Very acceptable Valentine's day experience for myself and my wife. The one big plus point here was privacy. I felt we could have a completely private conversation (unlike say tea at the Dorchester). The decor was very nice too. The scones were excellent and hot and fresh from the oven. However the selection of teas was not great. And my wife wanted a very traditional English tea and they only had fancy ones. Also I didn't understand their policy of serving sandwiches before tea. I was thirsty when I arrived and we had to wait until after the sandwiches for tea. Very bad idea. Also I had to beg them for pastries. Why not just bring it all out at once or at least give us the option. Having said that the service was very good and very attentive. My wife also loved that they gave her a valentines biscuit and rose. Very nice touch. I must say I preferred this experience over the Dorchester. I would recommend.

Absolutely stunning afternoon tea in every way! We went here for my birthday and it is one of the best afternoon teas I have ever had. I have tried most of the top places in London for afternoon tea and I would say this is my favourite. The whole experience was wonderful and the staff were so attentive. The sandwiches were delicious, the scones were amazing and the cakes were just perfect. I could not fault any aspect of this afternoon tea. To top it all off, the decor was simply beautiful!

This was a gift from our daughter. We decided to share it with friends to make it more special. Our booking was for 3.30 pm but we arrived early and our table was ready which was lucky as you only allow 1 1/2 hours for tea. Most other teas are 2 hours. The service was excellent and the food delicious however for the price the 1 1/2 hours allowed is disappointing.

We booked Afternoon Tea at the Corinthia Hotel for a birthday celebration. There we’re 5 in our party.

We were seated on low seating in a U shape made up of 3 sofas, so 2 of us sat on the left sofa, 2 on the bottom sofa and 1 on the right hand sofa with 2 low tables between us, there was way too much distance between the 2 parallel sofas for any form of conversation.

The sandwiches and cakes were nice, however, the scones option was a disappointment- as I don’t like clotted cream I asked for butter which was provided, but it had a terrible taste. The strawberry jam was too runny & sweet and the rhubarb jam had too much cinnamon in it.

When the birthday cake slice was brought out, it was just presented without any accompanying ‘happy birthday’ by the pianist.

We had an ok afternoon but we won’t be returning.

Our favourite place in London for Afternoon Tea is The Savoy and that is where we will go for the next birthday celebration.

I booked afternoon tea as a treat for my husband 's birthday having watched a documentary about the hotel. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The floral arrangements were fabulous all shades of pink and red roses and peonies from the in house florist. The ambience was great and ordinary people like ourselves were made to feel special by the impeccable service. The manager, Thomas, was a visible presence and I'm sure the success of his management style will make this hotel shine. The food was all first class and a small explanation given to what ingredients were used. The best afternoon I've ever had

Fantastic experience! I couldn’t have asked for more. The waitress knew our names, was very attentive, we were offered more of everything and my boyfriend even got a birthday cake witch candle! We were both delighted with the experience and have been recommending it to everyone!

The Afternoon Tea itself was delicious & generous. Service was super. However...the Crystal Moon Lounge is in an open area between two sets of entrance doors. This is unfortunate because 1. it is a thoroughfare for people moving through the hotel, and 2. it was very cold & draughty. We were there on an exceptionally wintery day but these issues would remain whatever the time of year.
We asked to move tables because the first table for two we were given involved sitting with our backs to the central round table...so not facing each other or our table. You couldn’t turn the chair towards the table because the table was such that you couldn’t put your legs underneath it. It doesn’t work and made us feel very much ‘on display’!

The sandwiches were a little too cold, they would have been better at room temp, but they were still delicious. The cream cheese one seemed a little cheap offering considering the cost of high tea but overall it was a lovely experience.

Very enjoyable afternoon tea. The service was impeccable and we spent two and a half hours soaking up the ambience. They were very caring about my daughter's allergies, one of which is egg. However, even though I appreciate an egg free afternoon tea is tricky on a mass scale, I do believe the Corinthia could do a little better with the cake selection. I would definitely return.

This was a special treat for a very good friend for her birthday. From the moment we arrived (15 minutes early) to the moment we left, we were treated like royalty.
Even though we arrived early, we were seated immediately.
The service was impeccable, the food and tea were delicious... and the rose champagne was out of this world.
The staff even gave to my friend a gift of a cake with ‘Happy Birthday’ written on the plate with chocolate sauce.
A truly memorable occasion and I look forward to returning in the future.

Very disappointed as I expected high standards from the waiting staff. Throughout out afternoon tea they forgot our requests on multiple occasions. This included forgetting milk for the tea, cutlery and water that we had to ask three times for. The food was brilliant, the waiting, very bad.

A lovely spirit of generosity throughout. Interesting & different flavours & impeccable service. We had a lovely time, felt very looked after & welcome.

My only gripe is that our table must have been close to some sort of smoking area because every so often we were aware of a significant & unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke.

Nice afternoon tea. Sadly, as it begins at 2pm I had to do without caffeine and there were no black tea decaf options. The sandwiches were lovely, scones presented in a cute box were warm and delicious but the desserts were disappointing.

A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon tea. Whilst the service was good it was a little too attentive and we almost felt rushed even though the table was allocated for two hours. The cake selection was slightly too sweet and too much emphasis on chocolate and cream. The sandwiches were excellent as were the scones. The strawberry jam was a little too runny and the rhubarb and tonka jam is certainly an acquired taste! The selection of teas was comprehensive. The birthday candle was a thoughtful touch which was appreciated. Definitely worth a visit.

Afternoon Tea for two. Tasty & plentiful sandwiches, mixed scones & fancies. The fancies selection included marshmallows which had mainly alternative flavours and didn’t add anything to the experience because of this. The food was good but not outstanding in our opinion, however the tea selection is excellent. We each chose a different black tea and both were delicious. The service was warm, friendly yet professional and we felt very relaxed. The whole booking process was easy and worked.
