the table promptly, and opened with competence and professionalism. That was followed by the delivery of a warm, fresh loaf of bread with fresh local butter of perfect spreading consistency. I started with the Boston seafood chowder, which was chock full of delicious, fresh seafood in a just-right creamy broth that tasted of the sea...just perfect. My husband enjoyed the fresh Autumn chopped salad with maple vinaigrette that was delightful. For entrees, my husband ordered the duck breast, and I ordered the seared sea scallops...both were amazingly flavorful and perfectly cooked and presented. We had little room for dessert, but ordered anyway...the seasonal fruit crisp was cranberry...baked to order in a very generous individual loaf pan, and local bourbon cinnamon ice cream was unique and tasty. We highly recommend this restaurant, and will definitely return!
Food was good and service was efficient & friendly despite obviously being short staffed. We were seated right outside the swinging kitchen doors and could hear the waitstaff yell “ corner!” each time they went in to the kitchen - kind of like at a diner. I will try this restaurant again as it was pleasant if not inspired or outstanding in any way. The view of the lake is pretty.
We truly enjoyed our meal and the service was delightful! We’ll be back.
One of my favorite places to eat, any time, but especially nice for Sunday brunch. I love everything about the Kitchen and Bar at the Aurora Inn!
This was my fiancée's and mine fourth time dining at this restaurant. We go for the tasty food, great service, quiet atmosphere and warm ambiance. Again we were extremely satisfied, and will plan to dine there again.
There were 3 of us who wanted to experience the fabulousness of Aurora, during this very different but still magical holiday season!! So we made a reservation to tour the Farmhouse at MacKenzie Child’s...FANTASTIC!!!💙
And then we had brunch at the Aurora Inn!!💙
As usual, it was incredible!!
The Garden Skillet, Crab Cakes Benedict, and Applewood Bacon Omelet made their way to our table...along with a mimosa, the Rye Noir and a Stormy Autumn...and everything was...PERFECTION!!!😘😘😘😘😘
Thanks again for the amazing brunch, in such a gorgeous setting...and the sun even came out for us after a rather gloomy start to the day!!😎😎😎
The homemade pasta was the highlight.
Great service.
We had a wonderful meal here. Very quiet time which was great for us during a pandemic. Only two other couples. Food was excellent. Bread, warm and crusty. Along with a salt/caramel butter! the brussels sprouts with pork bellies for an appetizer to die for. We split a pasta Bolognese and a chopped salad. Everything exceeded expectations and the beautiful Christmas tree outdoors created a great ambiance. Great service, too. We'll be back!
Food was simply outstanding !!!
food and service was superb. Our waitress Autumn did a fabulous job. The venue was spotless and bathrooms were in immaculate condition. Reception area was tastefully decorated for the Xmas season.
We had some of the best food we’ve ever eaten for both brunch and dinner. The ambience was perfect, covid precautions were so thorough that I wasn’t nervous at all (I haven’t been in more than 1 restaurant since March due to anxiety over dining in). Everything was well done and we will definitely go back.
