Booked table for 10 on the app but the place did not open till 10.30, staff rudely told us come back when we are open, even though its not our fault they advertised the opening times wrong, very disappointed
It’s sad that such an instagrammable place offers a really poor service. After seated down we had to wait for 20 min for a coffee and additional 25 min for 2 waffles... the staff told us that despite of the amount of food that we can eat we must spend min of 40 pounds during our visit or we will be charged the remaining on the card we have used for the booking. Which has happened as we have spent ‘only ‘£34 for 2 waffles and 2 basic coffees full of honey and sugar. We both share the opinion that it’s ridiculous to be forcing your customers to pay £40 for such food, despite how much you are even able to eat, which would be only a reasonable amount in case of dinner/ drinks.
Huge disappointment, and would not recommend this place to anyone. We have also witnessed angry customers leaving after hearing they must spend 40 pounds minimum.
If that wasn’t enough the staff was coming next to us and sprayed heavy cleaning detergents directly in front of our coffees!!! Just one word- awful.
A very limited selection. Left waiting an hour for a latte and piece of stale cake. Most of the items on the menu were not available. Service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. Lots of people coming in with smiles on their faces expecting great things then sat looking bewildered. There’s plenty of other cafes around. Take your insta photos if you want them outside then move on to a better cafe nearby. This place should be amazing and on a par with Peggys in Chelsea. What a shame
Absolutely beautiful space, delicious and creative food and drinks, and overall a wonderful experience! Would highly recommend!
Cute, but overall disappointed. Booked in advance for a trip to London, as the restaurant is undeniably adorable and I was eager to check out the hype for myself! While it is super cute and the cotton candy is beautiful and delicious, the service is quite unimpressive. When we went to order, on a Saturday at the lunch hour, the entire savory menu was unavailable. With gluten and dairy allergies, I unfortunately cannot have any of the waffles, milkshakes or pastries, so it basically made the whole menu unavailable expect for latte, tea, and cotton candy. There was no apology, explanation, or accommodation for the fact that half of the menu wasn’t available (key: we booked in advance, with a £40 table minimum - hard to meet that if you cannot eat anything). If you want a cute Instagram, it’s definitely picturesque, but overall the hype far exceeds the experience.
Beautiful cafe. Lots of sweet treats. It's a pity afternoon tea is not on offer anymore. Great for photographs
Such a charming and adorable little cafe. The food was delicious and all of the little touches made our visit an experience to remember!
The food was tasted as good as it looked! The entire place was so cute, and the staff was amazingly attentive!
A beautiful coffee shop and great staff. The detail in each individual coffee ordered was amazing and tasted good too. We had such as great time there and will be re attending soon.
Instagram hyped this place up. Overpriced and underwhelming. Service was below average. Waitress showed little interest
Amazing atmosphere, excellent service.
Can’t wait to come back
My granddaughter and I were visiting Paris and thought this would be a lovely place to have dessert. I was very disappointed in the interior decor. No way done as nice as portrayed. The dishes used, the inexpensive paper napkin, and the average food could have been so much better. The restroom was blah! This could be a great concept, but it needs a total makeover to charge the prices they do. Service was poor, sorry but I will not recommend it to anyone.
Must visit when in London! Staff lovely food very unusual and creative. Surprised to read others upset over table minimum spend. Walk ins are free, and the spend is very well communicated so I don’t think it’s right to judge the whole experience on this. It’s only £20 pp which is well priced for the options on the menu. Everything is laced with gold and an instagrammers dream. Decor is simply stunning. Staff are lovely.
Definitely the kind of experience you recommend! It’s impossible to walk past that floral facade and not feel anything. Saint Aymes is a really unique cafe, from Gold cutlery to pink napkins the whole flat lay set up is out of this world. It is pricey but worth it as it’s really a unique experience and a London icon. I ordered the Marie Antoinette 24ct milkshake, with cotton candy. It was so OTT I loved it. My friend and I had a great time, staff were cool. It’s just one of those things you have to do.
Beautiful atmosphere and food was very good! Loved the unicorn milkshake!
The service was absolutely awful. Our order arrived staggered, with large gaps in between each person receiving their drink, which was never acknowledge by staff. For four people: One of the drinks was served incorrectly, 2 of the deserts never arrived, the one desert that did actually arrive was for two people to share as stated on the menu - we requested side plates so the dish was easier to eat, these also never arrived.
Nobody came to check to see if we were enjoying our order or if we needed anything else & long after we had finished - nobody came to present us with our bill. When we were ready to leave we headed back upstairs to settle the bill and explained half of our order had not come. The member of staff was extremely unpleasant, did not apologise or seem to care at all, the conversation actually seemed to be an irritating inconvinence they clearly wished would end, which was not unlike our visit in all honesty.
When we asked why half of the order had not come and if this werenormal, we were offered no apology but only an explanation that they "are busy". We immediately looked around to find we were one of a total of 3 parties in currently there, we looked understandably flummoxed, to which the member of staff then said "it's not just serving customers, we also have to do the cleaning". Whilst I sympathise that perhaps they were busy earlier or the staff do indeed have a number of responsibilities they need to attend to, I don't feel this should impact the experience of paying customers quite so severely. Moreover, I can't believe the lack of respect and basic politeness we experienced when settling our bill. In what world is it appropriate to neglect paying customers, mess up orders and then act take no responsibility.
It might be cute for Instagram but we had an awful time while we were there.
Staff was very unfriendly. Demanded the £40 minimum when there were many many seats available and I was a single person. Food wasn’t worth the money at all and they were constantly washing dishes in front of you so all you heard was rushing water and dishes clanging. Would not recommend to anyone and regret my visit. Anyone can add gold dust to something, next time a simple “you’re welcome” when someone thanks you would go a long way. Etiquette could really improve this shop, there’s no need to act above your clients.
•Food was far too sweet
•Your Instagram makes it look so much fun and exciting and then turned up and outside was pretty but on Instagram the inside looks much bigger and nicer than it is
• quite expensive, and to have a minimum expenditure charge of £40 to be able to book a table is ridiculous, anywhere else is free
•I hate to be rude but I’m if sure you know yourself that it is a licence to print money
But overall alright
