Beautiful ambience and wonderful service!
The art afternoon tea was amazing and kept in theme, the whole thing was just a bit pretentious and the venue didn’t suit the quirkiness of Yayois art
A really beautiful venue. Our waitress, Rebecca, made the afternoon special - she was knowledgeable and thoroughly attentive without being intrusive. The food was incredible and pastries a real work of art. Afternoon tea is a bit of a hobby of ours and the Rosewood definitely has a place on our ‘favourites’ list. We will be back!
Service was fantastic. Waiting staff very knowledgeable. Advised teas for each course, really friendly. Food is amazing, such talented chef. Definitely an afternoon tea experience.
Vegan options were not the best. The macaron wasn't cooked and desserts were overly sweet. Would be better if they were well balanced
I would recommend the Art afternoon tea at the Mirror Room. The food was not only beautiful but also delicious
Beautiful and tasty afternoon tea. Great selection of teas, fabulous sandwiches and scones and stunningly beautiful structural cakes!
Went for 'art' afternoon tea inspired by Yayoi Kusama.
Savouries and scones were nice, but the desserts all looked better than they tasted. Far too sweet, too rich and unbalanced in flavour execution. I actually like the flavours mentioned on the menu, but the balance was completely off. Everything was also gelatinous and gloppy. Even though we were only presented with one round of the 3rd course desserts to be shared, we struggled to finish them as they were so sickly.
I had read other reviews before coming here that the desserts were too sweet, however these reviews were from a year again. I thought they would have rectified the situation by now, but they haven’t, so be warned.
Service was indifferent and the managing waiter seemed snobby. We had to prompt them for a tea top-up. Service definitely was lacking the class and warmth shown by other top-end afternoon tea hotels.
Awkward backward slidey chairs were not suitable for dining.
At £84 per head including a glass of champagne and service charge, I left here feeling like I was scammed. Wish I had gone elsewhere.
Amazing afternoon tea with impeccable service from the very professional and attentive staff.
Amazing afternoon tea. Very accomodating with different dietary requirements.
Wonderful experience. This is our second anniversary celebrated here, and we are always delighted.
A very special birthday treat!
Expensive! But worth it. A lovely treat. Everything was beautiful and delicious and all the staff were very friendly. It was a lovely experience.
One of the most incredible afternoon tea I have had in a very long time the service was incredible and the food was to die for the little pasties and the flavours are delicious
A really wonderful day out, I cannot think of any way in which it could be improved.
The Mirror Room is beautiful. The afternoon tea sandwiches are different because of it's twist in taste. The dessert at the end was simply out of this world.
Best afternoon tea we have every had. Food, atmosphere and service were outstanding. Loved the subtle Japanese twist on the traditional afternoon tea.
The whole experience was lovely. Our waiter made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us.
He explained what each of the sandwiches/cakes were and was permanently around without being too intrusive!
Beautiful cakes/patisserie and the lightest scones .
The Mirror Room offers the best Afternoon Tea I have ever experienced.
Each offering is an exquisite masterpiece inspired by a work of art, both in its presentation and its ingredients.
This is no gimmick, as the food is decadently delicious and a wonder never to be forgotten.
The service is charming, knowledgeable and attentive, without ever being intrusive.
I am an extremely repeat customer and eagerly await my next visit.
Wonderful service and a lovely ambience! Thank you
Overall very nice and enjoyed it.
We found the food a little sweet and unusual though.
The scones were incredible, sandwiches lovely, sweets, and more so the final cakes, a little on the sweet and strange side for us.
This is the second time we have been for afternoon tea and it didn’t disappoint. Nice atmosphere although very quiet. Food was very good. Actually probably a bit too much cake! Don’t think u need the second round of cakes too. Not very forthcoming with the tea top ups-probably need a fresh pot rather than just keep adding hot water. However we have been to lots of different afternoon teas in London and this remains one of our favourites.
Thank you so much had a lovely baby shower Afternoon tea here on Saturday, service and food was great. The waiter was very paitent with our noisy group and made us feel welcome and not rushed. Would highly reccomend
Fantastic scones with lemon curd. Love the crema catalana, the weeping women, bull's head, and head of woman which was light. Felt that the oh those guitars was a bit heavy.
One of the best afternoon tea that i ever had so far.
Sandwiches were tasty and the sweets were very artistic and presented with flair. Exceptional and attentive service the whole time. The surroundings were luxurious and you definitely pay for what your get
Excellent afternoon tea. Very knowledagble staff who will give tips and tea recommendations to maximise your experience. Felt very safe during Covid-19 times (visited Dec 2020).
Had an amazing experience. The staff were very professional and friendly. The food and tea was really great, and they are dog-friendly which meant we could enjoy it with our dog. Awesome!
Venue was quiet so little ambience. Advertised as Christmas afternoon tea but only festive element was a tree at the other end of the dining room & occasional Christmas tint played very quietly. When asked for more tea, initially just refilled tea pot with warm water. Only after commented was it rectified. Cakes looked amazing but bland taste all same texture. Bit disappointed
Nothing not to like. If you want a special afternoon tea, try it. My daughter and me loved it.
Amazing l service and food! Couldn’t recommend enough
Amazing intricately decorated desserts themed currently around Picasso (I’ve been previously and it was different artists so this must change regularly). They have non-alcoholic champagne alternative which was very pleasant, like a semi sweet sparkling rose. Lots of choice of teas from around the world, delicious finger sandwiches, scones and jam, dainty desserts and then 3 sharing showstopper cakes. Really enjoyable treat and the setting is very luxurious so would be perfect for celebrations. I took Mom and she was very pleased!
We had an excellent afternoon tea at The Rosewood. The menu is innovative, but provides the perfect balance between the novel and the comforting. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. The building itself (the old Pearl Assurance HQ) is very impressive, but they did manage to create an intimate space amidst the grand, Edwardian setting. Location is good - close to The British Museum, Holborn tube and not too far to walk (20 mins) from Waterloo Station. As you can tell...we enjoyed our visit.
We went for afternoon tea on Sunday, I have been several times, but my friend had never been before. The service was exemplary. Could not have been more accommodating, informative and friendly. The food was beautifully presented and excellent. Our servers, Manuel and Jamie were amazing and made the whole experience so very special. Best afternoon tea in London.
Everything is just wonderful!
TOO Expensive for a few sandwiches.
the sauvery food wasn't great and it was 75£ per head! for afternoon tea without alcohol that is too expensive.
We truly had an outstanding experience!
We are very happy that we chose to do the tea tasting in addition to the “high tea” as that was a wonderful experience learning about the teas. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and wonderful in explaining all the nuances of each different tea.
The only comment I have about anything I would have “changed” is more savoury food with the scones rather than the sweet tastings. The scones with the jams are already sweet, so a little savoury (mini quiche maybe?), to balance and helpful in indulging in the materspiece final dessert course.
Otherwise, I have to say it was the best tea experience I have had.
Wonderful experience! Definitely one of the best afternoon teas in London!
Beautiful space and decor, outstanding service. We were there for the afternoon tea experience. Felt the food was just ok, not entirely worth the high price. Desserts were pretty but tasted just ok. Salty selection could have been a bit better, was quite basic. Would come back to try restaurant food but not for the expensive afternoon tea experience.
