The food wasn't seasoned as it should be. The potatoesand carrots had nothing on them, no butter, no salt, nothing. Also don't think they seasoned any of the beef.
Setting is beautiful and I think that’s really what you pay for. A meal for myself and my friend was £160.
The lady manning the toilets was extremely rude and quite threatening. We were celebrating my friends birthday so we were taking some photos. If this was against the new rules then that’s all that was needed and we would have stopped. The lady was shouting and snatched the phone from my hand.
On that basis I wouldn’t return or recommend. It was a beautiful setting though.
Our waiter was very attentive and made sure we were happy with our foods and drinks.
food is really good as expected as well as the service ..........
Nice experience but probably wouldn’t return. Food was good but no better than other more moderately priced restaurants in the area. With regards to the place itself, more of a Instagram hangout for late teens/ early 20s than a dining experience. Door staff quite abrupt despite us having a reservation.
Amazing! Loved it and would recommend over the shard even, good food good service and a nice view :)
Not been back to 20Stories for a while as the last 2 visits were poor. Food was great and the service and staff were excellent. Sunday dinner is highly recommended. Great afternoon.
Beautiful food service and atmosphere-would definitley revisit.
Service terrible, food average. Manager couldn’t even be bothered to come and apologise for the errors made.
Really classy venue.
Everything from entry, atmosphere, service, food and drink, was really good.
Had a fillet steak which was a bit pricey but well worth it!
Food & Service both excellent. Would highly recomend.
From start to finish the experience was Covid safe, reassuring and fabulous food
The staff couldn’t do enough for us
The phone call to check we were attending was super polite and friendly
Only negative was the bathroom area was a bit busy and needs a bit more organising social distancing but we really can’t wait to come back
Best Sunday dinner in Manchester
Our first visit since lockdown
Would give it more stars if I could
Me and my partner really enjoyed it. Had food and drinks was lovely relaxed
The food and drinks were great as usual and members of staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We’ll definitely be coming back again.
Very nice food, Family friendly, Friendly staff, helpful and a lovely environment
The food was exquisite and the children’s food brilliant too
Had a superb meal great service great atmosphere will definitely return
Really good food and the three course lunch with wine for £30 was great value for money. The only negative, which is beyond the restaurants control, was not being to understand what the servers were saying due to the masks they had to wear.
Only food let’s the place down,my chop was well tough
🌟【Sky high dining】20 Stories 3 courses set menu🌟
👍Eat out to help out set menu £20
1️⃣ Tomato & Watermelon Gazpacho (8/10) - what a surprise! ☺️ I didn’t expect to like a “cold soup” but it was sooooo good!
👉Very refreshing and full of favours, something that I would definitely order again in the summer time.
2️⃣ Grilled Salmon Shellfish Risotto, Lobster Cream (8/10) - good as expected
👉soft flaky salmon with crispy skin
👉 strong sauce with a lot of crayfish al dente risotto ❤️
3️⃣ White Chocolate & lime mousse with Passionfruit Sorbet (7/10)
👉rich white chocolate mousse and sharpness of lime and passionfruit sorbet is a nice balance
👉 slightly heavy mousse for this weather
Unbelievably poor service and the food is terrible and bland for the kind of money you are paying
21st Birthday celebrations, we had a great time
Me and my partner came for my birthday meal, everything was perfect. The service was great food was beautiful & there was a rooftop DJ outside so the atmosphere was really good to. Perfect choice for our first night out together baby free.
Outstanding good, ambience and service.
Lovely evening and a great setting, food and service was exceptional.
Simply stunning 😍, amazing place to get away from it all right in the heart of the city.
They take out £10 off from the bill (eat out help out) after they add the 12.5% standard service charge...
Service a little slow lovely atmosphere
Food expensive for what it is
Great views, great atmosphere. Service a bit slow considering not very busy. Food tastes good
A fabulous place with great views
Temperature taken before entering and staff wearing visors
Staff are lovely
Started with cocktail which didn’t enjoy
Food average and rather expensive but it’s a great place and would go back
Booked because of the reputation for excellent food and service and we were not disappointed. Stunning views of the city and excellent food and service. Recommend that you book otherwise you’ll find yourself queuing at the door.
We dined here on Friday evening as a couple and we were excited to dine at 2 stories as previously we had only ever been for drinks. Easy to say we were appalled at the food and the service was mediocre. I had the watermelon salad to start followed by the “special” half lobster in which both were bland and absolutely nothing special about either. I could of made it myself. My partner had chips and steak and again the triple cooked chips were hard in the middle and bland - like they had been taken out of a freezer. He also ordered a bernaise sauce which was inedible and reeked of vinegar.
We tried to rectify the meal by having the creme brûlée - which again, I have had far better at the likes of the ivy next door which is the same price and much larger portion.
After dinner we were completely abandoned by our server, I sat with a empty drink for about 25 minutes and we had to painfully wait for another waiter to pay our £153 meal for two bill. We aren’t the type to ever complain but this meal really ruined our special evening (again we were never asked if we were celebrating anything) and on reflection I wish I had said something in person. For the price you are paying I would highly recommend elsewhere like the ivy, or tattu. There you won’t be ripped off with poor food and service just for the sake of being sat not looking at the view which is the main selling point of the restaurant.
Great place for special occasion!!
Excellent as always
All Instagram, not a lot of substance.
Don't get me wrong, the setting is beautiful. However, for the money we paid it was overrated. The scallops were gritty, and the chocolate fondant pudding was basic. The saving grace is the service, it was brilliant. Mixed review from me.
Amazing service - the staff are outstanding, so helpful and polite. The food is fantastic and the location is unmatched. Floor to ceiling windows and a full view of the city from above. Cannot give enough praise to 20 stories.
Felt in safe hands from start to finish. Thank you.
Fantastic restaurant with great ambience! We had the steak and it was outstanding, we’ll definitely be back!
