Afternoon Tea at Holiday Inn Manchester City
On arrival, we had no booking, they said Open Table hadn't sent it through. The hotel wasn't going to seat us until I showed my booking confirmation. With the booking not being confirmed with the hotel, we were told that not everything on the menu was available. When ask about dietary requirement, one person from our party asked if they could make sure they got egg mayonnaise and chicken. When the food came, nobody got any of these sandwiches, so we asked again if we could have an egg mayonnaise sandwich. Twenty minutes later, out came the sandwich and it was a cheese and pickle. We complained again and was told it would take fifteen minutes to boil the egg, at this point we said "that's fine, we will wait" Another twenty minutes later and still no sandwich, we complained to the manager that we had been there for over an hour and still not got a sandwich that was asked for at the very beginning. At this point, the manager replied "I don't think you have been waiting that long!" Once the sandwich arrived, it turned out to be mayonnaise with three tiny bits of egg. That was one afternoon tea we refused to pay for.
