202 Kitchen - Manchester
The Trap Food Kitchen With style
Soul food, done different.
Food wasn’t the best quality and the the cocktails were awful, there was literally no alcohol in them and they were £8 a drink, couldn’t believe it. But the atmosphere was nice
Great food, drink, atmosphere and look of the restaurant but service was very very slow. I had to chase up my drink 3 times and we waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken. I hope it improves because I will definitely be back! Overall very lovely
Poor service, menus weren’t provided before we asked for them. Way too much food provided for a set (expensive) price without the option to have less
Food was subpar, ambience was beautiful good music and good use of space. Could be better packaged food and drink wise.
Awful staff service, food was flavourless, long wait to get food & drinks. Not worth the price.
So youthful and current- we loved it and the food was delicious
Lovely place, fantastic greeting. Great servers. Fab cocktails! Food could have been hotter. Fab music!
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and she felt uncomfortable by the atmosphere. Its not very welcoming to people outside of their usual cliental which is a shame because my girlfriend really likes the colour pink and feminine things. Left after an hour, would be a better place if they were less uptight.
Food was delicious, especially with the 50% off discount, it was good value!
Beautiful Venue, loved the pink aesthetic. Food was delicious, atmosphere was wonderful. Staff were very good and helpful. Could have put the heaters on tho during the daytime as it was a bit chilly.
Place looks nice! Ideal for Instagram pictures however service was quite slow for how busy it was, took nearly an hour before we ordered any drinks and 1.5 hours to order food then another 40 mins for food to arrive. For the size of drinks price is a little high really! Food was tasty but overrated for the price you’re paying. Staff got our bill wrong twice but were apologetic, overall a nice place but wouldn’t go back
Staff were extremely rude. Accused us of switching tables
The food was tasteless, each of us ordered different meals and we all had to add loads of salt and pepper to our food. Food arrived cold. Service was long. Could barely hear the music. Roof is plastic so when it started raining, it rained through the roof into the restaurant, resulting in the rain drops splashing us. Very uncomfortable and inconvenient being moved tables whilst eating. And the couldnt even taste the alcohol in the cocktails🙄
Staff were however friendly.
Went out for birthday, table and food got soaked. Waited twice 20-30 mins for drinks to come and had to chase them, was told our last drink was free as the time they had put drinks in was long and still charged. Customer service was apauling and they just dint seem to care along as you was spending. None existant Customer service rather disappointed
Very young crowd, cocktails far too sweet and not good value for money
Waitress was super lovely and friendly. Food was well worth the money and the drinks were superb! I would definitely visit again and recommend to others.
Lovely food, friendly service definitely go back again
Could do with more options on the menu. More for drinks and evening vibe I’d say. Very instagram with all the backdrops great for girls night.
The food wasn’t worth £20 and the drinks were horrible. The service was shocking and didn’t even take our order for half an hour.
I heard quite bad reviews on the food and trust me I’m fussy and could not fault it at all was so good
Really poor service, staff had a attitude problem. A party of 4 and we were made to sit on a tiny table and considering we are suppose to be following COVID-19 policy it was poor. We asked to move to a bigger table but we were told every table had been booked up which was not the case! We won’t be going back again!
This is by far the worst service I've ever had anywhere, I've had better experiences in poundland. The staff were unbelievably rude, before we even entered I had someone put the phone down on me, from the second we walked in we were greeted by a stone faced woman on the door who barely greeted us only asking if we had a booking. This bar is entirely outside and even though it was over 20 degrees and completely dry, there was water dripping from the plastic roof where we were sat. Our "cocktails" were £10 each, I ordered a bossy which is meant to be a peach Bellini with gold shimmer. What came looked like watered down orange juice and tasted like cheap cava. There was no shimmer or garnish, a woman on the table opposite had the exact same drink and it looked stunning, when I asked a waitress if I could get another one because mine looked different she said "well it was made for two different people". Whatever that's supposed to mean. We were borderline ignored the whole time and left just 30mins into our booking, I didn't't even finish my drink. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, overpriced, terrible drinks and the rudest staff.
My experience at 202 kitchen was amazing the food/drinks were amazing and the lady who served us was super kind. It was such an amazing experience. And everyone there was very happy and it made it such a good night.
Had a great night and would go back however had to wait quite a while for drinks and a lot of drinks on the menu where not available on the night.
We didn’t actually eat there however have booked to go back to have food.
After seeing this new venue I had to book it for my birthday, however, from the very start, it was an unpleasant experience. We arrived and gave the booking name, we had booked for 4 people but a friend was unwell so there was 3 of us. The host was very rude when we advised that there was only 3 of us. We were shown to our table at the very front of the venue which was odd as we had specifically booked to be near the bar. We couldn't even hear the music we were sat that far out! When we asked if we could move as we had booked a table near the bar we were told that this was our assigned table all along yet it couldn't be as it only seated three people and the booking was made for four. We were eventually told that a bridal party had the two 4 seater tables near the bar yet we could clearly see tables available, perhaps we didn't look as though we had thousands of Instagram followers...We eventually were allowed to move slightly further in so we could at least hear the music. Next the waitress came to take our order but we asked for a few more minutes, she then came back and took our menus, when we questioned this as we were still choosing she said we could have one back...? Two orders came in good time but my Vegi order never showed we had to ask where it was and it came 10 minutes later, it wasn't very nice either literally a tray of fried food I couldn't eat it and the sauce I asked for never came either. As I am pregnant I asked for a mocktail yet the one I ordered was unavailable due to stock, it was only 5 pm how had they ran out already? Overall the staff's attitude was as though they didn't want to be there and simply didn't care, I think there was one polite nice waitress that we interacted with. Yes, the photo area is good that's literally it though.
The cocktails and majority of the staff were absolutely fabulous!
we all had a great time and the atmosphere is great.
The only downside is that Sasha (I believe she is called) who welcomes you in is rude & obnoxious.... Get a different front of house, someone who smiles & doesn't talk to you like you're beneath her.
Overpriced, rude waiters, bad service, food mediocre and overpriced, cocktails weak
Really instagram-able venue. Little bit run down in parts and is outside undercover. Food is great, and really enjoyed that and the cocktails were nice too. Very trendy
I LOVED it, the waitress was so lovely and her service was outstanding.
Low quality food.
The lady how served us was lovely .
Such an unreal place to visit, the food is amazing and it’s decorated unbelievably nice. Amazing place to take photos and the people were so friendly and willing to get you anything and everything.
Food was nice, just abit disappointed there was no latte to order or my second option of lime and soda so i settled for orange juice, but over all atmosphere was nice
We didn’t eat at 202 Kitchen, hence the low rating. The cocktails were unreal and the atmosphere is lit 🔥
Poor service, waited an hour for drinks and longer for food.
Very lovely atmosphere, the music was great! Food was fresh and very tastey.
Will be coming back here soon
I was so excited about bringing my two daughters here the other day as a surprise! We were so disappointed ☹️ it was freezing, apparently only one of the heaters were working where they moved us too, the food was so greasy we couldn’t eat it. My eldest daughter just wanted to go. I tried to cheer them up with taking pictures downstairs, too many people were there, not covid friendly at all. It was so expensive for very little choice & when a member of staff I mentioned the food to wasn’t interested. Fab place for pictures & maybe drinks later but definitely not for the food!!!
Excellent service. Food and drinks were amazing. Will definitely be back!
It's a fab place to take pictures & have a cocktail or two with your freinds for sure, found all the staff lovely, just not for foodies.
202 kitchen was a good experience I’m glad I went however I feel like it was very hyped up through socials. So when I went my expectations were high and I think they were not met. The food was good but not amazing but the burger was peng so I’d recommend that. But if you haven’t been you should go at least once to experience it and make you own judgment.
Staff come across very rude however cocktails and atmosphere was lovely but would not return due to staff attitude
