Afternoon Tea at Caffe Concerto Stratford The Street
The tea and coffee was not enough and too many sweets. More savoury snacks please
Service took long and food wasn’t enough for the price
Service was good, maybe he food could improve, my friends and I had a great experience
Birthday celebration with cousin
The food was not very nice, the sandwiches were very poorly made, the scones were dry and the clotted cream had a hair in it. The pastry section was poor.
I would recommend Tea at Caffe Concerto although I did not appreciate the service from the newly hired waitress, she was not very clear when it came to ordering drinks, we had to ask another waiter and she lacked enthusiasm for giving good customer service, as if she was having a bad day as was not bothered at all if we were happy.
Food was lovely.
Firstly I’d like to point out that the staff at the caffe concerto at Westfield London, do not smile and appear to be rude which to me is very unacceptable. We asked for an afternoon tea for 1 but to share for 2 people which is just below £20. When we got our bill, our afternoon tea came to £41 as they “assumed” we were sharing for 2 and not 1, like we asked. Even though we paid the £41 I’m not quite sure it’s even worth the £20. The cakes were rubbery, the scones were dry and had no flavour and the sandwiches weren’t anything special. I would not recommend
Had a wonderful afternoon tea here. The food was beautifully presented and there was so much we had to take a box of leftovers home!
Very good food, nice atmosphere, good staff interaction
Overpriced. You could get the same quality of food from a patisserie valerie for half the price, patisserie valerie £25 for 2, whereas caffe concerto was £40 for 2 including service. The only thing I would say better than patisserie valerie is probably the service but, in my opinion, I wouldn’t pay £15 more for that. Sandwiches/scones/desserts all fine, service good, tea pots minuscule.
I would definitely recommend. I was meeting a friend for her 30th who I hadn’t seen in years, I wanted to take her somewhere where we could sit down and catch up over afternoon tea and this was perfect! It was a really busy Westfield Saturday afternoon, there was a rugby game on at the stadium so extra busy, having a table in this little place got us away from the crowd.
It was a bit expensive and I didn’t get a choice with sandwiches (unfortunately there wasn’t any I could eat but I’m horribly fussy!). The scones were warm and fresh and the cakes were amazing.
Teapots could have been more generous..
Also I tried to book through open table and there was a mix up and I was booked at the cake shop inside the mall that didn’t have dining! When I called both branches the communication was hard and my booking wasn’t received until I contacted the main customer services! Long..
Still, I enjoyed!
The food was nice enough but the venue was squashed and cold.
Christmas treat
The prosecco cream tea was amazing great selection of sandwiches and cakes which all tasted fantastic
Can’t wait to go back again
Great late lunch before our visit to the stadium for the world athletics championships. Great location, perfect for people and "sports star" watching. Excellent service and nothing too much trouble. Great afternoon and a wide variety of food to cater for all!
Service was great our server was kind and friendly extremely inviting however I feel like the afternoon tea is severely over priced for what it is, desserts are messily presented with dirty finger marks all over the casings, the scones are very bread-like and honestly taste as if they've been bought from a supermarket, cutlery was dirty, sandwhiches extremely basic for what they are and how they are described. Honestly the worst afternoon tea I've ever had definitely will not be going again as it's extremely over priced for very poor quality food. Would not recommend to friends either.
Ambience was lovely, love the decor as well . Service wise , the waitress was too slow , had to call her more than once for assistance , we had booked for afternoon tea . For the price , the tea should have been bottomless or at least more than one cup ,
Otherwise , it was a lovely place
It was slightly disappointing in that the amount of tea supplied did not complement the afternoon tea presented. Was very shocked that hot water was not served to top up the pot, so when asked for additional tea, was more shocked to be charged for it. Afternoon tea in my mind includes the tea too! The cream supplied would barely cover one scone let alone 4! So all in all was surprised and will not be recommending afternoon tea. Service was slow despite them not being very busy. On requesting the bill, I was given the wrong one.
The address given on this website was actually for the kiosk inside the shopping center, which is not the correct location. The location itself is in the outside food court section closer to Nationwide.
The restaurant had a lot of room, but space between the tables seemed quite tight. It was quite when my friend and I arrived however I feel it would feel really cramped it the cafe was at full capacity.
The scones and desserts were simply delicious. However we were not given cream and when we asked were given butter. It is a odd as afternoon tea scones are traditionally served with cream. The tea pot given for one person was rather on the small side and held only enough for a cup and a half of tea.
In short, a nice place for afternoon tea if you are in the area but I personally wouldn't be in a big rush to go back.
Very easily the worst afternoon tea either of us have ever had. The sandwiches were horrible, the bread was hard as though they had been made hours before and not covered, the filling was tiny, one thin piece of dried up ham, two thin slices of cucumber and a dollop of cheap cream cheese. The sandwiches were cheap white bread, no butter, Absolutely awful!
One small pot of tea each enough for one cup , we had to pay extra for refills.
Scones okay, but other cakes like the bread dried up and possibly days old.
Waiter service appalling, we had to call them over everytime, even to take our order. They were friendly but inefficient.
