9 on the Green Cafe & Restaurant
Our seasonally changing a la carte menu offers British, French and internationally inspired dishes, drawing inspiration from local produce.
food was great, service ok but the ambience a bit lack lustred. overall great expererience and a beautiful cosy venue.
A very relaxed atmosphere for an enjoyable evening. We are due to return this Saturday and the following Saturday with friends and family. Perhaps this gives an indication of how we feel about Number 9 on the Green. All tables in the main area of the restaurant were occupied but we did not notice any delay in the arrival of our food. Clare looked after us very well.
The quality of food was very good - a tasty experience. However, the quantity was disappointing and certainly not worth the expensive prices. Attention to detail could have been better and the menu was limited with several options not available either having run out or not on the “evening” menu. Overall, a nice atmosphere with tasty dishes but you may leave with an empty stomach and even emptier wallet.
excellent food good service but a little on the expensive side.
will definitely go there again
Excellent food in a relaxing atmosphere. The menu was impressive with a relatively small but well chosen range of dishes. The curried smoked haddock with poached egg was so tasty.
Great sandwiches using locally baked tasty bread
We would have liked a few more hot choices on the menu on a cold winter's day, but we enjoyed what we had and will come back again to try the homemade cakes.
We have eaten at No. 9 on several occasions and have always enjoyed the food and the staff are very friendly. A lovely place to meet friends, chat and enjoy whatever the occasion. We highly recommend it.
Best food in Wimborne. Never had a bad meal there. Staff are very friendly. Definitely recommend.
Lovely cosy restaurant, good food, great service. Small and was a little noisy with a group of celebrating ladies the evening we were there but I'd still thoroughly recommend it.
Very pleasant ambience with thoughtful service and good food. Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch.
I had booked online and when we arrived they were not aware of the booking. Fortunately there was a table free although this was a very busy time for them. This venue has very important significance to our family and as my son was visiting from Canada briefly another venue would not have been appropriate. We were lucky this time but please please check your online bookings!!!
Everything was pretty medioca, apparently it is the same chef as the original No 9. However, does not reach the same standard in anything. It feels like what it is, a daytime cafe, turned quickly into a night time restaurant with no attention to all the fine details. I would return but maybe not for a long while.
We had a lovely meal, very friendly service, guaranteed to return - only criticism was that the menu was slightly limited on choice, but that wouldn't put us off going again as the food we did choose was fantastic.
My friend and I had the Full English which I can recommend.
The menu was limited, but it is much better to have this and fantastic food, rather than an extensive menu and lower quality. We will be back!!
Really great food and great service, my only gripe was that we had tomoay the exact amount on card when splitting the bill which wasn’t a massive issue but then we couldn’t leave a tip which we wanted to as the evening was so nice!
We had a fantastic evening with wonderful good. Would definitely go there again.
The food we had was nice. However, they operate a limited menu, and it was very disappointing to find they had run out of a number of dishes. This effectively limited us to 1 choice of main dish. When it came the dish was very nice, but not what I would have chosen. Disappointing to have such limited choice at what was peak time on a Saturday night.
I had the steak and it was excellent , the whole meal was perfect
We were seated at a lovely window table with views of the minister. Delicious quiche and salad.
Been to this restaurant on a few occasions and overall a lovely experience.
Lovely as always.
