Everything was lovely, but not outstanding. Unfortunately we found fluff in the wine glasses, then when they switched out the glass they brought less wine! We ordered a 175ml glass and they brought 125ml pour. The food was lovely, and the ambiance of the room was great. The service was lacking, we had to flag down a waiter on several occasion to assist us, to refill our water, take payment. It was exhausting having to flag staff down, instead of being seamlessly serviced.

The service, food and experience on a whole was outstanding. It far surpassed my expectations and I will definitely be dining here again in the near future. Our waiter, Mirko, gave exceptional service and provided us with everything we needed as well as suggestions on food and drink.

It was Sunday afternoons d their was a singer playing in the bar. All good. BUT the ridiculous sound level of the music being played on the speakers into the main restaurant meant we couldn’t hear either the staff or each other throughout the entire meal. it absolutely ruined our meal and our experience. Every time the music stopped everybody sighed with relief. It was impossible to speak to each other and hurt our ears . So much for. Relaxing Sunday lunch vibe. We couldn’t wait to get out of there.

It’s such a shame.. our previous visit was fantastic. The staff are always absolutely brilliant.

Great views , friendly staff and a nice meal .
The early bird menu had something for everyone and we were served promptly so we were able to leave in good time for our show at the opera house
Only complaint was far too much salt in the liver main course ... my friend had the same thing so it wasn’t just me who thought that , she said exactly the same thing
Desserts were fabulous
Nice experience and atmosphere

This was our first visit here and after arriving early for our reservation we went to the bar to get a drink. My Mum had a gin & tonic & I had a glass of white wine (I asked for a Chardonnay, however I’m pretty sure it was more like a Sauvignon Blanc, but couldn’t be bothered to query it) I was shocked when I was charged almost £26 for the 2 drinks! Unfortunately after not getting off to the best start, we then waited 1/2 an hour for someone to come & take our order after we were seated & given the menus. In the end I had to actually go and ask someone to attend to us. Of course, we were expecting things to go further downhill, however it ended up being some of the nicest food we have had in a long time and my steak was excellent! I had the port & Stilton sauce with it, which was also very good. My Mum had the lemon sole & it was a really good size & she said it was delicious. Once we had ordered our food, the service then was excellent and the waiter we had was great, together with the sommelier who was lovely.
After a shaky start, it ended up being a very good dining experience & I will definitely be back!

Food was so overpriced, pales in comparison in quality to Plateau in Canary Wharf (same group). Service great, but food honestly not great - certainly not worth the money. Very few veggie options on the main menu too. Too much like pub food at a luxury price.

This is our 3rd time to eat at 20 Stories and the food and service has been consistently good. Sunday was a special occasion as we had family visiting from the south. All 5 of us had great food/wine and lovely cocktails. The atmosphere was buzzing as it was Bank holiday and very busy which we loved. A great time was had by all and 20 Stories is obviously the place to be and be seen. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely meal here with the family before going to a show at the Opera House. Our waiter I think was called Giovani? (Sorry it’s been a while since we dined) was so attentive and remembered us from the last time we went! There was never an empty glass. The food was, as always, amazing I can’t fault the place for anything! Looking forward to coming back on Fathers Day!

This was my second visit to this restaurant, I enjoyed it very much the first time and it was good value as we had the lunchtime set menu. Room is very exciting and light with floor to ceiling views of the normally rainy views over Manchester. Most people around us were having the set menu but it was very uninspiring and clearly designed to bump you onto the a la carte which is a tad overpriced for the quality of the cooking. Cocktails are fun and good value. Service was odd, there were lots of people walking around but no one really engaged apart from the fabulous Spanish sommelier. Not sure I would return, there are many good restaurants in Manchester and this one feels like it is resting on its laurels rather.

Service was a little slow, but the food was outstanding as always when it arrived. Some of the menu choices weren't available but thats understandable on a busy bank holiday weekend, albeit a little disappointing. Welcome arrival and atmosphere on the terrace great, although a little chavvy later on.

It’s been on our list of must dine places. The view was spectacular and the service extremely friendly and efficient.
Sadly, the food was not up to much, the fish pie was full of excess water and so was the lamb hot pot. If you exceptional food, best go elsewhere.
If you want the view, stick to drinks.

The food was overpriced and very averaged. When we received the bill and was ready to pay they added on the optional service charge which I thought was rather rude and cheeky to presume we were going to pay it given there was only me and my husband, we always tip in restaurants but this time we passed. I am disappointed to say the least.
