    Highly recommend Achray House . My partner and our wee dog have been staying in the lovely 1 bedroom apartment that’s there . It’s fully equipped with everything you need and it’s a bright we’ll presented place . I have to say Claire / Clare who works there was delightful - bright and cheerful and knowledgable about the local area . Thank you for our delightful stay .

    We advised the hotelier/restaurant team prior to our arrival that one of us was vegetarian, the menu that we were presented upon arrival had a very limited range or vegetarian offerings which resulted in my wife settling for a bowl of fries (for her starter and main). The waitress was very apologetic and later acknowledged it was their oversight, whist disappointed my food (scallops/monkfish cheeks followed by sirloin steak) was fine. My word of advice to the hotel team would be ‘please keep your website menu up to date’, the menu visible on the website last night was different to the menu presented last night.

    The Tasting Menu was a wonderful experience. Every course was delicious and and well presented. The wine pairing a must to get the best from this experience. The Lamb shank was superb. Would highly recommend. Thank you as always to Laura Claire David and Team.

    This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.

    Overall a lovely evening. The staff were very welcoming on arrival. There was a good buzz in the restaurant. The food was really delicious but a little slow coming out. Unfortunately the lady running the restaurant was quite short and the attention to detail was lacking, given the price of the menu we expected a bit more. The wine menu was ok and there were plenty of food options.

    One of the best meals we have had. Food is obviously cooked to order so be prepared to allow 2 hours for a three course dinner. The welcome from Claire and her team make the whole experience a home from home. We had a Loch view room with a stunning view. We will definitely be returning

    This was the third and last night we stayed at Achray House. They proposed the tasting menu well in advance. However, we wanted to check in how good the chef really is, before committing to anything. Therefore, we ate the first night at the hotel and concluded that the chef was more than enough on par. When we asked for the tasting menus the chef agreed to make it for the third night, just to secure the right produce. The menu was fantastic, such a varity in flavour. Laura paired the food with fantastic wines and made the evening a ball. Thank you Achray House for the experience!

    The food was amazing we had the Special Sunday roast beef also the staff were so friendly and informative about nice walks in the area. They have a bar and conservatory which is doggie friendly. I would definitely recommend

    The venue has stunning views and the food was excellent and the staff attentive and very helpful. I have to confess this was a journey down memory lane as we stopped in this hotel in 1963 - the return was not a disappointment

    Stayed overnight here and everything about our stay was excellent. From the staff welcoming us, the room, the bar selection and service, the evening meal & breakfast and ultimately the staff when we left. We can’t fault a single aspect and would highly recommend a visit here. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to all the staff.

    All the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful. The room/bathroom were newly decorated, spotless and was extremely comfortable and great views fr room over the Loch. It had a large TV and a coffee machine(which made my wife extremely happy), Alexa and iPhone charging pad which were nice touches. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had and the a la carte menu was excellent, as was the accompanying wine. The atmosphere was very casual and laid back and if you like to try different gins/whisky then this is the place to go albeit it is well stocked for other drinks. Plenty of walking,cycling or water sports if u r so inclined. All in all we had a tremendous 2nights there with even the weather playing ball. Would wholly recommend it to anyone who likes a smaller hotel in a beautiful area of Scotland Thank you Achray House for an unforgettable experience.

    Food was from a small menu, I still found it tricky to choose from some delicious sounding options. I chose meaty options whilst my wife had vegetarian. Both of us were very pleased with our choice. We then shared a pair of desserts, with some dispute about which was best. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

    We stayed only one night with Australian friends at Achray house but would have been happy to stay longer. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the setting excellent, staff helpful and friendly and the food very good. We all had seafood main courses and there was nothing left on anyone's plate, I think that says it all. Only negative was the water pressure of the bathroom sink, although the shower was fine.

    We both had a wonderful three night stay in the lodge. The lodge itself needs a little tlc. However this didn’t diminish our stay. The food at the hotel was excellent and the tasting menu with paired wines was outstanding. Breakfast was both varied in choice and tasty. The views from the main restaurant and the conservatory were outstanding. Service efficient and very friendly and informed. We will be back.
