Afternoon Tea at Caffe Concerto The Village
Food was awful. Didn't get much for the money. The waitress had no idea what she was doing
The Afternoon Tea was amazing! Its not too pricey at all and the service is incredibly efficient. The atmosphere is amazing and has an amazing ambience. I would definitely recommend any afternoon tea lovers to come here!
We went for afternoon tea and found this place to be the most unfriendliest place to come to . We were shown our table and no one really made us feel welcome. We had our Granddaughter with us as she was celebrating her 9th birthday and even though I had mentioned this on my email to them no one made any sort of effort. We were given our tea and not once did anyone come and ask us if we were ok. We were even scared to ask for more tea so we asked for more hot water hoping that they would have given us fresh tea ,but alas that was not the case as they just topped our pot with hot water so had really weak tea. The food was decent but would have preferred a few more sandwiches. When we finished we just got up and walked out though the Manager who seemed also unfriendly shook my hand as he was passing us!! I certainly would not come back here for afternoon tea.
Very poor service and the waitresses could not speak english. It took me 4 attempts to order a tea and I ended up with the wrong one. Service was rubbish.
Staff made us feel uncomfortable the whole time we were there.
A pleasant genteel afternoon tea. My only gripe is that the teapots were so small that you needed another one and we were charged for extra pots. Afternoon tea should be bottomless amounts of tea; it is only water and a teabag. Tweak your pricing to achieve this.
Excellent service!! The gentleman that seated us was very professional with attention to detail I wish I took his name but I’m sure he was in charge
Brilliant experience!highly recommended..great price and great afternoon tea!
Lovely afternoon tea and great choice of specialty drinks, the waitress Yousra was lovely and very friendly and made the experience that much more memorable !
It was rubbish! Everything was dreadful! Pastry and sandwiches seemed to be from leftovers!
I was very embarrassed as I had invited a very good friend of mine to celebrate her success! Very disappointed. I did not let my daughter to touch the food as I it was not fresh at all!
Brilliant service. Kam (the manager?) was very friendly and polite.
Afternoon tea was great - even better with the groupon voucher ;)
The sandwiches were dry and I mentioned that one person didn’t eat meat they said they would do another salmon instead but they didn’t. We were not asked if everything was ok nor were we offered more tea. Two members of staff kept looking at us as if to say we were taking too long. Our booking was at 1pm and we left at 2.20pm so I don’t think that is too long for afternoon tea.
The booking was difficult, the sandwiches were dry as if the stand was pre assembled. Once the afternoon tea had been given to us no one offered us any more tea or asked if everything was ok. While we were there there was what appeared to be a staff meeting that got rather heated.
Selection of cakes could be better
Overall would recommend it
Wonderful staff, so friendly and funny! Will definitely be coming back very soon. Thank you!
Yes I thought the food was good and the decor was nice. The let down was the service
The ambient and food quality are good, however the service is terrible, no one comes to serve you at any times. The place was empty at the time but the staff were always busy with something else??? never available...
Ample introduction to afternoon tea. Decent value for money. Great ambience and staff
Booking is unnecessary as people queue outside and are seated in order of arrival (after being ignored for 15 mins - even after stating we had a booking as being told someone would come and give us a table). Afternoon tea is average and not very good value. Haven’t tried the cakes but they look good though.
Delicious afternoon tea, very helpful staff in a lovely setting
I came to have afternoon tea with my sisters for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing. Loved everything about the decor and food and the staff were so friendly.
Food wasnt great, sandwiches were standard. Scones were ok.
The food and ambiance we're wonderful. We did have to keep looking for our server as did other tables. she was pretty busy flirting with the bartender the entire time. Other than that it was very enjoyable for our first tea time experience.
Great venue and staff, nice and relaxed
My dad loved it!
I did have a lovely experience and I thought the environment was beautiful although I have been to a lot of afternoon tea’s across London: The Shard, Cafe Rouge, Patisserie Valerie and so on. I would have rated Caffe Concerto the best and of value for money IF the drinks were unlimited like other tea rooms such as Patisserie Valerie who charge £10 less for the experience. Even if the pot was larger as it only brewed two small tea cups whereas even Cafe Rouge offer a larger pot. The clotted cream at Concerto however was by far the best cream myself and my partner had tried. It was overall lovely, the only downfall comes down to the comparison with others based on only having one hot drink at Concerto whilst being £10 more expensive than alternative afternoon tea rooms who offer a larger quantity of tea. Also the service was very standard and not as cheerful as other tearooms which was why I was surprised at the service charge though I understand it is more so because of the location.
The person who seated us did not have us on his list and said they did not take booking from Opentable, he was openly annoyed with us as he lead us to a table.
The glasses of water smelled of wine, the tea was served 30 min before the cakes so the tea was cold. We were only given a small jug of milk for 4 people and when I asked for more was given half a small jug. Some of the sandwiches had clearly been standing for sometime the bread was dry on the outside and the scones dry crumbly. It was mothering Sunday and there was nothing special about the experience.
Horrible service. Ruined my mums Mother’s Day! Staff didn’t know what they were doing and didn’t even know if the meat was halal.... 🙄
Excellent service and a warm and friendly welcome. The sandwiches, cakes and pastries were absolutely delicious! The elegant and comfortable surroundings made it an afternoon to remember - in fact, so impressed were my husband and I by the whole experience that we intend to go back for a meal, sonetime in the near future.
Service was not good here. They took so long to serve us, I had to get their attention. Then we asked for an orange juice 3 times before it got served to my pregnant sister!
Both waitresses on the day failed to bring the orange juice, I had to ask the manager to get it.
Recommendations from one of the waitresses was not accurate enough. We asked whether the green tea was caffeine free and she did not know. I don’t think I will be visiting this store again. Shame as the food was nice.
Lovely decor, good service and nice afternoon tea... Although different selections of sandwiches would be good, rather than just 2 types. Cakes were delicious!
the staff were friendly the food was ok & overall we we happy with the way staff were with us. we felt welcome when we arrived. we really enjoyed our time there.
Went there with my other half for the afternoon tea it was nice but I would prefer to have two plates of savory and one sweet or if we can choose what we want.
Overall really nice would recommend it if you want to go for a quiet afternoon.
The service here was appalling. We arrived and was not greeted or showed to our seating, even though we had booked in advanced. Nobody acknowledge us for about 35mins. When we finally got the attention of the waiteress she wasn't apologetic or in a hurry to finally get the afternoon tea we had come for and we finished our hot drinks before it arrived. As we had our little babies with us we asked for a high chair and recieved a bill even though we had already paid for our afternoon tea online, this was corrected however I was still very unhappy with the whole experience and I will not be coming here again and will not recommend this establishment to anyone I know, but I will be saying how terrible it was there.
Reservation online was not acknowledged in the cafe. Service was not attentive but adequate.
To be honest the service was not good. We had to keep asking what came with the afternoon tea. We weren't offered tea or coffee. The sandwiches tasted like they had been sitting there for a while . Scones were nice but cakes weren't great.
My mother-in-law was visiting so I booked Cafe Concerto at Westfield White City for an afternoon tea. We were impressed with the service, the food was lovely (classic sandwiches that were nice and fresh and big scones with plenty of cream and jam, then an enticing array of delicious cakes and mousses) and I felt it was definitely value for money. We couldn't eat everything but our leftovers were elegantly boxed up for us to take away. The only let-down was the ladies' loos - they need some work done to match the general ambience of the place as they were a little below par! But all in all a really lovely afternoon tea experience and my mother-in-law was impressed and wants a return visit!
it was embarrassing that my booking was not received at the restaurant, although they had availability. The food in my opinion was nice but over priced
Upon arrival, we were told that our booking had not gone through due to a change in the booking system (we followed the link from the Cafe Concerto Website!) but the manager managed to find a table for us which was dirty at first but promptly cleaned. Due to the lost booking, our order was retaken and then we had a very long wait of about 45 minutes which was definitely too long. The tea then arrived and it was adequate, the sandwiches were a little squashed and there was no beef as advertised. The scones were very good and some of the cakes were nice, though we were not fond of the nuclear waste-like lemony tart which didn't taste of much.
Overall we were disappointed with the experience and wouldn't return to Cafe Concerto for afternoon tea.
We were a part of 6 for Afternoon Tea. Ambience and decor was stunning. The staff and service are always amazing. Cannot fault them, especially the manager, he is lovely! Sandwiches I wasnt very impressed by, have had much tastier ones elsewhere at better prices.
Overall I would reccomend to try this place. Last time we tried the chicken breast with butter sauce, that was exquisite!
