The food was great! The service was amazing! Great view of the city
Lovely food. Building is amazing. Views are fabulous. Give it a try.
The manager had really bad attitude which was disrespectful. The waiters are all really friendly and the view was amazing.
Seems to have gone downhill a little bit, didn’t feel as special as it used to in terms of food selection/quality and service
First time here, great food and fabulous service, along with the outstanding views - we will most certainly be back!
the first time I went was for lunch and it was totally outstanding. We went again on Saturday night with 2 friends on our strong recommendation. We had a booth which was very good for 4 of us. Our waiter did a hard sell (in a very nice way) on the scallops with rissotto for starters which 3 of us had (most expensive thing on the starer menu at £16) ... gorgeous taste but not the big fat scallops he'd promised us so a tad disappointing. Me and my husband then had the Pork 3 way sharing plate (again with a strong push from the waiter) at £55. The belly pork was good, chops were just chops and pig cheeks small on mash potato (not much of it) so any sauce with them was absorbed by the mash . Main problem was there was no sauce so the whole thing was very dry and crying out for a gravy. The accompanying smoked apple sauce was very sweet and again not much for 2 -it certainly didn't compensate for no gravy. I asked for some sauce but not came. Vege - tiny portions - was of course extra. Overall very disappointed with our choice for the price especially as it was recommended. In hindsight we'd have been better off with a choice of the main menu . Our friends had a sirloin steak and rib eye. The waiter desperately tried to persuade them to have the 42oz steak which they didn't want but he just kept trying to to the point of annoyance. the steaks they said were lovely but it was a very very expensive steak and chips! Our bill - with 2 bottles of £32 wine and some beer came to £350.00. To my mind it was not a £350 meal! However, my main problem with the experience was the amount of very excited young people - girls in small groups particularly - up and down the restaurant from the terrace bar to the loos loudly taking endless amounts of selfies. The ladies loo (easy to go into the mens by mistake by the way!!) was totally overrun with them. I'm not old and stuffy but it was just too much for a VERY expensive night out and cheapened the experience for all of us.
Perfect place for cocktails and lunch.
Friendly staff that cant do enough for you.
Fantastic atmosphere with amazing views.
Can not recommend this place enough!
Great cocktails. Fabulous view, amazing wine list.
The food was also delicious and service faultless!
I have been to 20 stories a few times and generally find it fine except for the price in particular the Wine list. I generally have Sauvignon Blanc (cloudy bay) and you charge now £69 approx. I buy that at Majestic wines for £19.95 so feel £50 profit is excessive.
My wife and I dine out minimum every saturday and sunday and look forward to the Opening of The IVY next door to you. I have been to these in London and Dublin, the one in Dublin is Fabulous.
Brilliant service and quality wines to match excellent food.
The Food and service was exalent the view from the roof in the late evening was fantastic the price was a little expensive but the food we had was exalent drinks are very expensive compered to other bars in Manchester
Great views, attentive service and amazing food.
70th birthday one meal came cold but they a
The restaurant is very well styled and we particularly enjoyed the pre-lunch drink outside. The service was excellent and the food even better. Overall my wife and I couldn't fault 20 Stories and we will be back food
The food was good but not outstanding as the prices would indicate. I thought the 12.5% service charge added to the bill was excessive.
Fab setting! Food was good but service let it down
The food was ok. Very expensive for what we ate and had much better quality food and other places for a lot less money. It is a place people want to be seen at rather than go to eat amazing food
Everything was perfect from beginning to end.
Delightful drinks then a warm bread to wet the appetite!
Food was amazing. Extremely tasty, quick and nice and hot.
Ambience was fabulous. Very busy but a good noise level and didn’t feel too crowded despite the popularity early on a Saturday evening!
Our waiter, Mirco, was fabulous. Very friendly and he could not do more to help us. He had an excellent knowledge of the food and drinks menu and we were extremely impressed by his professionalism and friendless.
Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for a gorgeous memory!
Fabulous service. Good food. Great views. Overpriced menu. Poor starter selection (just trying too hard to be different)
Joint 50ths with some pals. Great ambience. Great food great drinks. Loved it
A great night out with my wife. This restaurant was gorgeous; the staff was friendly; and the food was beyond delicious! The bar staff made some excellent cocktails while the kitchen staff prepared amazing appetisers and one of the best filets I’ve ever had. We will be back!
We shared the Lamb main course with Dauphnoise potatoes and this was very tasty and the vegetables were very nice too - carrots and spinach. The cocktails beforehand were really nice and a great selection. The place is a great place split into two - indoor and open rooftop terrace. both with great views of the city. Its a very friendly and social place and the staff are very attentive and friendly and advise you on drinks and the food. I would definitely recommend and will definitely return :-)
Lovely dinner with my boyfriend, food was good and atmosphere was brilliant, very buzzy and a city feel really nice.
Perfect for a night with stunning views . Service was impeccable and the staff was nice and friendly . The food is as good as any fine dinner restaurant .
Nice meal in a vibrant atmosphere. Very popular place. Would go again
Fantastic restaurant. Wonderful views of Manchester and exceptional food.
Excellent location and the views of Greater Manchester exhillerating. However being a party of 12 the table was placed under an air conditioning vent that pumped out cold air. Despite requesting to turn it off (which could not be done) the manager turned the heat up a little but the food got too cold to eat after being served within minutes.
A bad experience to boot as celebrating my wife’s 70th and the candles on the cake could not be lighted. Booo
Had a great meal at 20 Stories - lovely restaursnt with a view of Manchester. You feel like you are somewhere special. The food was top notch and the service very friendly. Will come again.
Amazing. 5 stars all round. It was a great meal
Not my favourite place in town. I feel I got much better value for money and more exclusive atmosphere at Manchester house. The food was nice and fair the prices but the wine was over priced!! Very noisy and perhaps a selfie ban would be helpful, I was constantly dodging other people’s photographs. The food was lovely, the service was outstanding, and the views breath taking but really would have been nicer if the restaurant and bar were separated a little more. The drunken smashing of glasses is not the backdrop I expect when paying £300 for a meal
A perfect venue for our small friendship group to meet for lunch. The dramatic setting created a fabulous backdrop for the stylish menu. Friendly and courteous staff including a very helpful sommelier completed this quality experience and made it memorable.
The food was beautiful and the table we sat at was facing the terrace and a nice big spacious comfortable booth. The waiters were fabulous and our drinks never run low. Will definitely be back!
Perfect setting great service friendly staff, slight criticism about the smoking being allowed on the terrace not good if you eating near to the "smokers", great cocktails try the slow love
Aiden has such good restaurants before not sure if this is a roof bar or a below average restaurant. Noisy, hot, poor service and average food. Not what we were expecting.
lovely place but service was appalling. we waited over an hour for our fish pie and had to repeatedly ask where it was.
Great food and great service a bit pricey but worth it, would def go again
Excellent food , good service with spectacular views.
food was ok not much choice and should decorate dish more to put up with the viwe n the price
Had the most amazing date night on Saturday at 20 Stories. It was sensational from start to finish and we was made to feel very welcome and comfortable on arrival. Places like these make quality time with someone special even more amazing. Would 100% go back and definitely recommend.
