The flavours in the food were exceptional. I ordered something that wasn’t available and the waiter suggested the alternate. I was hesitant as I had never tried mutton before and it was amazing. I can’t wait to go back to this restaurant.
Very nice place! Indian dishes delicious. Do not hesitate to come!!
Wonderful service, great food - perfect impromptu patio setup during covid. Please support this local business! It is run by some amazing staff
Amazing food! Highly recommended.
Had a great time! Great food!
Had a great meal with had butter chicken, fish tikka masala & eggplant with 1 rice & naan. Everything was tasty and flavorful. Some of the best Indian food in Toronto
Really good! Lots of food.
I cannot speak highly enough of not only the food, but the staff and the ambiance of the restaurant. They were very kind, attendant, and enthusiastic about catering to you. One of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant. If you like Indian food or would like to try, this is the place to go.
Winterliciois menu was sad. Average food average service
I came here for winterlicious dinner with a friend. I made a reservation through open table. As soon as I came in, I was greeted and the person checked for my reservation and took me to a table upstairs. There were three levels. The ambience was very nice and I liked the music playing. It was not too loud. The lighting is bit dim and it has the vibe of a candle light dinner experience. Good place for a date. I went for the chicken tikka appettizer and mutton curry for main. They were both okay. My friend order lamb and fish curry which was a lot better than mine, was more flavourful and tasty. We ordered the mango kulfi sandwich for dessert. I had high expectations for the kulfi and was super excited to try it however it was quite alright. Overall, service was good and food was decent. Would still come back! Thank you!
Great food however service is always slow
The servers should pay more attention to their guests. I sat around with an empty glass without water for over half an hour and had to go to the server to ask for water.
Good food. Pleasant staff. Clean.
I tried their winterlicious lunch menu and I thought both the value and food was good.
The servers were very attentive, ambience and setting was great. My appetizer was amazing. Would go again and recommend to friends.
Very good set meal for winterlicious, ,the seating was far enough away from other tables,to have a private conversation. The wait staff were excellent, they were unobtrusive, and their timing for service was excellent. The desserts were not the best part of the meal, they lacked flavor. Overall an excellent meal ,pleasant atmosphere .
We experienced the Winterlicious offerings and were pleasantly surprised. The presentation of the meals was unexpected compared to the usual Indian food. An interesting evening with very good dishes. Will come again.
Great food, excellent service. The menu offered a variety of items, and we received personal attention from the head chef. A great place for a special night out.
Had to wait quite a while for our food, but the food was very good. We were a bit disappointed that the fruit on the Winterlicious menu wasn't available because we weren't crazy about the other desserts.
Great food. Fast service.
Great food and excellent service in and a lovely restaurant. I will go back for sure!
Food was very flavourful
Wide variety of spices
Did not feel rushed
The presentation was very nice
Went here for the winterlicous. Food was good and waiters were friendly. The portions were a bit small but couldn't complain about the winterlicous price. Overall a good experience . The mango lassi and naan were our favourite!
Winterlicious, super satisfied!
Good staff, good food, good in general
Overall, an excellent place. Great food, reasonable portions, and many little extras in the presentation make it an enjoyable experience from end to end. We've been there a couple of times, and will be back again - it's now our go-to spot when in the area.
Amazing food, beautiful restaurant and attentive staff. Pricey but lovely.
We have been to Aanch before and this time like before, it did not disappoint. We have two vegans in our party and we were able to order off the menu with some advice from our server. Our other guests ordered Chicken 65 to start along with Rosemary Naan and they loved them both. We also had the Samosa Sampler and the Kurkuri Bhindi (Coated, fried okra). The curries were just enough for one person and the twist on Aloo Gobi, Gobi Masala for us vegans was excellent. The Vegetable Biryani was prepared as a vegan dish and equally tasty. The Butter Chicken was also excellent. We also had one order of plain rice, garlic naan and roti.
I would highly recommend visiting this fine establishment.
It was alright- nothing special, wouldn’t go back
Enjoyed a wonderful holiday dinner with my family on Christmas Day. The staff were very welcoming and they gave us a wonderful table on the third level. The food was amazing and so many menu options. They also offered us a complimentary special dessert which was greatly appreciated.
Butter chicken and lamb was awesome. Thanks!
Food was great - definitely going back
It was great, we ordered it again through takeout Sunday night!
Incredible food and service that's very reasonably priced. Delicious, large portions, vibrant flavours and very friendly staff. Coming back here very soon!
Good food, large portions
We selected 4 different dishes to share between the four of us. All were excellent. The sauces were so delicious. We had to order more naan to soak it all up!
Second visit and just love the food! Three of us shared three mains and rice and naan. Probably could have had two and been full - but loved everything so much I don't know which we would leave off! Had spicey lamb vindaloo, the butter chicken (could have with more spice if one of us wasn't sensitive) and shrimp malabar. Wine list has some good options at reasonable restaurant prices.
Thinking of all the fabulous flavours I want to go back tonight!
one of the best places for authentic Indian food in downtown Toronto
As always the best Indian restaurant in Toronto. Everything is just so tasty.
Had a wonderful dinner with my husband before a concert. We started with mulligatawny soup we planned to share it and they brought it in 2 smaller bowls which was really nice and the soup was piping hot . We then had the butter chicken & Baingan Bharta (eggplant tandori) we shared rice and had naan. Everything was absolutely wonder tasty and hot. This is the best Indian restaurant In Toronto. Did not have time for the Masala Chai due to us arriving later than expected but know it is worth the wait. This is not the 1st time dinning at Aanch-Modernistic and it will not be the last.
