The music was a little loud once the band started up but it was still really lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful, the service was quick, and the food was absolutely delicious.
The service was non-existent. I know it was lunch time and not busy but the two staff were doubling over eachother to see if we needed anything. The food was average at best and we both had watered down pops.
It was our first time dining here and we had a wonderful experience. Food was excellent, service was excellent. Would recommend.
We had a 7pm reservation and were attending our friends’ band performance upstairs at 9pm. The place wasn’t busy at all. But we still didn’t receive our food until 8:35pm, so had to wolf it down and run. Our friend who was playing upstairs ate his cold soggy club sandwich at 10pm. The food was okay, but nothing was super unique or impressive.
We would return to give it another chance because the ambiance and beer selection was great, but would sincerely hope for better service.
Had the 8 oz steak medium rare. Came to the table incredibly well done. Friend had the 14 oz. It was not 14 oz.
Lobster Mac ab
happy that there is a new restaurant at that site. the service was excellent. no one rushing to get you ordered and out. the food was delicious. I had a turkey burger and fries. I would have them again.
Great space. Awesome staff and cuisine.
Live music was great and our servers were excellent and very friendly.
Fabulous ambiance and setting. First time there and I will return. Staff were efficient and friendly. Good live music band that wasn’t too loud.
I have to say our server was extremely nice, the steak pretty tough and the lobster mac and cheese, didn't see any lobster and not much cheese either. The prices were reasonable, but the quality of the food not so great. Beautiful Building
absolutely not. The food was horrific. The server was very new and inexperienced. She proceeded to tell us how delicious the chicken was because she had eaten it. When we ordered it, she said they were out of it. She had no idea what beers were on tap. Such a shame, as the building is beautiful. I saw many warning signs that this place is going out of business. Such a shame to waste a Saturday night at such a crappy restaurant.
A couple of items on the menue were 'sold out', but there were lots of other choices. Overall an excellent experience. I would go back any time!
Love the decor. Had a great waitress. Just found it too loud to hold a conversation well. Food was really good at a price that is affordable.
Our experience at 33 Bowen was great. My Aunt got the Tuna Nachos and I got the all you can eat Mussels. Our waitress was good, all though my aunts food was expensive and there were plenty of fruit flies at our table. Even though there were not many costumers at the restaurant, the service and food was slow. I would recommend this only if you are looking for a more expensive dining experience.
great service and awesome food will definitely go back
Good food and great service. Very knowledgeable waitress (unlike our last visit) Had a great time listening to the band and dancing. Also playing Jenga while the band took a break.
Great historical building. I love how they tell you the history.
The place is beautiful and relaxed.
Food is great and not so fancy that it would scare people off.
Great good and service. Loved the raw oysters. Even had some live music!
The main issueI had with 33 Bowden was the fruit flies that keep buzzing around us..
Our table of four enjoyed halibut and chips (2), a BLT, and a vegetarian plate for the vegetarian in our group. We shared the soft pretzel appetizer, which was very tasty.
All meals were excellent, especially the BLT, which arrived with an egg on top.
Our server AMcH, who had only been working there 3 weeks, was attentive and personable.
Overall a nice Friday evening out.
Awesome ambiance, a lot of beers. Apps were great, mains were not. Shrimp in jambalaya should be deshelled, a number of muscles were still raw. Salad was pretty sub par.
