Fabulous afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings. Staff were all charming and efficient. A lovely way to spend a few hours.
I have taken Afternoon tea a few times now at different hotels. I must say yesterday was Fabulous!!
The service was attentive but not over the top.
The food was Delicous and so generous .
I loved the Valentine menu and having a rose to take home was a nice touch
Will def come again!!
Very acceptable Valentine's day experience for myself and my wife. The one big plus point here was privacy. I felt we could have a completely private conversation (unlike say tea at the Dorchester). The decor was very nice too. The scones were excellent and hot and fresh from the oven. However the selection of teas was not great. And my wife wanted a very traditional English tea and they only had fancy ones. Also I didn't understand their policy of serving sandwiches before tea. I was thirsty when I arrived and we had to wait until after the sandwiches for tea. Very bad idea. Also I had to beg them for pastries. Why not just bring it all out at once or at least give us the option. Having said that the service was very good and very attentive. My wife also loved that they gave her a valentines biscuit and rose. Very nice touch. I must say I preferred this experience over the Dorchester. I would recommend.
The afternoon tea at The Corinthia is a wonderful experience. Great food, ambience and service.
From start to finish the Corinthia gave a wonderful experience we have had many high teas in London and this one ranked as the best. The staff had excellent knowledge of the magnificent range of teas and nothiywas too much trouble
We couldn’t help but over indulge
We will be back soon
We had the most relaxed afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was a Birthday my friend will always remember. I have to say, I have never been outdone by cake but you made it happen !
Fantastic and Thank you all.
Absolutely stunning afternoon tea in every way! We went here for my birthday and it is one of the best afternoon teas I have ever had. I have tried most of the top places in London for afternoon tea and I would say this is my favourite. The whole experience was wonderful and the staff were so attentive. The sandwiches were delicious, the scones were amazing and the cakes were just perfect. I could not fault any aspect of this afternoon tea. To top it all off, the decor was simply beautiful!
The whole experience was very enjoyable, especially that of our server FIDAN, who in our minds completed a very special day.
This was a gift from our daughter. We decided to share it with friends to make it more special. Our booking was for 3.30 pm but we arrived early and our table was ready which was lucky as you only allow 1 1/2 hours for tea. Most other teas are 2 hours. The service was excellent and the food delicious however for the price the 1 1/2 hours allowed is disappointing.
We booked Afternoon Tea at the Corinthia Hotel for a birthday celebration. There we’re 5 in our party.
We were seated on low seating in a U shape made up of 3 sofas, so 2 of us sat on the left sofa, 2 on the bottom sofa and 1 on the right hand sofa with 2 low tables between us, there was way too much distance between the 2 parallel sofas for any form of conversation.
The sandwiches and cakes were nice, however, the scones option was a disappointment- as I don’t like clotted cream I asked for butter which was provided, but it had a terrible taste. The strawberry jam was too runny & sweet and the rhubarb jam had too much cinnamon in it.
When the birthday cake slice was brought out, it was just presented without any accompanying ‘happy birthday’ by the pianist.
We had an ok afternoon but we won’t be returning.
Our favourite place in London for Afternoon Tea is The Savoy and that is where we will go for the next birthday celebration.
Was the most amazing afternoon tea experience I have ever had would highly recommend to anybody.
The price is also affordable which is nice as makes this beautiful hotel accessible to everybody.
Will definitely go back.
I booked afternoon tea as a treat for my husband 's birthday having watched a documentary about the hotel. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The floral arrangements were fabulous all shades of pink and red roses and peonies from the in house florist. The ambience was great and ordinary people like ourselves were made to feel special by the impeccable service. The manager, Thomas, was a visible presence and I'm sure the success of his management style will make this hotel shine. The food was all first class and a small explanation given to what ingredients were used. The best afternoon I've ever had
Fantastic experience! I couldn’t have asked for more. The waitress knew our names, was very attentive, we were offered more of everything and my boyfriend even got a birthday cake witch candle! We were both delighted with the experience and have been recommending it to everyone!
Lovely ambiance for the afternoon tea. Food was delicious and plentiful. The seating at the smaller two person tables was a little awkward and may not be suitable for all diners.
Excellent - one of the best afternoon teas we have experienced
The Afternoon Tea itself was delicious & generous. Service was super. However...the Crystal Moon Lounge is in an open area between two sets of entrance doors. This is unfortunate because 1. it is a thoroughfare for people moving through the hotel, and 2. it was very cold & draughty. We were there on an exceptionally wintery day but these issues would remain whatever the time of year.
We asked to move tables because the first table for two we were given involved sitting with our backs to the central round table...so not facing each other or our table. You couldn’t turn the chair towards the table because the table was such that you couldn’t put your legs underneath it. It doesn’t work and made us feel very much ‘on display’!
Food and champagne flowing all afternoon
My only criticism would be that when you have had all of the tea/food, the waiting staff didn’t come near you, we had wait a while until we could get attention and pay the bill
Food was lovely, unfortunately location of the afternoon is near to the booking in area. Lots of foot traffic coming through whilst eating. However, lovely venue
This was just the most amazing experience from start to finish, the staff simply can’t do enough for you - a touch of heaven on earth - highly recommend
Exceptional. In every way. You get what you pay for and every moment was enjoyed by both of us to create a lasting memory!
Afternoon tea is incredible. Every tiny detail has been considered. The ambience is perfect, the staff attentive, friendly and extremely friendly. The food is amazing, the sandwiches so tasty and the scones warm. Cakes are out of this world. Kevin who plays the piano is also fabulous. Loved every minute.
Very special place for a birthday day tea. Delicious food, delightful service.
Superb ambience created by a combination of elegant decor and soothing piano. Attentive and engaging staff with unlimited, tasty sandwiches, scones and cakes. Very easy to over-indulge!
Lovely ambience, great food and attentive service. Enjoyed our afternoon tea very much
Great setting, food and service. Fantastic attention to detail.
The sandwiches were a little too cold, they would have been better at room temp, but they were still delicious. The cream cheese one seemed a little cheap offering considering the cost of high tea but overall it was a lovely experience.
Very enjoyable afternoon tea. The service was impeccable and we spent two and a half hours soaking up the ambience. They were very caring about my daughter's allergies, one of which is egg. However, even though I appreciate an egg free afternoon tea is tricky on a mass scale, I do believe the Corinthia could do a little better with the cake selection. I would definitely return.
Stunning afternoon, food was amazing and the staff and service was flawless
This was a special treat for a very good friend for her birthday. From the moment we arrived (15 minutes early) to the moment we left, we were treated like royalty.
Even though we arrived early, we were seated immediately.
The service was impeccable, the food and tea were delicious... and the rose champagne was out of this world.
The staff even gave to my friend a gift of a cake with ‘Happy Birthday’ written on the plate with chocolate sauce.
A truly memorable occasion and I look forward to returning in the future.
A really good Afternoon tea
We had a lovely tea - lots of delicious sandwiches with top ups, gorgeous scones and a doggy bag full of scrumptious cakes as we couldn’t eat anything else!! Lovely champagne glasses and cups, saucers and plates. Great farewell to my lovely friend from Oz
Very disappointed as I expected high standards from the waiting staff. Throughout out afternoon tea they forgot our requests on multiple occasions. This included forgetting milk for the tea, cutlery and water that we had to ask three times for. The food was brilliant, the waiting, very bad.
A lovely spirit of generosity throughout. Interesting & different flavours & impeccable service. We had a lovely time, felt very looked after & welcome.
My only gripe is that our table must have been close to some sort of smoking area because every so often we were aware of a significant & unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke.
Fabulous afternoon tea served by exceptional staff in a delightful area of the hotel. The experience is one not to miss.
Nice afternoon tea. Sadly, as it begins at 2pm I had to do without caffeine and there were no black tea decaf options. The sandwiches were lovely, scones presented in a cute box were warm and delicious but the desserts were disappointing.
Service not as expected
Wind blows through every time the door is open so a cold experience
A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon tea. Whilst the service was good it was a little too attentive and we almost felt rushed even though the table was allocated for two hours. The cake selection was slightly too sweet and too much emphasis on chocolate and cream. The sandwiches were excellent as were the scones. The strawberry jam was a little too runny and the rhubarb and tonka jam is certainly an acquired taste! The selection of teas was comprehensive. The birthday candle was a thoughtful touch which was appreciated. Definitely worth a visit.
Afternoon Tea for two. Tasty & plentiful sandwiches, mixed scones & fancies. The fancies selection included marshmallows which had mainly alternative flavours and didn’t add anything to the experience because of this. The food was good but not outstanding in our opinion, however the tea selection is excellent. We each chose a different black tea and both were delicious. The service was warm, friendly yet professional and we felt very relaxed. The whole booking process was easy and worked.
We had a lovely experience. The food was outstanding and the waitress could not do enough for us. All was served in the most beautiful surroundings. We will definitely come back again.
