Relax under the Hazel tree and enjoy our Afternoon Tea. Featuring a selection of savoury bites as well as our show stopping scones and cakes. Featuring loose leaf teas from Edinburgh based Eteaket. This is a special treat to be enjoyed time and time again with your nearest and dearest. PLEASE NOTE: We require 24 hours notice for any Afternoon Tea bookings, please do not book same day. Our Afternoon teas are made to order, and any bookings cancelled within 24 hours of booking time will be charged as per the Hazel booking policy. Any dietary requirements must be communicated at time of booking, and at least 24 hours before reservation.

Excellent menu and delicious food. Option for small plate or large on the menus too. Attentive staff and relaxed ambience within the restaurant. The afternoon teas looked amazing too. Will definitely return and recommend.

This was a nice change from the heavier Scottish food we’d encountered in most restaurants. We had grilled salmon with crab, fresh peas and beurre blanc. Also, a nice salad. The small plates looked creative, but we dove in straight for the main course.

Food was excellent. Staff were excellent. Bronwynn went out of her way to make us feel special. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thank you!

Mid-city location. Very good food (I had the chicken; my partner had the salmon/crab). The service was excellent. You won’t regret eating here if you are in the neighborhood.

Good points - The hotel has a great location and the restaurant setting, service and cleanliness without fault. Food quality and taste really good. My wife's cocktail was "nice" and she enjoyed her blade of beef although she commented " the serving was on the small side". Not so good points - The portions are tiny...I've honestly had larger starters...I know I might be missing the point somewhat but I don't consider £28 for a piece of quite fatty pork belly a couple of inches long, a slice of black pudding, two carrots halved, one stem of broccoli, a flat table spoonful of cabbage and a flat table spoonful potato to be good value. I requested a pint of Stella and it was served in a straight ,normal beer glass. I asked if it could be transferred to a correct Stella glass and was informed they don't have any. Unsurprisingly, the lager was flat and lifeless before I had got a quarter down the drink. Manager - please, please get the correct glasses. In summary, an immacualte restaurant in a great location with great staff let down, for me, by tiny, quite expensive portions and flat beer.

First visit to Hazel's for my girlfriend's birthday. The Shetland salmon was quite simply superb as was the cocktail on the house for her birthday which was a nice touch. Very chilled atmosphere and shout out to Lloyd who take care of us perfectly! Will definitely be back, a brilliant restaurant you have there! Added bonus that Hazel is also her name, one of two reasons we decided to visit! The other was the videos we saw on social media!
