we had an exceptionally good meal from start to finish. No complaints!
Very good - food, cocktail, certified draft beer, service. 'Had a very nice Old Fashioned (perfect blend for someone who doesn't like super-boozy drinks), hubby was very happy with his Peroni on tap. 'Shared the chilled lobster (cooked properly, very good flavor) and the linguine with clams (lots of clams, many in the shells, really good sauce). We met the owner who was very personable and pleasant. Keep up the good work - we'll be back!
Wait staff and food were fantastic. 30 Lake was a great find and we will be back!
We had a wonderful dining experience at 30
Lake! Try the Brussels sprouts and the pear martini!!
Our sever was delightful, too!
Food is really good and pretty good service although I did ask the hostess is there was valet parking and she had no clue. This place has great potential the only real problem is the parking, it's a absolute nightmare!
Still one of the best seafood restaurants in town, if not the best. Two minor issues lead to 4 instead of 5 stars for the food. One issue is my own: why I ordered the fish and chips at a good seafood restaurant is, in retrospect, a mystery, but I wanted to try it. And it was good! The batter fried up nice and light and tasty, and the fish was fresh. But it was big and it was codfish and I couldn't finish it. The sauce in the lobster and spaghetti dish was very good, only slight issue was that the lobster meat appeared to be all claw meat. Calamari appetizer was also done very well, and the wait staff was excellent.
We were pleasantly surprised with our meal at 30 Lake. I had seen great reviews, but was Leary of our reservation on Valentines Day. We were seated at a lovely linen covered table just off the open kitchen area. No rubbing elbows while we ate! The food was as everyone said- fresh and well presented. Service was a bit spotty, but everything else made up for it on a busy night!
My wife and I went on a quiet night for her birthday. The bartender made the best margarita my wife had ever had. We were seated at a great window table. The waiter was personable but not intrusive. The pace of the meal was a desired slow pace. We had the calamari appetizer, the seafood risotto and the scallops. The risotto could easily feed two. All were delicious with special touches like parsnip puree. We are planning to go back.
Loved the limoncello Scallops. My wife raved over her chicken risotto
Our dinners were the best we’ve had out in awhile! The swordfish with the basil soufflé paired with lobster mashed potatoes and fresh green beans was incredibly delicious. Our server, Lexie, was very knowledgeable, attentive, and delightful!! Can’t wait to go back!
Loved the greeting and seating by the owner very personable and the food and service was exceptional! Can’t wait to go back and try other menu items. Octopus and black squid ink linguini fish is a must As is the swordfish as well as the beignets for dessert !
Very interesting menu. All the choices are good, flavorful, different, and delicious. I ordered more food that we needed just to taste more dishes from the menu. The Tuna Nachos are outstanding.
Lovely place with outstanding food and service!
Beautiful place with a great atmosphere and delicious food!!
Fantastic and the waitress was unbelievable in that she took her time to answer all our questions and even offered her personal options which was a welcoming feeling.
We've been meaning to try Fish for several years but Saratoga Springs has so many good eateries it took a while to get here -- but it won't be long before we go back. Fish is absolutely first rate, with a varied and innovative menu, beautifully presented dishes, and efficient, pleasant service. Our group of four had the fresh swordfish, fresh hake, lobster tortilla (in lobster sauce not Mexican sauce and delicious), and for our beef guy, the burger. None disappointed. The clam chowder was a great starter, rich and packed with clams. The Caesar salad was ordinary but serviceable. There are both high tops and standard tables -- reserve the type you like. If you find parking difficult because of construction, valet is available.
Great Fish Restaurant.
Try it out.
The menu is very creative. My wife and I were very glad that we ate at this restaurant. It was our first visit to the Saratoga Springs area.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Great drinks and food. Save room for the Upstate Apple Wellington, it's amazing!!!
Great menu choices. Excellent staff and owner. On top of things. Excellent service. Highly recommend.
Great food and service!
This was my first visit. There will be more.Fish is innovative, and delicious.A welcomed addition to Saratoga.
Besides an incredible meal our server( Chris, I believe) was friendly & professional).
The owner was gracious enough to talk to us. It was a great experience.
I always get the seafood tower...No does it better !!!!
Dinner with out college student.
absolutely loved the selection on the menu. Food was outstanding. However, made the reservation several days in advance, and we were seated next to the kitchen pick up window. It was an early dinner and most of the "nice" tables were still empty when we left. Next time I'll know to request a better table. Again the food was outstanding and the cocktails were delightful with a nice punch.
I just reviewed my review of Fish @ 30 Lake written in 2017; it was a scathing review. I opined that I might not ever try this restaurant again. I am happy that the negative review I offered from 2017 was completely changed since we enjoyed every aspect of this dining experience.
Everything was wonderful, from beginning to end. The food was outstanding, the service impeccable and the ambiance great. Can't wait to come back again. Special kudos to Rebecca for making the evening a super enjoyable experience.
From drinks thru appetizers to entrees and of course wine, everything was excellent
Menu was not particularly broad, but everything we tasted was extraordinarily good. Service was excellent, with a waitress who went out of her way to help out-of-towners (us) find some excellent ways to enjoy it tune in her town. Ambiance was casual and the volume high, but conversational. We’ll certainly go back when we next visit Saratoga.
This was our first time coming to Fish. We were quite surprised that the restaurant and bar were completely packed on the off season. That could only be a good sign right?
The hostess was lovely and brought us to a nice table. She let us know our server would be right over. Rebecca took great care of us. On her suggestion I got the halibut bouillabaisse. It was just as amazing and flavorful as she said
It would be.
She delivered an order of the most delicious smelling Brussels sprouts to the table next to us. I had to have it. I think she noticed the look on my face and she said
She would have them right out for us. It was the perfect addition to my halibut and my friends risotto. I ordered a drink that not many people have heard of. Rebecca assured me that her bartender was just as amazing as the
Chef in the kitchen. That he would be able to make it perfectly.
She was spot on all the way to the paper plain garnish.
Just when we thought we couldn’t possibly eat another bite Rebecca came by with dessert menus. She told us that if chef could make Brussels sprouts that good imagine how the dessert is. Needless to say we had the beignets. Five stars. We will definetly be back again. Thank you to the entire staff.
Our server was quite nice but the hostess was rude. Granted, she was stuck on a call with a cranky customer, but she could have put the person on hold to acknowledge our presence-two reservations were waiting to be seated. She handed the cranky customer off to the manger anyway, so why did she ignore us? We won’t be back.
Delicious dinner! Great pear martini. The shrimp cocktail was the best I've had in a long time. Both my husband and I chose the burger and were pleased with the choice. Juicy and tasty! We had the perfect table for two located in the corner of the restaurant. We weren't rushed and the service was impeccable.
Wonderful place in lovely downtown Saratoga Springs. Servers were attentive and accommodating and food was great.
Great selection of fresh food. Attentive service.
Monday night, not crowded, attentive and efficient service.
Risotto with clams, mussels, and shrimp was very tasty.
Old Fashion with Rye - well made.
Would not hesitate to return.
Our new favorite restaurant in Saratoga Springs. It is a bit noisy, but the food and service are superlative in every sense of the word!
Fish was fresh. Preparation was somewhat different than expected but tasted good anyway. Side dish almost non-existent. Small portions for the price. Manhattan prices for upstate NY establishment. Still hungry after we left.
Terrific Food Service and wine. We loved the lobster spaghetti and also our server Lexie was terrific ! Would definitely return.
Amazing as usual. Thanks!
