Great meals. Wonderful staff. provide lots of attention to quality of food. wide selection of choices on menu - lots of great seafood choices. Very sensitive to cleanliness of establishment
Food is really good! Eunice and Mike are great hosts and Mike’s mom’s pizzelles are fabulous
the appetizers are fantastic, we enjoyed too many and hardly touched our meal but that was not because we did not try, the main meal was very good. The server and people there could not have been any better, everyone was very nice and welcoming. It was very much like ..welcome to the family, please stay for dinner...than the good food keeps coming and coming, each bite better than the last...We tried to eat a dessert (which tasted divine) but a bite was all we could do, the potions are large. You get your money's worth.
Great experience overall from the service to the food. You must start with the Award Winning Mussels, which come in a choice of 3 sauces. The crab cake had no filler whatsoever. I will be back.
I so want to rave about 30 Main because I want to support this local place. The issue is always the same...the front of the house. When we arrived they couldn’t find our open table reservation so the only table they would offer us is in the back next to the restrooms. It was drafty and we just wanted a booth. I got up and went to speak to the person that seated us who was ridiculously rude. Those tables were for people with reservations! There were only 2 occupied at the time. Next surprise was the valentines menu on the day after with no exceptions. Really? My friend couldn’t get a sandwich or a plain green salad. Our actual server was very nice but could not really change anything. Next we were told our dinners were ready just after we were served our soups and apps. Ugh. Visions of our dinners under the heat lamps. But hey take your time they said. I really hope they get their act together. We need a local place with simple food.
Valentines Day. Seated by window and it was absolutely freezing, so I wore my coat. My appetizer was inventive and good, her main, the seafood risotto was too salty to eat, sent it back. I was done eating where her replacement, seared tuna, which was fine, arrived. The waitress was fine, the server might have been able to fog a mirror, maybe. Very disappointing.
EXTREMELY salty food and I usually like salt but wow overkill on everything.. fried calamari over fried to the point of crispy burnt. Kids hamburgers horrid and disgustingly soaked through. Service was good and should be expected considering that there were very few diners.
Will not go again.
Service was slow, unattentive and not very friendly. Party of 6 and only 2 out of the party enjoyed the food. The waitress did remove the drinks from the bill, but it did not change the poor experience.
We made a reservation on open table and showed up for the restaurant to tell us they had no tables and we couldn’t be seated until at least 7:30 for a 6:15 reservation.
Exceptional meals. Great seared tuna and baked salmon. Good wine selection and good apps, as well.
The food here is amazing!!! I’ll be back!
Service and food were great!
Great food. The menu is unique. The Cicchetti are a remarkable small plate sensation. The short ribs and salmon are perfect and the desserts are fun. Live music is also wonderful. Thanks for a nice evening.
Casual, comfortable atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food is good. Love the Chiccettis!
We had a group of 7 people. Our server (Mary Ann) was great. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations. The food was delicious. Would highly recommend.
The staff was on point and the food was extraordinary perfect. I got the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. My husband got the crab cakes and he said they were excellent. He didn’t share so I know they must have been good. :-))
Thank you so much for the second try. Eunice my fiance says 3 rd try as I type this. After 7 years on the Main Line it never gets easier, but we never stop trying. We truly appreciate your review and the opportunity to show you that sometimes no matter what we do someone might have had a bad night. We can do better and will always work hard to make that next experience like this one 5 stars. We appreciate your business and the opportunity to make it right. Apparently we nailed it.. Thank you
Went back to 30 Main after a couple hiatus … and I'm so glad I did! Everything was great! Drinks, food, service, singer. I had the mushroom risotto which was outstanding! My date had the crab cake with rice and veggies which he also enjoyed. It was a Wednesday night so they did have the all you can eat muscles or crab legs but we decided to come back another Wednesday night for those. Great place. We'll be back soon!
7 years and just when you think its perfect. The next night could be a disaster. Thank you for your continued suport. We will never stop improving and appreciate your return visit as well as your great review. Every customer is important and we appreciate your return visit and amazing review.
The filet was amazing. Both my Husband and myself ordered and it was prepared to perfection. The Coconut Shrimp were awesome as well.
Wonderful meals. Salmon and mahi were perfect. Great salads also. Beer selection is notable. Live music is always relaxing and spectacular service. Thanks for a nice evening.
My husband and I met for dinner. The food was excellent and service was great!
Mike is an amazing chef and met with us personally.
Going back real soon!
Thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers- Venetian style
No good deed goes unpunished and the owner was severely punished for hosting a fundraiser for an ill person. Many people attending the fundraiser showed up at the same time and overwhelmed the restaurant. When we arrived at 6:35, our waitress, who was trying so hard to please all, explained that the guests for the event were in most of the adjacent (and very noisy) tables; she asked for our patience. Little did we know...
As a prelude, and to be fair, we ate here for the first time two weeks ago and it was very good, so we returned because of the positive experience.
Other diners were served and most seemed unhappy with their meals, and made their displeasure apparent. The owner tried everything to appease them, waiving their bills, explaining that he was giving 20% of the night's proceeds to the woman, and that he waived the banquet room rental fee. That wasn't enough. Plus, one nearby infant sprayed the room with French fries.
As for us, we slipped through the cracks. After ordering and waiting 45 minutes, a busboy asked if we had been served. We said we not received our salads, or any food. He got to the waitress, who was so distressed, explaining that she dropped the ball. Our salads arrived minutes later, and were fine.
As for our entrees, at 8 p.m., live music began. We were seated as far away from the band as possible, yet they were deafeningly loud (we pitied people seated closer) and sounded like Bob Dylan if he had just suffered from a crippling disease, or worse. We had enough, and got up to leave. After all, we had been there for 90 minutes and had only our side salads (my soda glass was empty, even the ice had melted, but it was never refilled).
We informed the waitress, who remained very upset with our experience, and she gave us the one dish that was finally ready (my salmon was not). She refused to accept any money from us.
We left, and eventually had dinner, I had two hot dogs from a nearby Wawa and my wife had a few crackers at home.
Some good and some bad with this restaurant. We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly. Parking is sketchy here but to be expected from a Main Line Restaurant. We ordered salads to start and they didn't arrive until 8:00, needless to say we were getting a little anxious when we were told that they didn't even have bread to offer due to a "event upstairs" My salad finally arrived 90 mins later and it was really lacking! a few morsels of lettuce and a couple of tomatoes with a nice portion of burrata cheese, nothing for my husband who was starting to get aggravated when the meatball appetizer arrived we inhaled it! The meatballs were more like burger balls, no flavor... My husband ordered a Ceasar Salad with Chicken which was incredible when it finally arrived, it come with an entire chicken breast.... The pizza which was supposed to be flatbread was more like a deep dish pizza and was good. The waitress was sweet and apologetic. The band was way too loud for a dinner crowd. The beers were supposed to be draft but arrived in a bottle with no glass. If your not in a hurry or don't mind spending an entire evening here... I couldn't recommend
Service was poor. We were seated had a drink placed order but didn't see our app for 45 minutes. Claimed slow due to a party. Then only 1 of two apps arrived. 2nd came with meal. Comp'd the apps however we will not be returning
Great food, live music, friendly owners It was our first visit and we will be back!
Food was very good, I had double crab cakes, However only one was served. I brought this to their attention and they brought out the second that was ordered. It arrived as we finished our dinner we said wrap it and we would take it home. The calamari appetizer was very good, the Bronzini my wife had and my crab cake was very good. Portions were large, (if I had known I would not have ).
We also were not informed of any specials!
We have been there before, this could have been a quirk.
The band was so loud that we could not have a conversation at the table in the dining room. We sat there 20 minutes before someone waited on us. It took another 15 minutes before we got our drinks. The waitress gave the wrong drink to the wrong person. She did this again when we ordered another round of drinks. The food was just OK. Nothing to rave about. This was our first time at 30 Main and we probably won't return.
Great food and environment. Music Bingo is very unique entertainment.
Wonderful meals for 5. Appetizers and entrees very tasty and served promptly and pleasantly. Great place to bring visitors.
Great meals and service Delicious entrees and vey tasty appetizers.
Waited forever for food and service. A 20 person group seemed to bring the restaurant to its knees although there were only 3 other tables with customers in the large restaurant.
Great evening - very good food and cocktails and wonderful service
Tremendous selection of food. The Happy Hour is a great value. Their special cocktails are unique and the special food offerings are very attractive The all-you-can-eat king crab leges are a remarkable deal. Thanks a lot!!!
What a wonderful experience! The server was phenomenal, did not rush us through the meal and was incredibly attentive. We had the all you can eat crab legs and they were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend and will be back again soon!
Great warm atmosphere. Food very good and service is excellent.
Five stars is not enough!! This restaurant offers a wonderful selection of unique and delicious foods. The crab cakes use crabmeat as the filler. The tempura lobster with cheese is great. Home-made desserts are spectacular. The wonderful staff provides an enjoyable evening. Thank you for a great time
Always a great experience. Wonderful food. Very friendly service.
