Delicious Charbonnel et Walker Afternoon Tea. Sandwiches were tasty with quirky flavours. Particularly enjoyed Smoked Salmon on Sour Cherry Bread. Scones were fresh from the oven and still warm when we ate them. Light, fluffy and perfect. Cakes and desserts were delicious. Truffles were a lovely touch.
Service was great. Staff checked we were enjoying our food and regularly topped up our hot drinks.
Will definitely return!

Afternoon tea of great value! Using different bread for the sandwiches was a pleasant surprise. The sweets were also delicious. Probably because it was still lunchtime, people around were engaging in their conversations which made the environment a little noisy for me. Overall this is a great experience and I would definitely visit again.

Monmouth Kitchen has a great ambience, beautiful interior decor and the Afternoon Tea is also good value for its location in Seven Dials. However, our visit was somewhat marred by possible miscommunication between the wait staff and the kitchen - we were seated at 4:40 pm and a member of our party arrived 10 minutes later, which is when we informed the waitress that we were ready to be served our food. However, by 5:40 pm, we had only been served our drinks and so we had to inquire to our food. This finally arrived at 5:45 pm, a full hour after the first of our party arrived, and seemed rushed - some of the scones were soggy on the bottom, and some of the finger sandwiches were slightly smaller than the others. That being said, the service was impeccable - the wait staff offered us free prosecco as an apology to the wait, and were very responsive to our feedback about the food. I would return, but would probably suggest picking an earlier time for afternoon tea so you don't end up starting around supper time in case of delays!

Fantastic food, new and exciting tastes to share tapas-style from a wide selection of cultures, tailored to spice cravers, ceviche connoisseurs, and leaf lovers all sharing a table for lunch. Learned a thing or two about South American food from our charming and attentive host as the plates arrived, even shared some experiences of food from the past, nostalgically. At the end an artisanal congratulatory chocolate plate arrived to top off a top experience. Very decent white wine selections kept the conversation at the right temperature. We are coming back! Hasta luego...

I had booked the afternoon tea as a Christmas present for my brother and sister-in-law and was very pleased with the selection and quality of this. I would definitely recommend the afternoon tea as an excellent alternative to the usual "tea"

Nice twist on the traditional English afternoon tea. Scone flavours were not as punchy as I had hoped they would be but the salmon tacos, the bruschetta and the whole of the top tier were delicious!

Great food, nice tea selection. The service left something to be desired. It would take 5 to 10 minutes for a pot of tea to make it's way to the table after ordering, which the waiter/waitress would pour into your cup straight away, even if it was not brewed at all yet. My partner had an empty pot removed without querying whether or not she would like a replacement, we had to ask for another one after about 10 minutes. I finished the booking with a hot chocolate that was room temperature by the time it arrived, and then had to ask for the bill twice as the waiter forgot to bring it.
After saying that, the food is amazing. Everything tastes seriously fresh. The bruschettas and tacos are spot on. The scones are tasty and the cakes are amazing (flourless chocolate orange cake in particular). Definitely worth visiting!

A pleasant afternoon tea!
As usual the service was exceptional and Lara and her team were attentive and very helpful. Overall the food was delicious and I liked the choices of bruschetta, the panna cotta and the tiny tacos. Although the scones were quite dry! Tea was unlimited and there was the option to have processo at an extra cost. Makes a nice change from the traditional English tea and worth a try!

Lovely afternoon tea. Casual and contemporary. Very friendly staff a must for those looking for a different experience from the very formal usual afternoon tea.

Had a fantastic afternoon tea here. I am gluten and lactose intolerant but this was not picked up on my booking. However the chef did a fabulous job of catering for me and the food was delicious. The ambience is lovely. A good place to sit and chat and catch up with friends. Great to bring kids along to as well. Would definitely recommend to others.

The restaurant did not have our reservation. Fortunately they did have a table for 7 people and were able to accommodate our group request. There seemed to be an issue with their system. I then get a call the following day confirming my reservation . Oh dear. Food was lovely and service was excellent was the drama they had discovered subsided.

Booked afternoon tea online last minute and was confirmed through Opentable - but when we got to the restaurant we had no reservation and could not have the afternoon tea as must be ordered 24hours in advance.
Did have lunch in the restaurant instead - portions are very small and service was slow. Took us 1 hour and half to get 5 tapas dishes between the group!

We had a lovely afternoon tea. Really nice flavour to everything and really friendly service. Book first if you want the tea because it gets full up very quickly!

We drove from Devon to get there and it was very much worth it

Thanks to all at the Monmouth Kitchen

Excellent service here, the waiters couldn't do enough for us. The afternoon tea was a modern twist on tradition, but very tasty food. I would definitely recommend.
