Abd El Wahab
1999 was the year that saw Lebanese cuisine change forever. ABD EL WAHAB Inglizi Street in the heart of Beirut became home to a restaurant of the same name. Reflecting everything great about Lebanon and its culture, this restaurant embodied the genuine heart of the Lebanese people.
Filled with warmth and founded on generosity, this restaurant quickly became highly sought after. From its humble beginnings as a standalone restaurant, it rapidly became the humming and vibrant hub of a chain of restaurants proudly bearing the name ABD EL WAHAB.
Situated in iconic locations around the Middle East, standing in the shadow of the mighty Burj Khalifeh in Dubai, overlooking the Dubai Fountains, in the heart of international hotels such as the St Regis and the Shangrila make this restaurant famous. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt and Bahrain are all hosts to the expansion of this now legendary brand.
I don't know why I waited so long to try Abd El Wahab. It was an excellent dining experience. The menu is extensive, the food is authentic and the portions are generous. I will be back for Sunday lunch soon.
We went the first day after lockdown it was very clean and hygienic, with all members of staff wearing corresponding PPE and observing physical distancing measures. The food was amazing and the service was superb. They made us feel very safe and looked-after.
Will definitely be coming back!
Gas wasn't working in the kitchen that night, and the staff did not warn us before we seat and order drinks. 70% of the hot meals were not available! We had a lot of hummus and bread... Not really what we came for.
No commercial gesture (a drink, tea or pastry on the house would have been thoughtful)
Great service and tasty food
First class, extremely friendly staff, amazing food
The chicken was coked fast، we asked for some sauces and they ignored it, the hommas I make at home is way better than theirs.
The restaurant is a Lebanon and all the songs being played as background were not from Lebanon 😅!
The best thing on our table was the coca-cola 😁
The food is fabulous. Fresh, nicely presented, beautifully spiced and warm fresh bread - my experience of the perfect meal. My friend and I dined on a variety of starters - each of them in their way were (and I rarely say this) perfect. Have already recommended to friends, and will return.
Last minute decision to go for a Lebanese meal, which was well rewarded. Outstanding food in a very modern atmosphere
Authentic Lebanese food! Try their smoked grilled meat dishes - spectacular! And Chateau Musar Lebanese red wine is as good as any.
Every time I go to this restaurant I come out satisfied. You paid the quality of the great cousine they have.
Way too expensive for the value of the food compared to other similar restaurants in the area
Plenty of exeptional food. Perfect for talk, eat, talk, eat, talk, eat, talk, .........
Excellent location good food very good service shall diffinitly go back again
The food was delicious and authentic and our waiters were very helpful. it was perfect for a Sunday lunch.
We have had many excellent meals at Abd El Wahab in Beirut so decided to try here when we were looking for somewhere to have a Lebanese meal in London with family. We were pleased we did as we enjoyed our meal and had a very pleasant evening.
Great food, very satisfied
We had a fantastic dinner. Food was great, but service was absolutely fantastic. The manager was probably the nicest and most efficient we have ever met.
Food was not as good as other Lebanese restaurants and it's VERY expensive.
Ambience and service were great.
Very pleased with our first visit at this restaurant.
There is a lot on the menu and plenty of vegetarian options.
Certainly will visit again to sample more dishes.
Great service, asked the waiter for recommendations and he sorted our whole starter for us all. Amazing food which is well worth the money, overall a very nice evening!
Great food but miss Kibbe Niyye!
Service was very good due largely to presence of Nabil. He is a real asset to the restaurant.
A friend from Beirut recommended Abd el Wahab as THE place to go to in London for reliably excellent Lebanese food. We had a great lunch there this weekend. Everything was excellent!
Great restaurant, very good food and always great staff here. A must do in London
We really enjoyed our evening. Ingredient were fresh and food presented in an aesthetic manner. Service was outstanding.
Food was excellent wait staff polite... service was equally good in arabic as in English but the Argileh was 50 quid and we were not told as the price was NOT WRITTEN ON THE MENU. I would have assumed 20... or maybe 25... so that is my only complaint
Truly the best Mediterranean food we’ve ever had.
We celebrated my partners 30th as a lovely treat for his birthday, the food was amazing and the venue was lovely. All members of staff were very attentive and helpful.
We had an amazing experience and would recommend to anyone.
The best Lebanese food in London!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Great venue, different areas to dine and great staff
Lovely food!! I would go back again. Very nice atmosphere and helpful personals.
Location is great. We were a party of 9. The service is poor, the waiters are lost and have no clue what they are doing. The food portions are very small and not tasty. This is the worst Lebanese food I’ve had. The bread looks great until you eat it- very strange consistency. It’s over priced. If you fancy Lebanese don’t go there-you will be disappointed.
Authentic and delicious Lebanese cuisine combined with excellent service. On top of it, great value for money and optimal location.
Altogether a wonderful evening. Great service and knowledgable staff. Exceptionally tasty food. Will definitely be going back.
The food was wonderful and the service was great! A genuine Lebanese restaurant in London. Special shout-out to Bassel. An amazing manager! I'm from Lebanon and I had a group of internationals with me and they absolutely enjoyed the experience. One thing is sure. We are coming back :)
I visit the Abu Dhabi outpost of this restaurant a lot and was very excited to learn about the London opening. Our food was cold - and we were only given a tiny bit of meat as a replacement, which absolutely wasn't fair. The menu is excellent, we took some friends out with us and they were also very disappointed.
They try hard. And they succeed. Absolutely delicious.
We went to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The place was empty. There was only one or two other tables. The food was ok. Nothing special. For mains, we ordered fish and lamb pieces. When we asked the staff to remove the bones from the fish, they were not impressed. The lamb was too salty and instead of changing it, the waiter came and said he tasted it and there was nothing wrong with it!!!
Unfortunately I won’t be going there again!!
nothing spectacular. expected a cleaner washroom for an upscale restaurant like this.
Best Lebanese restaurant in town!
