The caffe concerto in this banch (152 Knightsbridge) is wonderful! Everything is perfect for me. The foor are enjoyable and delicious. The manager and the staff are very welcoming and very attemtive! Facilities are very good. No negative for this branch. One of the best!
We went here on a Sunday for my birthday.
It was so busy and noisy so sadly didn't enjoy it.
Waiters kept hovering over tables as they was waiting to seat next guess so felt rushed.
Food was good but tea was small had to order more.
I've been to lots of afternoon teas and this was the busiest.
There's no point booking online as they didn't know I had booked and had to wait in a line to be seated.
It's as very pretty cafe nice decor.
But I won't be back as I've been to others and preferred.
Perfect traditional tea with flawless Service. 178 Brompton rd Location this re view. Note: went to South Molten location the week before:Terribly food and service. Go figure.
Amazing experience, parents were pleased. Nice staff and atmosphere!
Great experience, especially because it was our first time doing tea. Worth the time and money for sure. Not sure if I would agree on the afternoon tea price if I didn't go through groupon.
Got a great deal for afternoon tea. The cakes, scones and sandwiches were lovely, staff very attentive, nice restaurant. Would recommend the tea, but only on a deal as it’s super expensive without it
We arrived unexpectedly early and lovely staff seated us straightaway. Delicious tea with little rolls and fresh sandwiches, 2 fresh scones each with jam and cream and deli cakes. Very good value compared with the local hotels and no one hurried us. Pleasant cafe atmosphere a short stroll from V&A. Would highly recommend
Came for Afternoon tea - delicious food and attentive service. Lovely interior to the restaurant! We spent a long time their and were not rushed out as Im sure we would have been in other places.
Service was awful. Booked afternoon tea for my mum for mother’s day and called in to order specifically vegetarian sandwiches as my mum was a vegetarian. And upon arrival told the waiters the same. After this they still managed to mess up the order and bring us chicken sandwiches which my mum took a bite off. After asking one of the stuff members (gentleman Dressed in a formal attire in blue) rather than apologising for the matter he said ‘well what do you want me to do’. They then took the sandwiches away and brought us vergetatirian sandwiches which are all cream cheese and cumcumbers on stale bread. There was no selection of sandwiches and looked like they made out order in a rush. We had also booked tea for 6. And they only brought the tea for 4. After speaking to 3 different staff members none of them managed to bring us the last order and our drinks were cold by that time and the 4 had already gone through their food. After a last attempt, of requesting our last afternoon tea, the guy said no you only have 4 on your voucher even though he already scanned it. I showed him the vouchers again and he said I thought it was 4. Again didn’t get an apology from him, rather he turned around and said I’ll bring the last one out for you. Which took another 15 mins or so. Mother’s Day treat was not good at all and my mums first experience of an afternoon tea was awful. Food was also not great. Have tasted better scones else where.
Do not recommend this place
No problems with delays experienced by other reviewers, once order taken service was perfunctory but just adequate. Nice setting with almost restrained feel of luxury. Now for the issues. Advance booked with prior notification of two allergies for one guest, wheat and dairy, not uncommon. When asked for the allergy free afternoon tea alternatives, the only options offered were macaroons and pasta!
Considering the cost of the afternoon tea, pitched at near the Knightsbridge high-end outlets, that the only tea alternatives were Breakfast or Earl Grey teas was very disappointing. Compounded by the teabag tea being supplied in individual small one and half cup pots, we even had to remind the staff that milk was missing! A further pot of tea was charged. Come on, charging extra for a teabag and some hot water is just taking the mickey considering the price of the set tea. The tiers of sandwiches, scones and cakes were adequate. Pity we had to point out that tea for two twice plus a tea for one made up five teas altogether to the staff. Perhaps it is our good fortune that Café Concerto take such good care of their guests health that the portions are minuscule, particularly the clotted cream!
Fortunately the good camaraderie of the party overcome these irritants so despite them we had a enjoyable, but not to be repeated, experience. We wish you luck.
Excellent, friendly service. Afternoon tea was delicious
Service was awful. Waiters were rude to say we paid over £300 for the afternoon. Service was outrageous!
I had an afternoon tea via Groupon promotion..the food and sweets are perfect..the waiter was very kind and he gave me the offer even my Groupon voucher seemed not to work. I had an excellent experience, even that I was completely dissatisfied from Groupon services
Very attentive staff and a nice atmosphere. We had Afternoon Tea which was delicious, although I would have preferred more savoury items and fewer cakes as I couldn't finish it all which was a shame! Beautifully presented and great value for money.
