Little afternoon tea indulgence and the experience was wonderful. The Corinthia isn’t the hotel on thinks of in London for the afternoon tea experience. But it is a must. If you have done the savoy, Dorchester or the Ritz for afternoon tea I don’t think you’ll have had half the experience I have had being at The Corinthia! Understated Elegance !
Violetta our waitress was superb
Such a lovely courteous young lady
Tea was good felt sandwich selection very poor compared to others
Cakes and scones delicious
Wow. Our experience at the Corinthia was amazing. A birthday treat for me and my mum we visited the winter garden for some food and drinks and then moved onto the afternoon tea - which is fantastic (the food, music and service!). Violetta served us and she couldn't of done more to ensure we had the best time - she really is an asset to the Corinthia. I would 100% recommend visiting. I cant wait to go back and see more of what the hotel has to offer!
Afternoon Tea at Corinthia London was a good experience, but I can't share all these enthusiastic reviews providing the highest rates to it !
After being seated we had to wait app 10 min the service to come to our table, and tea was not hot enough.
Nevertheless, food was of exceptional quality. I invited my partner to have tea in a descent place after a busy day in London, and he liked food there, though usually he does't eat sandwiches with mayo. In short, it is worth going there, but once is enough (for us).
The whole experience was amazing. As a family we do a Christmas Afternoon Tea every year. This was the first at the Corinthia but it won't be our last!
As good as afternoon tea gets - we had a lovely afternoon
Really nice Christmas treat
Staff were outstanding
Very unobtrusive but attentive
We had an excellent experience at our festive afternoon tea! I'd highly recommend this experience. Excellent food and ambience. Paulo and the team provided great service. We'll definitely be back!
Best food i've had at an afternoon tea - really lovely Festive tea, sandwiches were fresh, creative, and full of flavour. Loved the scones, came in a beautiful box and again nice touches from the festive jams.
Staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome
Loved the tea. The food was delicious and service excellent. I have done many teas in top London hotels and have to say this was one of the best.
Decorations were lovely and bought home that it will be Christmas in 3 weeks.
This was my second visit to The Corinthia Hotel, and again i was impressed and enjoyed my visit for Afternoon Tea. The restaurant was beautifully done up in the Christmas theme and the staff very welcoming. The food was amazing and the atmosphere excellent.
Great Service, lovely venue.
Wonderful treat. Beautiful food and experience.
Superb service, great champagne & the selection of non-dairy afternoon tea options was exceptional. A wonderful afternoon tea
Sélection of sandwiches and cakes is delicious, atmosphere is soft and comfortable, we loved the
various elements of presentation and the service was excellent.
I had wonderful time today. Everything was perfect except there was no written of “ happy birthday “ on the plate as requested. However we enjoyed it. Thank you for lovely experience.
I stay at the Corinthia at least once per year with my pruner and usually have afternoon tea there. Went for afternoon tea as our UK tradition and it’s as if they have gotten hit hard by COVID. I paid £75 per person for some dry sandwiches that I could have made at home. No roast beef and mustard no coronation chicken salad. All of those replaced by some cheap chicken and salmon on white bread. The pastries weren’t that great VERY disappointed. Coronthia please bring back your other sandwiches and your yummy pastries the only thing that was the same was your amazing strawberry jam and scones. I hated leaving this review as everyone is having such a hard time but I just had to let others know.
A beautiful end to a beautiful stay at the hotel.
Easily the best tea in London. Great service, beautiful setting and lovely food. Especially in these challenging times a couple of hours at the Corinthia was a nice break from life.
Our visit to the Corinthia for Afternoon Tea completely completely exceeded all our expectations. Every aspect was absolutely fantastic and truly memorable.
I had purchased afternoon tea for my wife as a present at the beginning of the year. I intended for this to be used before a show for my wife and one of her friends. Due to the new world we are now in, this couldn’t be used this way so I visited for my first afternoon tea.
We were greeted at reception and shown to our table. The area was lovely and the waiters were very attentive.
The sandwiches were delicious and there was a nice selection of teas.
The scones came next that were homemade and delicious. The cakes followed this and then more cakes. A nice surprise was a small cake for my birthday next month.
I can honestly say that I could not have eaten any more.
The pianist came by and asked if there was anything we wanted him to play, his playing was brilliant.
We will definitely visit again.
Delectable finger Sandwiches in a gorgeous light filled lobby with utmost professional service
Elegant food, excellent service, nice atmosphere, not stuffy at all
Great service. Was a little cold by the reception and it is very expensive, but the wife wanted to go for a treat!!
Amazing. My wife and I had a marvellous time. Best afternoon tea in town. Service and staff were first class. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Exceptional on every level
Brilliant afternoon tea, up there with the best in London. The staff were friendly and really helpful. There was a lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes. We loved the idea of having the cake trolley too. There was more than enough food and we had to take some away. We would return and recommend.
What a wonderful afternoon well looked after and fantastic food.
Absolutely brilliant, I've not seen service like it, will be back x
The staff were so friendly and accommodating, definitely will be going back
Great food and lovely service in an elegant room
Had such a lovely visit this week! The food was delicious, and the staff were so lovely. I didn’t manage to catch anyone’s names but everyone who served us was so attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend, and I’m sure I’ll be back soon!
The Corinthia has a wonderful setting for Afternoon tea in the Crystal Moon Lounge, the room is delightful with a modern autumnal feel with lovely flowers and chandelier in the middle. The Piano set in the entrance adds a touch of class and the pianist was very good, clearly passionate about his music. It was our wedding anniversary and we were congratulated upon entry and kindly given a cake slice to celebrate which was a lovely touch. Even nicer was the staff taking it upon themselves to change the cake last minute when the fact that my wife does not like chocolate came up in conversation.
The sandwiches were good especially the egg and truffle. All meat and chicken is halal however there was a ham option on the menu, a little strange, would have been nice to have been switched to beef instead but this was a minor flaw. The scones were warm and sizeable served in a lovely box to keep them warm. The clotted cream was lovely and smooth and the rhubarb jam preserve was a great autumnal addition. The pastries were delicious particularly the Tartlet and Religieuse. In addition the sharing cake trolley was a unique addition with the Financiers particularly moreish.
There is a healthy selection of teas available. The Mango Noir was exceptional as well as the Mellow exclusive black tea, The team proactively provide recommendations which is nice and also took a genuine interest in how we were finding the teas.
Having experienced many afternoon tea in London the service was exceptional and up there with the best. The staff were warm, welcoming attentive and professional with a real focus on the little things to elevate and make the experience special. They even asked in a really friendly manner if we would like to take any additional new items home but we were stuffed (although I do regret it now! :).
For anyone looking at the top afternoon tea venues in London, Corinthia should most certainly be at the top of the list.
First time having afternoon tea here, I read the reviews and decided this would be the perfect treat for my mother’s 60th birthday and wow, what a great choice it was!
Food was amazing and there was plenty of it! Sandwiches were beautiful and the desserts were so delicious. Took some cakes home in a beautiful doggy bag. They brought out a little sweet treat with an edible happy birthday dressing and a sweet candle, it was a lovely extra to our special day!
Staff were AMAZING. We were treated almost like royalty. Friendly, very attentive and welcoming. Big thank you to Luca for looking after us, what a pleasant man and also the lovely pianist who welcomed us, had a lovely conversation and played happy birthday and many wonderful songs.
The room was beautiful. Wonderfully decorated.
Lovely time to catch up with one of my close girlfriends! Would definitely return for another long afternoon of tea and Champagne :)
To celebrate my partner’s national day in Taiwan.
Amazing afternoon tea, service was great, fantastic piano man !
The best afternoon tea I’ve ever had. The service and hospitality was 5*
The best afternoon tea experience. The service and quality of sandwiches, scones and desserts were incredible. I cannot thank the Corinthia enough for such a delightful and memorable afternoon.
