202 Kitchen - Manchester
The Trap Food Kitchen With style
Soul food, done different.
Food was basic and tasted off. Chicken was something you’d get from an Iceland bag of wings. Drinks were overpriced for what they were. The venue was cold. Overall just a bad experience
Food was very bland-chicken had little to no flavour, chips were very standard, and the corn was hard. They also got our order wrong. Great places to take pictures and lovely cocktails but food was pretty poor.
Would have been nice if drunk underaged young girls were removed after food, spoils the atmosphere and makes the place feel cheap and trashy, especially when they get to a point of falling over the tables, screaming with glass smashing and are still not removed from the premises
Food & drinks were incredible however the service was shocking. Waited 40 minutes after being seated for someone to take our drinks order. Then when we needed a refill, another 30 minutes.
Love the decor but the food was ok for some but poor options for vegan so disappointing
The music was too loud that I couldn’t here my friends talk and the food was inedible. However the drinks were fab and the staff were super friendly and incredibly helpful! It was very cold too, luckily I had taken a coat but when booking I didn’t realise it was pretty much outside!
Food wasn’t great, place looked tired and was very quiet.
I had such a good time and I can say the same for my friends who were there with me. I had been at202 before but Saturday night was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was just beautiful and our table was situated near the bar and the bathroom and we still had an amazing view. Our waitress was very lovely and friendly we ended up tipping her quite a bit afterwards but she’s deserved more. I will be making more reservations in the nearby future
Worst experience I have ever had, the cocktails was horrible, the food was cold and the overall service was terrible , would not recommend and would definitely not return.
Came for my bithday, so pretty and staff we’re amazing 💖🥳
It was 2 sisters meeting up after being apart for 6 weeks so was a really lovely thing to do
I’d definitely recommend! It’s beautiful and good food at reasonable prices! Will definitely be back
Really good vibes. Although the food is not the best and very weak cocktails
Food was wasn’t the best and also cold, had to wait ages to order even though they were stood about chatting
Hi, we had some difficulties re seating due to new covid rules. I didn’t like our tables being split up and strangers being placed in between us. I felt that increases the risk of exposure to the virus.
I was told the tables in between households had to be there by law, when they then seated strangers on those tables I was extremely angry because working for the nhs myself, I saw risk to the strangers and to us as a family. It did not make any sense.
I do think it’s very important that people managing venues during this time, apply common sense.
The manager was very helpful and understood my grievance. The staff attending tables were so beautiful. Thank you for making our experience precious. You really are a lovely team.
I was disappointed in the food. Not even my 2 year old daughter would eat the wings and she loves chicken.
They just look and taste so undercooked and flavourless.
The ribs were okay, but tasted like a cheaper version of tgi’s and other diners.
The venue is so pretty that you just expect the quality of the food to be much better.
The venue is lush.
The food is poor
The chicken wings need seasoning and cooking to completion.
We could not eat our wings. Someone on my table ate the wings and has been feeling sick.
The prawns were tasty
The ribs were okay
The mac cheese was okay
The burger was disgusting- why thigh? Who makes chicken burgers with the thigh?
The food is basic American diner food in a lush environment.
The waffles were cold
The sweet potato chips partly cold, partly over cooked.
The corn, over cooked and stew tasting.
Personally, I think a lot more effort needs to go into the food.
I was so disappointed in the food. Sorry but it’s the truth.
Meanwhile, what a charming staff team ❤️
Food was poor and was too much of a party atmosphere considering is somewhere to eat
My daughters went and loved it! Will definitely be visiting again very soon, great service, great food and they loved the pink ambience! 😁
Food was vile. Greasy, cold and over priced. Couldn’t even eat it. I think it had been re heated from the day before. Cocktail was £10 for a small glass of nothingness. I’m so angry I paid for it. Wish I hadn’t. Don’t bother going it’s awful.
One of the best places to book for your birthday, I got a courtesy call before we got there and as soon as we reached 202 Kitchen the staff were amazing and so helpful.
We asked to move to middle part of the restaurant and were accommodated straight away.
Really enjoyed the drinks and deserts and lastly we took loads of pictures as they have the best deco and interior.
Even though we were very limited with time Lilly went out of her way and did everything we requested and she went the extra mile and made my birthday celebrations extra special.
I can't wait to visit again soon.
Two for one on house cocktails when we went. We didn’t even know about it until they told us. Super friendly staff and great for insta
Very good atmosphere and decor, loved the cocktails. Would definitely go back
Nicest food and prettiest cocktails, the toilets are amaze and it’s not even cold when sat outside, my new fav place in manchester
Definitely an experience for the younger generation. Staff were lovely, but It felt tacky and the food was disappointing. A few okay cocktails but nothing special. Felt very instagramy but it was freezing being all outside. A one time visit I think for me.
I came here the other day and the atmosphere was lovely! Will definitely visit again!
Loved it , food was nice suited the place not many options x
Really great food better than expected! Frozen cocktails lovely but a bit on the small side
Decor wss gorgeous and even though it was pretty much outside the heaters did the trick
Staff horrifically rude when we were paying the bill
Seems very disorganised. We were queuing for 20 minutes for our table even though we had booked. We could see that several tables were free, it was just that no one had cleaned them. They also came over and asked for our last orders before closing but 15-20 minutes later the drinks still hadn’t arrived and we were told we had to leave.
I don’t really mind things like this, particularly when it’s busy, but it seemed that the staff were too frantic to be apologetic- so the service wasn’t great.
However, I will say that I liked the atmosphere, the interiors are lovely and drinks were also pretty good. But the wait times for the table and drinks means I most likely wouldn’t return.
Loved the atmosphere and the setting was cold sat near the entrance but would definitely go again
Service was a bit slow. Took an hour to just place food order but generally not bad.
Loved it here! Definitely worth coming here! Everything was amazing!
Severely tacky interior in a run down building, kinda feel like you're in a greenhouse. dire service and menu, food options limited, expensive and 1/10 taste, cocktails look like they are from a 1* all inclusive menu. Expensive and totally over-hyped, also big groups of boys getting tables to perve and shout inappropriate and uncomfortable things at girls.
Food was amazing, maybe add a few more cocktails to the menu but other than that it’s a great place
Great atmosphere, amazing service, delicious cocktails!
The food wasn’t worth the money, it was nice but there was quite a lot of it. The cocktails were expensive and quite small. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend but many not if you have a budget
Great atmosphere, amazing food, nice drinks but I think they are slightly overpriced!
Great atmosphere, service, food and drinks. Will definitely visit again!
really amazing atmosphere would recommend and am coming again!
Great place. Would suggest that the waffles are warm. And make the chicken burger with a breast or give the option.
Really nice place to be, nice friendly staff and gorgeous food, only thing I would change is the temperature as it was quite cold
